IF YOU LIKE PIÑA COLADAS / tavern - bubblegum - 01-21-2020 Re: IF YOU LIKE PIÑA COLADAS / tavern - ROXANNE R. - 01-22-2020 Roxanne hardly ever went to the tavern for several reasons but tonight, she figured that she'd make an exception seeing as she had spotted the sight of her niece heading for the said building. Roxie wanted to spend a lot more time with her niece and she supposed that this would be the form of how she would spend it though she knew she was a lightweight so she wouldn't indulge on the heavy drinks especially if she didn't want to have a hangover with Roan around that would be rather irresponsible of her. After fixing herself up a bit, the Siamese trotted across the cool sands making her way towards the tavern. Roxanne could already feel the gazes of some tomcats looking at her, she had been a very popular around the time before she had conceived her son, Roan. Her eyes deceived her as she glanced around catching a few of them winking at her, she flattened her ears against her head though they immediately lifted at the sight of the person she had been looking for; Goldenluxury. A wide smile appeared on her maw with her pace quickening, she would fly herself onto a seat near her niece only to purr with a sheepish grin "Hey Goldie!" Her gaze diverted over towards the tavernkeeper nodding slowly as they slid a drink over in her direction, she had decided to stick with the classic virgin drinks. Roxie's tongue swiped across her lips in excitement as she took a small sip before her eyes were fixated onto Goldie once more "How's life, sweet niece of mine?" Whenever she looked at Goldie, she could see such the strong, independent woman she had molded herself to be and Roxanne admired that. She didn't believe she would ever be like Goldie or for that matter, she could never live up to the Roux name like Goldie and Pincher did. The thought saddened her for a moment though she drowned it down with another swig of her drink.

However, this wasn't for the same reasons as his mother. He had been warned away from the place several times before, not only by Roxanne, but also by several of the other adults that lived within the group. Apparently the place served something called 'alcohol,' and they didn't think it was appropriate for such a young boy to be around such a thing. For the most part, he followed these orders, mainly just because he wasn't terribly interested in the tavern. Sure, he was curious about what could possibly be inside, as he was with most places, but most places didn't come with a giant warning side above them saying Roan, keep out. So, usually the child ended up lingering outside of the tavern if he ever got near it, mostly just so he could interact with those coming in and out of it. Those going in usually gradually became annoyed by having their nice night of socializing interrupted by a child who was constantly asking questions, and those going out? Well, they usually came out in a state that confused Roan, what with their stumbling paws and slurred words. Usually their eyes were so glossy and unfocused that they glanced at him once before moving along, not caring enough to listen to the child's ramblings. As a result of his poor experiences outside of the tavern, Roan had been avoiding it, for the most part. However, today was a little bit different, because while the child was lingering in camp, playing with a crab that had crawled up in the sand, he spotted none other than Goldie walking by, and heading into the tavern. His interest was only further piqued when his Mother went inside as well, something he had never really seen her do before. Ears and tail perking up, Roan swatted the little crab that was snapping at him away before he quickly got to his paws, rushing towards the tavern. He hesitated outside the doors for a moment, his steps halting as he looked nervously up at the structure. However, he was a brave boy, and he wasn't going to let this building scare him out of seeing his mother and cousin. Taking a deep breath, the draconic kit pushed his way inside, glancing around at the several seats already occupied. When he saw Goldie and Roxanne, he quickly raced over to them, leaping and scrambling his way up onto a seat beside his Mother. He gently nudged his head against his Mother's shoulder in an effort to grab her attention before he mewed, "Mama. Mama, I wanted to see cousin Goldie... hi cousin Goldie!" His explanation was rather blunt and short as he turned his attention over to Goldie, figuring his mother wouldn't kick him out as long as he stayed close to her. He had no idea what the smell of alcohol in the air was, and really all it did was make the child wrinkle his nose. Re: IF YOU LIKE PIÑA COLADAS / tavern - bubblegum - 01-28-2020 Re: IF YOU LIKE PIÑA COLADAS / tavern - ROXANNE R. - 01-28-2020 Roxie snorted at Goldie's snarky response only to glance at her own drink, she felt like she had forgotten something. She couldn't help but let it nag her though she would push the feeling away for the meantime, it wasn't like she was going to get drunk. Roxie knew that she was a lightweight and frankly, she didn't wish to end up having fun with any of the tavern guys since she was well, spoken for now. If she wanted to get drunk and have a little bit of fun, she'd make sure that it was solely at home seeing as the tavern didn't make her feel comfortable for many reasons. "I hope so, tiger." She mused with a giggle escaping her maw, the Siamese would take a few more sips from her virgin piña colada before she asked for a few more. Her eyes were half closed as she would hum quietly to herself feeling a bit more comfortable now that she was next to her niece's side, she licked her lips a few times feeling quite content. She almost had forgotten why she felt like she was forgetting something, Roxanne would shrug lightly with a giggle leaving her slightly parted maw until the thing - no, the someone she had forgotten about - was now at her side.
Roxanne thought it had been someone else until she heard a familiar voice did she choke on her drink and went into a coughing fit. Eventually she managed to silence her coughing as she offered a faint smile to Roan "Cariño! No debés estar aquí," She chided him lightly only to attempt to wrap her wing protectively around her son, well, if there weren't already eyed on her before there definitely were a lot of gazes on her. It made her fur bristle with a bit of embarrassment coursing through her though it subsided as Goldie asked for an apple juice for Roan. The draconic feline would ease down a bit letting out a soft breath giving her son a few kisses, she smiled at both her niece and son. "We can stay a little while, soon you gotta hit the hay." She decided, the tavern was for everyone, so, she supposed she could let herself and Roan hang a bit just to spend time with Goldie. "character's speech." Re: IF YOU LIKE PIÑA COLADAS / tavern - roan ; - 01-28-2020 [align=center][div style="width: 45%; text-align: justify; font-size: 12pt; letter-spacing: -1px; font-family: times new roman;"]♡ — Roan had honestly had little idea how his mother and cousin would react to his presence within the tavern, considering he had never really been told why he shouldn't go inside the rather loud building, and had pretty much always just been told not to. When cousin Goldie turned to him and smiled before ordering him a drink of apple juice, he felt an identical grin spreading over his muzzle, glad that he wasn't immediately being tossed out of the tavern. He hadn't thought either Roxanne or Goldie would be as cruel as to just brush him off without anything, but it seemed as though he would be allowed, at least for now. When a cup of apple juice was placed in front of him, the boy made a soft and happy sound from the back of his throat, standing up on his back paws to pull the cup close and take a drink. It was very sweet and a tangy flavor he hadn't yet experienced, but he liked it. He said cheerfully to Goldie once he was done, some apple juice dribbling down his chin, "S'good, Goldie! This apple juice is super yummy, and plus, I saw a jellyfish today! It looked real squishy." The experience would more than likely be mundane to Goldie, who had lived near the ocean all her life and had already experienced all of the excitement of it, but Roan's eyes had nearly bulged from his skull when he saw the little floating purple pink creature in the water. After he had rambled a little to his cousin, his mother finally seemed to realize what was going on, if her choking upon her drink was anything to go by. She gently scolded him in Spanish, and his ears briefly flicked back apologetically, but his mother rarely stayed mad at him for long, and he was purring once one of her wings was around him. He squished in close to Roxie's side, keeping his paws on both sides of his glass as he piped up, "Yay! Thank you mama." His tail did tend to droop the smallest bit at the mention of his bedtime, but he didn't protest it, knowing that would be of little use. After all, his mother just wanted to make sure he was getting enough sleep. He had heard her tutting enough times over Goldie working herself too much without enough rest, and although he wasn't working, he doubted his mother wanted him to be all play and no rest either. Re: IF YOU LIKE PIÑA COLADAS / tavern - SÉAMUS - 01-30-2020 [align=center] ☠ Séamus Ó Faoláin Since returning from the Pitt, the Irishman took to fond visits of the tavern once more. The bustling atmosphere fueled him more than the alcohol -- which he enjoyed as well, of course. A request for a drink rested on his tongue before he noticed the arrival of not just Goldenluxury, but Roxanne and Roan as well. Swiftly, he decided to move seats, trotting up to the trio. His typical lopsided grin flashed on his face as his sea-green eyes found Roan, enjoying a cup of apple juice. Good call, Goldie. "Dia Daoibh!" Séamus chirped. "How're ya?" Word of mouth there's a snake in the garden Re: IF YOU LIKE PIÑA COLADAS / tavern - bubblegum - 01-30-2020 |
