it's the burnup // kydobi - bai shi - 01-02-2020 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- BAI SHI " biting the burning bullet to break bones " --------------------------------------------------------------------------- restless. cold restlessness coursed through their limbs, the dragon gliding through the strong air currents high above in the deep blue sky, where the oxygen was thin and their heart pounded, and their thoughts raced. twitching its tail, the great beast shifted its weight uneasily in the star spotted sky. hit by a deep misery, they uttered a low keen, blind eyes blinking away the atmospheric dust and debris. grief rotted deep into their heart, souring their thoughts. they had no purpose in this group and the one that they had stayed for ... had returned but ... it wasn't the same. he was not the man he had been once before, and it should have hurt less, they should have been happy. but they weren't. things were different between them ... again. they had driven him to do something, as they believed, they had been cruel and driven hin away from them. yet had he told them he could not give them his heart? and he slept with another? were they jealous? mad? did they have a right to be? shaking their head, the dragon descended on a sharp angle for the blood-red river in which they aimed to land, directed by scent and sound. landing with a great splash, their toes and talons clutching the stones on the bottom of the riverbed, they groaned at the cool water on their sunbaked skin, burying their head under the water. they needed to face him and speak of things, but this was something that they needed to plan. they weren't upset, not with him, at themselves. of all things, they were upset over this? they had no right. they were courting idyll, or at least they were in the attempt of. something about the coyote drew the shifter in strongly, and they enjoyed it, because even the thought of the coyote brought them peace of mind and heart. breaching the surface, they stretched their aching muscles, enjoying the icy chill as they exhaled, deciding. they needed to find the male that held the other piece of their heart, no matter how much he had rejected their affections. they needed to share words and concerns with him. and so, they brought themselves to their first meeting spot with kydobi, along the border where the trees were thickest, growing from burning and devestation. laying their soaking wet golden body among the trees, they closed their eyes, awaiting the sunrise and the inevitable appearance of the brute. ♕tags-powers♕ [OOC: ] He was, after all, a creature of night. In many ways more than one. So the dragon was not wrong in assuming he would be lurking about somewhere. When he heard the familiar settling groan he would make his move. Knowing that he had been waiting to catch the shifter alone, he would not miss the opportunity. He would emerge from the shadows. The sun reflecting of his shiny black pelt. His eyes always held a subtle glow nowadays, even if he was totally calm. “Bai.” he would say as he walked towards. Looking at the water bounce off their scales like diamonds. It was the quiet of night, and he only had them. “Come here.”, he wanted to hold them. To love them and to snuggle them. There was things he had been to scared to say but now, realized the urgency of them. He was clean now. He was himself... for the most parts. Though things had happened, Bai was always going to be his. Re: it's the burnup // kydobi - bai shi - 01-03-2020 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- BAI SHI " biting the burning bullet to break bones " --------------------------------------------------------------------------- their head turned, hearing his command, listening to his voice. blinking water from blind eyes they gave a soft croon in wordless response, tired body rolling in the current and heading back towards the shore, amusement thickning their tone, "trying to peep upon me washing?" they rumbled. climbing upon the shoulder of the shore, they dug their talons into the rocky peat, arching their body upwards in a skyward arch. "hello, my dear friend", they purred in silky greeting, leaning forward till their noses would touch, blind eyes half closed, comfortable. "you have worries?" they asked, pulling their head back as they motioned to the area the two were in, "you and i both take to this place when we are bothered. our first meeting upon your land.", they would whisper, as if afraid to break the fragile peace of the world around them. ♕tags-powers♕ [OOC: ] His ears pinned to his head when Bai playfully called out his peeping tom behavior. He hadn’t meant to walk in on them bathing, but he didn’t regret it. He dipped his head quietly as he walked closer. Worries? Something like that. It felt like the world was tipping off its axis and onto his shoulders. Kydobi cleared his throat Bai reminded him what this place was and what it meant. For once, his mind returned to a happier memory. Allowing himself to get lost in the comforting thought, a beginning. Everything was brighter then. His nose touched theirs and he would linger before softly pulling away. “Not too stressed. Just a little irritated with Tanglewood.”, he pointed to the wound on his back, “They all hate me. I don’t know what I did to them... but they blame me for actions I did not partake in.” The jaguar sighed once more and he returned his gaze to the being before him. A bit brutish, but he would walk forward and press himself against their body. Searching for comfort in a world of chaos. He didn’t really want to think about it all right now. But he also wanted to let the dragon know what was going on. On top of that, he was worried that feelings were not reciprocated. “I went to go see my son. They gave him a terrible first impression... no one makes me feel more powerless than when I’m trying to talk sense to a Tanglewooder.” Kydobi swallowed a lump in his throat, “sometimes... I wonder if they see something I don’t. I don’t wish harm on anyone but Aurum, Jervis, and Leroy. Kanga as well... wherever that fool lurks.” Re: it's the burnup // kydobi - bai shi - 01-03-2020 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- BAI SHI " biting the burning bullet to break bones " --------------------------------------------------------------------------- the scent of his injury reached them through his comforting scent, concern flashing in their core as they pulled back from their first contact, his scent filling their nose. he has a son ... they thought to themselves, perhaps he has already taken another in bonds. if so ... i must find out tonight., their thoughts wandered before hushing their overactive mind. feeling him press against their body, they let a throbbing purr climb from their gut and out their throat. curling their body the slightest, protective, struck by the horrible memory of his cooling body held in their coil. a half strangled noise escaped them, using their head to press against his shoulder in a silent plea that he stay there. breath trembling, they chased away that memory, focusing back on the present. "it matters not what you did or didn't do, kydobi. men and women like they? they will hate those different from them, they will cast out any difference to their code of living. worry not ... if they attack the pitt ... they will not get very far. they would be acting on old hostilities, trying to take an eye for an eye.", they would murmur, nose brushing against his fur, seeking the wound and wishing to clean it. "your son will see reason, kydobi. I'm sure that his mother hasnt been the one telling him horror stories ... but that aurum ... he will be the one to ruin any potential relationship. he hangs to tightly to old problems, much like i did. i regret hurting red ... but jervis needed to go." they growled softly, a shiver running the length of their body. "they see ghosts in a living man, kydobi. stryker was a far worse leader than jervis, and you can only be better than that tyrant. i see nothing more than the kydobi that i know, the same young man that i met on the border of the rosebloods. you may have grown into your paws and gained a sense of maturity but you are still ..." the kydobi that i fell in love with "... the kydobi that helped me back to my feet, the same kydobi that showed me around the pitt, the same kydobi that has always been there." they murmur in a soft voice, allowing their golden body to morph into their feline body, pressed against him still with their head upon his flank. "they see the good kind of man that they wish that they could be. they see a father denied his rights to his children. they see a warrior who keeps going despite what is thrown at him." ♕tags-powers♕ [OOC: ] Eyes would close as a they began to groom him. He would sit there, just listening to their wise words and basking in their soft touch. It brought immense comfort to know that he had touched someone’s life in such a good and seemingly impactful way. It was also a nice and fresh perspective to think that they hated him out of jealousy rather than belief he was evil.. and as much as he wanted to believe it was all envy, he feared the worst. “I just want my children...”, he would say in a fragile whisper. He would shove his face in Bai’s armored scales. He felt his face quaking and didn’t wish for them to see the stoic mask break. Even if momentarily. But he wouldn’t cry, not around others. Kydobi sighed as his eyebrows furled together in a frown. He had thought of a million things. Most of which, his children’s opinion on him. The marauder desperately wanted them to love him, he craved and fantasized about a relationship with them. A blossoming father and child bond that would only grow stronger and stronger as years passed. The last thing he ever wanted any of his children to experience was a broken home. Before he knew of their existence he had always imagined his a happy home, with both parents in the picture. But that was far from what he got. And it was hard, he didn’t want them to feel that deep loneliness he had experienced so young. He didn’t want them to be damaged the way a lost child can be. What he really didn’t want was them to view him as he viewed his father figure. That was scariest of all. He would blink away the heat building in his eyes. Knowing the dark tears wouldn’t do any good. ”I didn’t mean for them to happen. Didn’t think me and their mother were even... compatible like that.” he winced as he felt their tongue touch his wound, “but they’re here and I owe them as a father.” Re: it's the burnup // kydobi - bai shi - 01-04-2020

THE GENERAL

"as any responsible parent would, kydobi. their circumstance of birth should not haunt them. you do owe them that, yes, especially as their father. aurum stops your attempts to reach them, doesn't he? you have a right to them. you just need to reach out to their mother." they murmured softly, pressing him closer in an awkward attempt to comfort him. they knew he would not cry, not show weakness in front of anyone but once ... once they had been that close that he may have cried in their presence. resting their paw on his shoulder in an embrace, they finished grooming his wound and pushed their nose to his ear before giving a gentle yank if he would let them. standing up and stepping away, they motioned him with a curl of their tail, "let's move somewhere more comfortable, and more private." they murmured gently, heading back towards the pitt's main camp, trailing through the market and square, walking at his side or briefly ahead of him, keeping their tail on his shoulder as a guide. heading towards their den, the panther halted just outside of the sandstone walls. tail twitching behind them, they considered the still-warm stone before vaulting themselves up it, paws finding cracks in the stone and wood, muscles flexing as they hauled themselves up the wall. cresting the top, they stuck their head over the edge, and curled their tail as they called down, "weren't expecting that, were you? come up, there might be an easier way inside. nobody can disturb us here, and it's isolated. high up too." blue eyes glinting, they pulled back from the edge, crossing the wooden beams back towards the section of the roof that still bore a large slab of stone, enough that two of them in dragon form could curl up. there in the corner, was the beginning of a nest, fresh and new. settling on the straw and branches, they stamped down a comfortable portion before tugging a fur over it. sitting in the rougher materials, they nudged their pearl, a giant gem the size of one of their eggs, into the nest and settled with a great yawn. this was a safe place, one that they alone knew of. ♕tags-powers♕ [OOC: ] Although he had been moping, the soft caresses of Bai would send chills down his spine. Making Kydobi adjust his paws and swallow. But the message was loud and clear, Aurum was an issue. Someone who had to be dealt with. Jervis? Jervis was somehow alive but not for long. He would make sure and he was positive Goldie would too. Kydobi quickly forgot about his sorrows. Finding life in such simple and seductively sweet touches. Naturally, his mind wandered to more mature ideas. He was slightly confused as of how he had never ever gotten truly intimate with them before. And they were in his favorite form as well. Kydobi’s eyes closed halfway in a slight trance, he would follow like a dog in a leash. Loving their tail on his shoulder. A simple “mhm” would be his agreement to their proposition. Quietly the two traveled through the camp, anticipation tickling his pelt. He would happily watch them scale the sandstone. Getting a little more excited at the flexing muscles. When they spoke Kydobi looked away, slightly embarrassed. Clearing his throat he smiled, “not expecting that.. but hoping for something even sweeter.” He would flirt. Perhaps a little bold for the usually so socially careful cat. But he was a very lusty man despite his lack of activity apart from Indie. He would climb the wall with significant ease. His paws gripped the wall with ease, not needing and crevice or crack. But it still took a large amount of strength to just defy gravity and climb vertically. Plus he wanted to put on a show. He would be sure to flex all his muscles. Smiling as the moonlight reflected of their ripples. But then he remembered they were blind and probably couldn’t see it. He cleared his throat again and smiled. There was brief confusion at the huge rock but he would ignore it. Quietly and rather quickly he would settle into the best beside them. Preferring to be in their embrace, he would rest his hind paws in them and pull them softly closer with his front legs. But there was some things he had to get out. Something weighing heavy. His mouth suddenly got dry.. he either had to gush it all out or forever keep quiet. “Bai... I love you. I really do and I didn’t want to admit it before but now i will”, he would shove his head in the space of their neck and shoulder, “I’m sorry for how I acted with Idyll. I don’t like them, never will because they can take you away from me. I don’t want to share you let alone lose you.” He would pause... fearing they would reject him. His heart was thundering in his chest and his breath quickened in nervousness. “I love you so much. Be with me. Be mine. Only mine... please. i need you.” Re: it's the burnup // kydobi - bai shi - 01-07-2020

THE GENERAL

I do love them, as much as I love you, Kydobi. It would not be fair to split myself between the two of you ... but it's what my heart tells me I can do. Should do. I can be yours, yes, but not yours alone. I do not expect you to be mine alone, Kydobi, that's too cruel of me to ask you to do that when I lay with another. I am ... happy to have two different parts of my life, two parts that i love very dearly. You will have two parts of your own if we were to become a couple, your first family and your children, and then me." they murmur softly, resting their head on his shoulder, silently begging him to not run away from his problems again. if he did ... then they very well might just focus their heart on idyll. Re: it's the burnup // kydobi - Kydobi - 01-07-2020 NOTHING SWEET 'BOUT MY MISERY -
♕tags-powers♕ [OOC: ] It was going well until their second sentence. Kydobi’s ears pinned backwards when he heard them mention Idyll. As they continued he nearly pulled back, but found he couldn’t. He just froze. In all honesty he was shocked. He feared rejection but part of him had believed this would go smoothly. But it hadn’t, and he was surprised but quickly realized that this was his life. What had he expected? This was how it always went. He was foolish to think his luck had changed just because he had died and started anew. What they said made no sense. Bai shi wasn’t just some half-hearted fling. This was real, he meant it. He didn’t desire anyone, he hadn’t even wanted Indie. She was just a distraction, something to get him to stop thinking about Bai and Idyll. If you loved someone you didn’t want anyone else. At least if love existed, that’s how he believed it worked. So going by that logic, he figured Bai didn’t truly love him. It was one sided, at least that’s how he saw it. He would remove his head, trying to hold in the tremors of a breaking heart. A hot cocktail of hurt and anger. No longer with gentleness, he would stand up and step away. Avoiding their gaze. His lusty thoughts were all gone. First family? What? Didn’t they understand that he came here with nothing? That if he didn’t have those children... that without Bai he really had nothing? Kydobi’s lip quivered and he would say nothing. Eyes stung but he wouldn’t cry, although dark tears dangerously pooled along his waterline. Trying to calm himself down, “Anyone but them.” but their inability to let the damn coyote go was all Kydobi needed to do so. He would make the decision for them then. He wouldn’t give them the satisfaction of having two fools, “I guess we were never meant to be.” he said coldly. He locked it all away. “They can have you.”, he was hurt truly, and while he wished to play it off as nothing he knew he would cry the moment he was out of sight. He hadn’t even told Bai the news, “I have greater things to worry about than playing some sick game of tug of war with my heart.” Uh oh, two whole steps backwards. Was all that time really a waste? His face quivered and he would turn suddenly and disappear. He couldn’t control the tears but he would never let them see it. Now invisible to the naked eye, he would quickly make his way down the way he came. And what could he do now? [/exit] |
