[ BABY DEER GRACE ❧ CROWLEY ] - guts - 12-28-2019 Apparently there were traps littered out in the wet lands that Tanglewood resided, both natural and man-made. Pits of spikes concealed by leaves, bear traps ready to sink their teeth into unsuspecting legs, quicksand that swallowed people whole. Also, there were gators. As if the wild-life and murky pools of water weren't enough to make those who came across the territory turn tail and leave. So, with no knowledge of where and what to watch out for, she confined herself in the village inside the swamp. It was a nice place, at least, cozy in the way it was presented. She could see that they prided themselves on their home and keeping it nice-looking. Right now, with nothing else to do but wander around and familiarize herself, Adelaide set out to explore the town. It wasn't an awfully big place, at least not that she figured, but maybe there were some fun things to entertain herself with. Maybe there was a library around here that she could raid. But she had a terrible habit of not watching where she was going. Well, not usually, but now she did, in a new place like this. It was that, combined with her new long legs and the lack of experience with them, that led her to trip and fall over onto her face when her paw caught on something. The maned wolf landed in a heap. It definitely wasn't pleasant, considering she had fallen at least ten times today, and the fact that the wounds on her hindquarters were still healing. Not cool. She looks over to see what she's tripped on and there, not looking very pleased about what had just happened, was a snake, scales black and red. She could only assume this was another member, a resident of Tanglewood. She smiles cheerfully, if not a little sheepish. "Hi there! Uh, sorry about that. New legs." she says, lifting a back paw and wiggling it as emphasis. [member=7789]CROWLEY[/member] Re: [ BABY DEER GRACE ❧ CROWLEY ] - arcy - 01-02-2020 -
Ah, fuck.
There's not a lot that could wake Crowley up once he fell asleep. He was nothing if not a deep sleeper, see -- possibly to his own detriment. Definitely to his own detriment. He hasn't been properly awake in a month at least. Crowley could, however, safely say thhat he can be woken up by being tripped on. It happens in a second, Crowley's nerves flaring -- itshappeningagain never saffe never safe -- It's just a maned wolf. Crowley, as a snake, doesn't have eyelids, so he can't blink at her. Instead, he stares, bleariness and mild alarm somehow registering on his face. Then, catching up -- he smirks. "New legs?" He says, more amused than annoyed. He's long since made peace with the absolute .. bizarreness of these people. Sort of. Carefully, Crowley uncoils, and then -- mimics her. It's been a while since he'd had legs at all, and he hardly minds a change. And, well - maned wolf isn't a bad choice. So, a maned wolf he becomes, starkly different from Adelaide. He musters a sharp grin as he stretches. Possibly, in another universe, this may have been a villain's scene. Crowley was not a villain, though. "Haven't seen you around before. Been sleeping," There's a point to this, but he's paused by a yawn. A rather large, unnerving yawn, but a yawn nonetheless. "Name's Crowley. Who're you?" He thinks he should geel bad for being so out of the loop. He isn't very -- Crowley isn't the most social creature, be it by choice or because he didn't have one at all, one can't be sure. It doesn't hurt to start small, anyways. -
Re: [ BABY DEER GRACE ❧ CROWLEY ] - guts - 01-02-2020 Okay. So, she was new to this whole animal thing, and she definitely didn't need to get caught up in this whole shape-shifting thing. She didn't even know powers were a thing in this universe. So she was just supposed to find out herself, huh? She's pleased at first, when he doesn't seem to be angry with her tripping over him and disturbing his sleep, but that quickly changes to surprise when he suddenly changes right in front of her. Once he's finished, now another maned wolf standing in front of her, she silently gawks at him for a long minute. Her brain was thoroughly fried, thanks, Crowley. "Oh my goodness! How did you do that?!" There she goes again, nearly falling in her attempt to stand. "I've never seen anything like that before!" The female swore, she felt like she had found herself in a fairytale. Talking animals? And now one of them could change forms? This was all so strange, and while it bewildered her, she wasn't complaining. There were so many new things to learn and to see! Adelaide can't help herself from circling around him to get a better look, wanting to see if any attributes of his snake form had remained, besides the forked tongue she noticed when he yawned. And his eyes. Oh, she already had some ideas in mind--and none of them were ideas Crowley would probably like. Unless he enjoyed having his insides probed. She didn't mean any harm, she was just...an interesting person. That lacked any boundaries. |
