CENTURIES — return - SÉAMUS - 12-28-2019

The faerie felt nothing short of relief, stepping onto the railroad.  He hardly despised his time among the Pitt, operating as the spy he enjoyed being, but a pirate could only live in the desert for so long.  The Irishman belonged close to the ocean, in a truly free land.  He clicked his tongue as he trotted through the jungle, slinking through familiar pathways as the rusty spotted cat he'd been born as.

He sought out the Tavern and a drink.  Wearing his signature grin and ordering a shot, the faerie found a comfortable seat among the hustle-and-bustle of the inn.  Hopefully a familiar face may find him soon —  lest he get bored his first day back.

Keona knew.  A simple vague sense of knowing, likely due to the mental connection.  Her tail flicked.  Pale hues blink and with a thoughtful frown, the tiny Privateer begins to pad up to the Tavern.

Every member of the Typhoon knew and loved the Tavern.  A key landmark of home.  Only the faerie found the building often too crowded, or loud, for her liking.  Extra caution lived in her steps, attempting to maneuver around in close quarters, ears flattened.

She might give up, frustrated, if it weren't for her fiercely stubborn nature.  She didn't hide her irritation however, when she finally found him.  More than eager to simply sit and settle her frazzled nerves, Keona shuffled across from Séamus. "Aloha, Athair."

She wouldn't lie.  She missed him.  Despite their ability to communicate across great distances, she supposed she had missed having him close by.  Quiet and independent as she may be, Keona enjoyed knowing her family was near.

Re: CENTURIES — return - MARINA - 01-01-2020

There was something oh-so relaxing about the tavern. The loose vibe and dark setting had always welcomed Marina, minus the deceitful drinks. Underlying schemes laid under the nose of many within the bar, but the jaguar truly didn’t mind. Their chaos was welcome. If they chose to be rowdy and drink to their heart’s desire, then so be it. No judgement would be passed here. After all, everyone had to deal with life’s nonchalant woes and it’s endless troubles. A place to unwind was vital.

Finding herself in the midst of the chaos, she embraced the environment around her. If the drunkards could mingle, so could she. Multicolored irises scanned the area. Her eyes landed on Keona soon enough. She seemed to be conversing with someone familiar. Marina, now interested, wandered over. A smile dawned on her maw as she grew closer, eventually placing herself next to the smaller female. “Heya,” she piped up. “Ya new here, bucko?”

Re: CENTURIES — return - Kian. - 01-01-2020

Kian frequented the tavern on routine.  A friendly spirit, the faerie simply loved to enjoy the time surrounded by the other patrons.  It all felt familiar to the Irishman.  Just as seeing a cat nearly indentical to him in appearance was a familiar fact of life.  He did blink however.

His twin had been absent for moons.  On some 'business', but Kian received no further explanation from him and that was the end of the story.  He had a sneaking suspicion Keona knew exactly what his brother had been up to, but she kept her mouth shut too.  Kian didn't want to pry or push, even if he didn't like secrets and he certainly didn't always trust his mischievous brother.

So, when he spotted his identical twin, he trotted over.  Unusually quiet, he joined his daughter and Marina.  "No, 'e's not new, miss Marina." God knows Kian would not have minded if his brother was no crewmember here.  In his experience, the other Irishman was more trouble than he was worth.  Though I suppose... He hasn't caused much in recent times...

"Though it has been awhile, Séamus," he added with a curious look.

Deceitful as the fae may often be, he missed Keona.  She truly was the pride and joy of their family.  She also knew exactly where he'd been for the past few moons.  As such, his sea-green optics glinted mischievously, seemingly more and more enthused by the curiosity of a colorful jaguar and his own twin.

For Keona, he offered a warm purr, "dia dhuit, Sibi."

For the others, his face lit up in a grin, tilting his head thoughtfully at the colorful lady.  "Not at all, lass." In fact, he realized, April would mark two years with the Typhoon.  Now there's a funny thought.  "But I've been gone, doin' a job for Goldie," he added with a smirk, raising an amused brow at Kian.  A job now done, allowing the pirate a well-earned break from the desert -- no need for a spy within the ranks with the Typhoon captain directly watching over things.

"Marina, is it?  It's a pleasure to meet you, lass.  My name is Séamus ó Faoláin, 'an I'm actually a Striker 'ere."

Re: CENTURIES — return - MARINA - 01-02-2020

Seeing Kian trot over caused her to stare between the two. Twins. How dull could she be? She didn’t even manage to confuse Seamus for Kian. Marina could already tell she was going to get them confused if she didn’t look for differences right away. Hesitant to acknowledge the subject, she just slightly laughed to herself. “Well, that’s my bad,” she responded to Kian.

Her gaze shifted to the other identical twin. A slight smile tugged on her lips. “Welcome t- back to the island then,” the jaguar replied. She couldn’t help but prod further on Seamus’ next comment though. “What’d you do for her?” Whatever it may be, she was interested. What could their dearest leader be up to?

Seeing others recognize the twins for who they were often amused the pirate.  In their youth it occurred more frequently.  They were both independent individuals however, and if one knew how to look, they'd see the clear differences.  Séamus acted with more mischief and it often showed on face and within his eyes.

He chuckled softly, offering no ire for Marina's confusion or faltered speech.  The spotted feline wondered how long she'd been a crewmate herself.  As far the business he'd been up to, the faerie smirked once again, his notched ear twitching.  "Simply a matter of assistance with the Pitt."

Truthfully, he felt uncertain how much information he could divulge about his status -- should he be asked to conduct similar missions in the future, the less others knew, the better.  Knowledge was true power and he had to watch the paws it fell into.

"I'm more interested in things around 'ere.  Did I miss anything while I was away?"

Re: CENTURIES — return - Kian. - 01-05-2020

The Irishman shook his head in exasperation.  Kian felt for everyone who had to try to tell the two apart.  For him, of course, it was another fact of life.  He knew he may as well look into a mirror whenever he stared down his brother, if not for the fact the two never truly saw eye to eye on much.

He shifted back with a frown at the mention of the Pitt.  Sneaky assistance, morelike.  An amused huff left his maw.  "There's not much to say, honestly."  The faerie felt more inclined to know about the Pitt and the status there.  "Goldie had us paint the sails for Christmas, if that interests ya."
