angelfish // food stall - candorosa - 12-22-2019 [align=center][div style="width:70%; text-align: justify; padding: 1px; font-family: helvetica;"]These past few days had really taken a toll on him. Lemy felt as if his eyebags had grown exponentially following all of the discourse. A lot more could be said about what he thought about the situation, though those thoughts would keep him occupied some other day. Today, he was focused on getting his stall set up. So, he set aside his worries and busied himself with his stall. Lemy had created a wooden sign to hang above his stall, the words 'Food Stall' written in bold rotunda script. Without any actual ink, Lemy was forced to substitute the lettering with black paint. It was a painstaking process but he was satisfied with the result. For those who couldn't read, he stuck a paper sign under the wooden one with a scribble of a fork and knife doodled onto it. The food itself ranged from hot food such as tomato soup to rabbit meat kebabs and everything in between. He had a few baked treats and a covered platter of duck meat he had roasted for anyone who wanted poultry. For those who craved fruit, the options were limited due to the season, but he had scrounged for what he could. They would have to make do with citruses, apples, figs, and pomegranates. He also had some roasted crickets, for the insectivores out there or the curious ones. As for drinks, he had a separate fire going with a pot of hot cocoa for anyone who wanted a warm drink. If they wanted water they could eat snow. He also had a pot labeled 'Tea! (Bring Your Own Herbs ★)' which consisted of pure hot water. Why couldn't he provide the herbs to make tea with? Because he was the proud owner of Zero (0) plants that could make tea. He was herbally-illiterate. With his knowledge, he might accidentally give some sap a pipin' hot cup of poison ivy tea. Sure, maybe the food didn't scream out 'five-star restaurant' but it was good and that was what mattered. Plus, they were animals. What the fuck were they going to know about fine dining? He was not going to accept criticism and that was final. With his preparations complete, he took a deep breath and yelled out: "Come buy some food if ya want some!" Satisfied that his loud voice would carry his message, Lemy sat back and waited.
