Now, this could technically be considered part of the Christmas event that had been going on in the Halls for a while now, but that wouldn't truly be entirely true. After all, the game of dreidel and betting with gelt was a Jewish Hanukkah tradition, and not a Christmas one. However, since they were technically just borrowing from Christmas traditions as well, Vox had decided that it wasn't exactly a crime for them to borrow from Hanukkah traditions either. Besides, he remember playing this little betting game with Hadley when he was younger, and although it was all a game of chance, it had always been a lot of fun, and Vinny thought that everyone could get a big of a kick out of it. Hopefully nobody would get too competitive over a game of pure chance, but he wasn't entirely sure that Aslisk would resist the urge to strangle someone over possibly losing... he decided that he just needed to keep a close eye on her if she decided to participate. And also mention many times that it was not a game founded on the basis of skill, since he really didn't need a self conscious Aslisk stomping around in a sour mood all day.

Finding the supplies in order to play dreidel had been a bit tough, since it had involved searching through apartment after apartment to find a Jewish family that actually had them before everything had went to shit, but eventually he did, and he was pretty damn overjoyed. So, taking the dreidel he had found, along with the several bags of gelt he had managed to get his claws on, Vin had set up a table in the ground floor of the fortress, laying the supplies out neatly in front of them. After reviewing the rules for himself – and doing a couple of practice spins of the dreidel with his wing claws to ensure he could actually spin it – Vinny felt satisfied that everything was set up as it needed to be. He stretched out his wings a bit as people began to wake up and shuffle about on their daily routines, waiting until a large portion of the building was awake before he called out enthusiastically, "If anybody wants ta learn how ta play with a dreidel, then come over 'ere! I've got a really fun bettin' game f'us all ta enjoy!" He figured he could entice at least a couple of people over, since it wasn't as if you needed a ton of people to play with a dreidel.
