NIGHTMARE IN DREAMLAND ☆ meeting 11/15 - redvox. - 11-15-2019

REDVOX "VINNY" ABRAMO - cis male - goat-bat hybrid - harbinger
[Image: pEeXKGc.png]
It was sort of surreal, being in charge of the Halls of Hiraeth again after all this time. Sure, it had been a couple of weeks since Vinny had originally announced the official refounding of the group, but every morning he woke up and was caught off guard by the scent of the Halls, and the growth covered room around him. Still, that was in no way a bad thing, and Redvox couldn't help the grin that graced his face every day he stepped outside of his room and saw other Halls members milling about, achieving tasks and working together while getting to know each other. It was all so exciting, in fact, that Vox had nearly forgotten that he was supposed to host a meeting soon. After all, people needed to know what was going on within the group, not to mention the fact that the only high position at the moment was himself, and even if that made him feel special, it was also stressful as hell. So, he had been keeping an eye on things for the last couple of weeks, and he had decided what he was going to do for this first meeting, feeling quite confident in his decisions. The hybrid took a deep breath as he moved to the front steps of the town hall that stood impressively in town, his clawed wings pulling him up onto the top step before he turned around, calling out loudly, "'Ey! Everybody gather 'round, alright? It's meetin' time!" It was a rather informal call to gather, but Vinny had never been the most formal guy in the world, and he preferred to see smiling faces looking up at him when people gathered, rather than grim and respectful neutral looks. Thankfully for him, people began to gather around before too long, glancing up at him curiously. He could notice some of the younger members of the group playfully shoving each other, excitedly mumbling what they thought might be going on, or who might get promoted. A soft chuckle left Vox at this, and he waited until most of the group was around before speaking, "Hello everyone! It's good ta see y'all here. This is th'first official meetin' of the Halls of Hiraeth, and first and foremost, I'd like ta say that I'm real proud of us! This place 'as been booming ever since the foundin', and it's really amazing ta see. I'd like us ta keep that up, if possible."

He watched as the people around him excitedly whooped and looked happily at each other, evidently proud that they had been working so hard. He bit back a huge grin and waited for the crowd to settle once again before continuing, "So, I'm sure a lot of ya are wonderin' who I'm gonna end up promotin', since it's not like I can run this place by m'self. Well, I've been payin' close attention to everybody that's been around, and I've made a few decisions, don't y'worry." He glanced around, his eyes falling upon the first couple of names that came to mind as he continued, "First up is your new sentinels. In case ya didn't know, our sentinels are the steppin' stone rank 'round here. They've showed a ton of activity, and I'm impressed by their skills. I've decided ta promote Aslisk, D, 'n' Cottontail ta this rank. You've all shown impressive activity, not ta mention your skills. Aslisk, I was considering ya for Arch-templar, but ya need to learn t'control your temper. Y'can't be in charge of our main fightin' force if ya can't even go without threatenin' your leader. Show me some improvement? Things might change. In recognition of how I can't turn a fuckin' corner in this place without runnin' into ya, however, I'd like ta also give you the title of Hot Shot." He held eye contact with the new sentinel for a moment, before giving her a small nod of appreciation. She had been active as all hell lately, and he appreciated that, but he couldn't put her in a position of power if she wasn't able to control herself. Sighing, the male then said, lifting his head and smiling, "As for Arch-rogue and Arch-templar... well, they're pretty self explanatory, 'eh? They're in charge of th'rogues and the templars, and they help me out 'round here. I've thought about it a lot, and I'd like Roman ta step up as Arch-Templar, and Breena ta step up as Arch-rogue. You've both shown activity and the ability ta keep it together in tough situations, and that's why I've decided ta promote you two. Don't make me regret it." He gave another firm nod, as if trying to reassure himself he had made the right decision. He had bounced back and forth between so many different names in an effort to figure out who to promote, and he still felt some sense of nervousness even as he announced it.

Once the crowd had settled once more, Vox sighed and mumbled as he pulled his wings in close, shaking his head a bit, "Unfortunately, I haven't seen anybody ta promote to the rank of Cleric just yet, which is a problem. We don't know when we could 'ave injuries, and I'd like somebody who can deal with that. Because'a this, Roman, I'd like y'ta host some sort of class on medicine 'n' shit. You're the only member 'round here who has shown any knowledge, and I'd like ya t'share some of it. I'll be keepin' my eye out at the class for any future promotees." He felt nervous that they still didn't have a cleric yet, especially since they had already had several injuries just in their territory alone, but at the very least Roman could teach them all a little something in case of emergencies, and maybe somebody would show some interest. He then said, rolling his shoulders, "In addition ta all of that, shoutout ta Kilius. Y'haven't been as active as some others, but I've still taken notice, and if ya keep it up, y'could climb the ladder as well. And, uh, a big welcome ta Alaire 'n' Ta'nukk. We're glad ta have ya in the Halls." They'd had a few joiners since their founding, which just sort of added onto the surreal nature of everything for the hybrid.

He then mumbled, a sigh leaving him as he glanced in the direction of the shrine to Bertille, his gaze darkening for a moment, "In addition ta keepin' my eye open for a possible Regent, I'm also keepin' my eyes open for a priest as well. The priest's a highly important rank ta the group, and it has t'be somebody pretty damn devout. 'Cause of this, I'm gonna host a class on the pantheon of th'Halls pretty soon ta get everybody informed. So keep an eye out f'that." That was about all of the information in relation to promotions, so now it was time for some other important stuff, "As f'some other stuff goin' on... well, th'fact is that we're not too connected ta the outside groups right now. Because of that, I'd like ta send either one person or a pair of people ta go to each group 'n' let them know about us, as well as offer an alliance if they seem like they'd be interested. Er, each group 'cept Th'Pitt, of course. They don't deserve shit from us. So, if y'willing to to go to one of the other groups, please speak up." He then fell silent for a moment to catch his breath, figuring that some people would have some groups in particular that they'd want to go to.

( TL;DR FOR THE MEETING
– The group is doing great! Vox and I are really proud of all the activity, and pumped to see more of it.
– [member=8864]Aslisk[/member], [member=9358]DCLXVI.[/member], and [member=7725]!! COTTONTAIL[/member] are promoted to sentinels, and Aslisk is given the activity title of Hot Shot
– [member=5538]romanempire[/member] is promoted to Arch-Templar, and [member=9348]breena.[/member] is promoted to Arch-Rogue
– There's nobody up for Cleric yet, so Vox wants Roman to host a little medical class for everyone and will be keeping an eye out for anybody who shows interest
– Activity Shoutout for [member=9290]KILIUS[/member], and a warm welcome to [member=9389]alaire[/member] and [member=9369]ta’nükk[/member]
– Vox is going to host a class on the Halls Pantheon soon, and is keeping an eye out for someone to promote to Priest
– Vox would like one person or a pair of people to go to each of the other groups (except the Pitt) and let them know about the existence of the Halls, as well as possibly becoming allies. Anyone can volunteer for this )

[align=center]— breena | halls of hiraeth arch-rouge | druid —
The petite badger joined on the outskirts of the crowd as it began to grow.  Her own body still felt odd to her, thanks to her earlier shifting... Practice, but at least she was mostly comfortable.  With that.  Pressing her lips, the druid ignored the prickling feeling of close quarters and turned her dark hues towards Redvox.  First meeting.  Kinda of exciting, she supposed.  A sweet little milestone for their new group.

The very concept of ranks remained semi-foreign to her.  Her simple family clan knew little official ranks, or the like, simply living harmoniously, if not somewhat quietly, together.  Nonetheless, Breena expected she ought to at least offer the new Sentinels a smile each.  Shy as always, but congratulations appeared to be in order.  Polite.

Redvox continued by explaining the basic duties of the Arch-templar and rouge.  Simple in name.  As a rouge herself, Breena would follow the Arch-rouge.  Simple.  No... Follow... Her?  The druid went shock-still.  A rock in the shape of a young badger.  Me?

"I-I..." Keep it together?  By the stars.  "Thank you." Her acceptance is nearly inaudible, soft voice surprised.  Flattered too.  He trusted her.  He wanted others to follow her.  Silently, her head bows, the movement almost something to knock her over, but she wanted to acknowledge Redvox in a visible way.  He may not have heard her in the crowd after all.

As part of the crowd, Breena shuffled, breathing out when attention pulled away.  They would need a healer.  Obviously.  While the badger knew well the basics, as medicinal studies fell into an important subject for druids, she lacked the true passion.  Helping others always appealed to her, but full-time healers led busy, sometimes overwhelming lives.  Hopefully they found someone soon though.

She sat back on her haunches, the rest of the gat's words beginning to wash over.  She wanted to be away from the crowd.  Her chest... Achy almost.  Tighter.  Three's a crowd...  Or nightmare.

But Breena's eyes sparked with more attention at the prospect of visiting their neighbors.  Curiosity led to her clearing her voice softly, sheepish whenever any eyes landed on her once again.  "I'm... Willing to go."  Since the badger knew next to nothing about the other groups, Breena felt drawn to find out, without a preference to where.

ROMANEMPIRE
"I'm sorry, secret siren, but I'm blocking out your calls"
It was unusual for Roman to show up to meetings, being in a place where he was surrounded by a bunch of people made him nervous, worrying about whether or not Trojan would show his grim face, or the thought of his father randomly showing up her and now, in a place where Roman was happy, simply to take that away from him. Ro wasn't sure how he'd be able to handle it if that was the case. Though he showed up anyway, curiosity ultimately being the thing that would kill him, and it seemed as though by looking around he was one of the first to do so. He couldn't complain about that, it meant he could listen to the things that were going on first and then not have to worry about missing anything, though he guessed if someone did miss things, he'd be sought out to speak to them about what had happened - but that wasn't something that happened often, in his experience.

Sitting down, the demi-god male would prick his ears, looking up towards Vox as he listened to the words that he spoke, golden eyes watching as the words came from the leader's maw, and Ro would simply nod along, suddenly stopping when the other had gotten to the promotions. Ro himself was promoted? And to arch-templar no less, with the words that Vox had spoken before promoting Roman, he knew that Aslisk could potentially be angry with him, seemingly taking the position out from under her, though he couldn't help what had been done, and couldn't help her temper.

"Thank you," A soft mumble would come from the male, offering a simple nod directly to Vox instead of the slight nodding he had been doing to the words, and then he would open his maw, closing it soon after at the request of him holding a training session for medicine. He hadn't done something like that in a long time, the last time being before he found out he was a demi-god, when things had been simpler. "Uh, sure. I can hold a learning session." He'd have to remember to do it sometime after the meeting was over, or else he'd probably forget entirely. "Congrats to those who were promoted, and I think it'd be best if I didn't go to other groups so soon after the raid... I think I may have fucked something up during it, and it wouldn't look good for us if I went." He had already tried to go to Elysium to talk to Rin about why he had left, and apologize, but he didn't think that turned out too well.

Re: NIGHTMARE IN DREAMLAND ☆ meeting 11/15 - fulzanin - 11-16-2019

Meetings in this world were different than the ones she was used to. Where she had her most recent home, with her wife and children, she had been one of the highest members of the society. There was a Queen who overruled everyone. There was the King that raised the young. Then every city sent a representative of their most dominant element to a Council to discuss all the matters. She had been the representative of her kind. The Queen had known her long before she had ever been considered for being given such a title. Aslisk had tried to kill her more than once. She'd almost managed, a few times. She was the reason there was a wound that never healed right across her face. To demonstrate that if she kept it up, she would be punished further. That was their first ever interaction. Aslisk had been bound and had to watch her wife fall to her death in a ravine - an addition to her punishment.

Slowly the wyvern came trotting over. With fierce burn wounds that had resulted from a flame that had burnt her entire body, getting over to the announcement had been a struggle. Most of it had been done by teleporting, but the exhaustion that overcame her from the fierce wounds kept her from going far. She cursed how teleportation worked here. Before she had been able to cross entire planets in the blink of an eye. It added to irritation, but she was too exhausted to uphold it. Aslisk found herself straining to hear - certainly a part of her fire caused injuries and the delicate webbing that made up her ears being burnt. Temper. It was her temper that had stood between her and a promotion that the wyvern hadn't even known to exist. Maybe she had. Her thoughts were warm and not by rage and so she had a hard time making swift sense of them. Briefly the wyvern question what skills she had demonstrated other than being prepared to fight for what she believed true on a moments notice. Yet, even with how disoriented and hurt she was, a snort sounded at the title of 'hot shot' being graced to her. Was that in reference to her severe wounds? Her temper? Aslisk decided to go with the latter, since that seemed to be the entire reasoning for not getting a better promotion.

There was the slightest feeling of irritation when she noted that there was going to be yet another person over her. Another person she couldn't snap at without probably getting cuffed at again. Aslisk couldn't fess up the energy to feel angry. Inconvenienced, maybe. There was talk about the gods of the group, gods that Aslisk would say she was.. mildly curious about. Not full blown inquisitive, no, but the slightest intrigued about how worship worked here. It was not as if she worshiped her own god often, or in public (or at all, if she really were to be honest with herself). It wasn't important. Hunting, technically, sufficed as enough worship. It was causing death to something, and that met the requirement. Her lanky tail raised a little from where it had been sprawled out on the ground behind her. "Congratulations," was the sole word to part from the wyvern's jaws upon the spiel from the Harbringer coming to a close. There was no fiery temper behind the word, slowly curling past her teeth in a way that finally did not sound as if she was trying to kill someone with her words alone. Aslisk couldn't muster the energy for such a thing - she could barely muster enough to continue standing there, listening, and remaining somewhat a decent posture in spite of her injuries. Her tongue flicked, a soft grumble sounding while her head turned. She wasn't in any shape to volunteer to go anywhere, and the wyvern decided that her offer likely would be denied on the grounds of her 'fiery temper'. Aslisk supposed such was right. She probably would wind up snapping and saying something wrong. Diplomatic missions. Those were not for her, she knew well.

ive always had to get my hands dirty, a patrol to make sure no one hurts me

Hmm, it thankfully did not seem like there would be any disputes over who had been or hasn't been promoted, beyond maybe a bit of annoyance from Aslisk – although far less than he had been expecting, if he was being honest. He dipped his head to those that had said thank you, as well as Aslisk. He was honestly pretty surprised she was even here, considering the extent of the injuries she had gotten recently from attempting to fireproof herself – he honestly kind of wished she hadn't come over, since she definitely needed some fucking rest. He took mental note of those that had shown up, and those that had decided not to volunteer for the diplomatic mission. Roman was probably right about the whole raid thing, and Vinny gave him a nod of acknowledgement, mumbling softly, "That's fine, Roman. Y'probably right." He also wasn't surprised by Aslisk not volunteering, not only because of her injuries, but because she didn't seem the type to go and interact peacefully with the other groups. Looking between D and Breena, the hybrid dipped his head and said softly, "'Course y'can go, D. I trust ya t'make us look good. How's about you go ta Elysium, 'n' Breena, you go to Tanglewood? I can cover The Typhoon, or maybe I'll get Kilius ta do it, since he's got a dual alliance there anyways." That seemed to cover all their bases, not mentioning the fact that Vox was planning on going to the Pitt to see Auggie soon, and would probably have to deal with them too anyways. Moving down from the front steps of the Town Hall, Vinny said firmly, "If all that's resolved, this meeting's dismisses f'today. See y'all again in a few weeks." He would, of course, see them before that, but he probably wouldn't have a meeting foe at least a couple of weeks, unless something majorly urgent came up.
