HUSH SOUND
"Link... it's time to wake up."
Lately, Hush had begun to have some rather strange dreams. They reminded somewhat of his past life as Link, running through the wilds, finding the sacred beasts, and just surviving on his own, but they seemed more... foggy. Out of focus. He could hear faint, almost maddening giggles in some of them, and visions of fur and a roaring howl in his ears. Whenever he woke up, he always ended up forgetting the majority of the dream, left with only a lingering sense of confusion and a bit of a far off stare in his eyes – that was, of course, until he ran into one of his fellow pirates, and everything snapped back into reality again. The dreams had been coming more and more frequently as of late, but it wasn't as if they were truly nightmares, so they didn't unsettle him or make him lose sleep, they simply just... existed in the background, as something he thought of while he was taking up guard outside the tavern or out on a solo hunting patrol. He'd even had a couple of instances where he was hanging out with Kilius and the other would tease him about zoning out, asking what he was thinking of. The Hero of the Wild would often just shrug it off, making something up so that Kili wouldn't worry. He wasn't sure why he thought the other would worry if he did tell him the truth, but for some reason it just felt so odd and personal that Hush felt he needed to keep the information close, even from his boyfriend.

Tonight was yet another one of those nights where he had one of his strange dreams, but this time it was much more vivid, the area he was standing in painted in broad strokes of lush greens against a sky cluttered with dark clouds. The feline glanced wearily from side to side, before realizing with a start that there was someone in front of him – a wolf, with a strange little imp creature riding on the large canine's back. Hush felt himself staring for a moment before the imp let out a shrill little giggle, patting the wolf on the back as she spoke, "Awww, he looks just as confused as you when we first met. Seems a little bit younger than you too... you sure he's got your spirit?" The imp glanced down at the wolf with a grin, and the canine let out a grunt, dipping his head in confirmation. Hush felt even more confusion come over him, and he stepped forward, his hoarse voice saying in an almost ghost of a whisper, "Excuse me, wh-wha..." He was interrupted, however, by the imp laughing once more, leaping from the strangely colored wolf's back to stand in front of him, inspecting him for a moment before patting him on the head, "You're a little one, ain't ya...? Well, alright, I suppose we'll help you out. You better remember us though! Just remember: Midna doesn't like those who are ungrateful!" She then placed a hand against Hush's chest, and suddenly he was being shoved backwards, a startled noise leaving him as the world around him spiraled into darkness.

The usually mute male found himself gasping for air as he woke up from the strange dream, his head spinning in confusion as he took in the room around him, confirming that it was just his room on the ship. However, it seemed... different. Smaller, somehow. He felt even more perplexed for a moment, before he looked down at his paws, startled to see that they were a dark ashy brown color, and had more canine claws than feline ones. Stumbling up to his feet, the now wolf felt his ears pin down against his head as he looked around, freezing up when he saw... well, himself. Rather, his old body, that is. His golden feline body was still curled up in his little bed, looking almost like it was asleep, when really it was collapsed, devoid of his spirit. Hush stared for a long moment, trying not to panic, before he pushed his way outside, rushing off of the ship and towards the shore. Once he reached the edge of the sandy beach, he looked down into the water, startled to see what a massive change had happened with the new body he had possessed. No longer was he a tiny apprentice sized cat. He was instead a full sized wolf, with ashy grey brown fur and areas of creamy white that formed into a strange pattern on his forehead, shaggy fur running down his back. His eyes were still a vivid bright blue, and he even retained his blue earrings, but everything else was completely different, and he found himself just gawking at the water, struggling to process what had happened during his dreaming.

( for reference, hush's new body looks like this )

Re: I DON'T MEAN TO HESITATE ☆ new form - MERGED - 11-14-2019

[align=center][div style="text-align:justify;width:55%;font-family:verdana"]all poor kili wanted to do was see his boyfriend. thats all he wanted after the long trek back to the ship from the halls, his leg aching and his flame slowly fizzling against his face, oddly low for one that never went out. he was just tired, so an unfamiliar scent coming from the room didn't make him feel much better. his ears pinned back, bonking his head on the door softly. "hush? you in there? why do i.. smell a dog?" he asked slowly, tilting his head slightly to the side.

me, physically incapable of writing more then a paragraph

<the fiercest storm only hardened my resolve>
It could be considered ironic, perhaps, that the pterosaur was coming and zipping over. Not for any particular reason, Tanteri supposed that if he was asked his reasoning was because of the aftermath of the raid that had happened. The pteranodon knew that it had been a while, yes, and that he hadn't exactly inquired into anyone's health. Yes, that was his excuse - he came up with it right as he landed and came trotting over. His blue eyes stared at the flame that was present (and the person, too, for his interactions with this fellow had been only a singular instance prior) before then huffing. "That's not gonna wake him up if he's asleep," Tanteri shrieked once he came to a halt.

His head pulled back, and then he rapidly tapped his beak against the door. It was like the noise of a woodpecker - and in truth the motion was near identical. "There. Now if he's asleep, he's awake. Probably." The pteranodon's wings shrugged, an awkward motion that made his wings spread and roll and twist to compensate and not throw him off balance. Then Tanteri stepped back, beak clicking once, then rubbing the end as if it was sore. Drilling into a door when the only piercing his beak was meant for was the surface tension of water was.. painful, yes. He squawked quieter, long tail flicking behind him. "What even is a dog?" The ancient piscivore then inquired after a long, lapsed moment. Of course he didn't know the species name. His mind still clung to the fact that this was just a very strange place, and that if he left everything would be the same as it had been before his arrival. His knowledge of mammals was next to none, and therefore his enquiry, to him, made sense.

HUSH SOUND
"Link... it's time to wake up."
Hush was still staring down at his reflection as Kilius and Tanteri moved past, and his head eventually lifted when he realized his boyfriend's scent had passed, an anxious feeling coming over him. He hadn't even thought about how Kili would react to finding his currently collapsed body, and he was silently glad that he had closed the door before leaving, or he was sure he'd be hearing the other canine screaming bloody murder. Turning around, the wolf padded back onto the ship, hesitating for a moment before moving over to Tanteri and Kilius, clearing his throat before mumbling softly, "G-Guys? Uh, it's Hush. Something kinda weird happened..." He doubted Kilius would be able to tell the difference until he actually decided to touch Hush, since the voice that left the wolf's form was still distinctly hoarse and Hush-like, something he was very glad for, because if not, he wasn't sure he would be able to prove that he actually was who he said he was. Sure, he could talk about things only he would know, but it would overall be more complicated than just having his voice come out of this body right now, and he didn't particularly want to have a big long complicated questioning right now, especially since he wasn't entirely sure how to answer any questions that were flung at him.

The canine glanced between Kilius and Tanteri for a moment before he continued, shifting his paws a bit and sitting down, feeling oddly awkward and too large in this new form, "The... the reason you smell dog is because I have a new body. I'm, uh, I'm a wolf now. Before you ask, I don't know how it happened. I went to sleep in my cat body, and all of a sudden I just... woke up like this. My other body is still around, but... well... it's like it's asleep." He didn't particularly want to open the door to let Kilius smell or touch his feline body, since he was sure it was limp and felt cold, seeming almost dead without his spirit inside of it. Hopefully Kilius would just roll with it and be more interested in inspecting his new body rather than being worried about his old one. Glancing over at Tanteri, Hush made a soft noise from the back of his throat and shrugged a little, gesturing with a paw at himself at the dinosaur's question. Sure, technically he was a wolf rather than just your average garden variety dog, but... well, how the hell was he supposed to explain what a dog was? He figured that everybody just knew what a dog was.
