Gluttony is my Favorite Sin - Olalla - 11-08-2019

- ♔ - Paws carried him where they willed, and he did well to follow as he found himself traveling south and west, south and west. Every morning the sunlight bathed the beast in sheets of amber warmth, easing him from empty sleeps and dreams alike. As ambitious as Olalla was, he also found a sort of hollow pride in treading through all sorts of terrain. As though, by merely passing through, he were laying some sort of half-assed claimed itself. A shell of his former self.
But for now he made his way to the decadent forests, brimming with life and early morning glory.

- ♔ - Silently he would assess the terrain, finding it rich in life, but the aura of its life could not mesh with his own. As much as he could acknowledge the importance of having a sustainable food supply and a healthy territory, there was also that terrible nagging deep inside - anything less than theatrical and intriguing would not settle. So Olalla would find himself mingling through the woods, debris shifting under each step as the soothing ambiance around him fell upon long ears. There was nothing here for him other than meat to fill and empty stomach and the peeking sun to warm his flesh; nothing more than a tool to fulfill his needs.

- ♔ - A fledgling robin stumbled down a winding tree as it attempted to follow its parents, weak and half-feathered wings flapping uselessly. The warning calls of its parents echoed above the beast, whose darkened gaze zoned in and focused on the easy prey. Before the fumbling chick could even make it to the ground, massive jaws lurched out and snapped shut with a sickening crunch. High-pitched screeches from the robins above rang in his ears, but their fury was naught to the wolf. His black tongue lapped and wrapped around the bite of flesh as he forced it down his throat in a messy swallow.

- ♔ - With a nonchalance that perhaps mocked the youth's death, Olalla continued to weave between the trees, ignoring the birds as they fluttered and dove against his. Wickedly-flapping wings and pecking beaks doing nothing but irritate the predator. After a minute or two of his unintentional followers, the beast would swing about and, with bared fangs and a deep, impatient grumbling, snapped his fangs once more, this time at the mortified parents. With terrified squawks they fluttered and fled, perching from afar to continue their verbal assaults. He fancied birds, more or less the big ones. But when it came to small woodland bird; they annoyed him very much so.

[align=center][div style="bgcolor= black; width: 500px; font-family: georgia;font-size:12px;text-align:justify"]It had been a long time since Moth had been out of the territory of Tanglewood, the last time being to take an impromptu adventure to the Typhoon, and although she hadn't any issues with it there, she had been afraid to go back out, ever since she had been attacked by Trojan, she had kept to herself in her own group, where she wouldn't have to worry too much about being attacked somewhere. Of course, she had been attacked by the border in Tanglewood, but now-a-days she simply stayed away from the border unless she knew someone was there, especially with her small size.

Today was an exception though. She had decided to go out of her way to leave the territory of Tanglewood and go on a search for different herbs, in the hopes that there were some out here that they didn't already have - which was likely, she believed the only ones they had at home were ones that could be found in the dense swamp as well as a few of the odd ones that they had been gifted long ago and simply planted to keep up to date on them - but there was probably still more they could use, especially with the big raid on the Pitt happening, and the winter coming so soon after. She wished that there could have been a different time they did this, but she couldn't put a hold on things the Pitt did, and they likely did things when it was winter for others just to harden the other group's forces in an attempt to make them weaker. She didn't like the idea, but she'd have to live with it.

Moth had been wandering for a while when she heard the snap of jaws, and the squabbling of birds. Ears pricked and jaw opened to take in the sounds and the scents around her, in an attempt to pinpoint where, exactly, all of this was coming from, until the slightly familiar scent of someone washed over her. She didn't remember where the scent had come from - there had been too many as of late - but they didn't smell of any of the groups. Pushing forward, the orange striped feline would follow the scent until she came upon the other, and ears pricked once more. She hadn't expected to run into the wolf any time soon, especially since after last time they had met, Olalla had seemed to want to go off on their own and forge their own group.

"Hello?" Moth would speak at first, taking a step into the open, but ready to bolt if she needed to, just in case this wasn't the wolf she thought it was. "You're Olalla, right?" She knew she looked different than the last time they met, and knew that, if anything Olalla would likely only recognize the scent of Tanglewood, but due to her sudden cat form instead of the leopard she had been, it'd be likely that they didn't remember her name.

- ♔ -Olalla should have expected the horrible, warbling racket to attract attention, yet some part of him was still surprised to see someone else approaching. And not just anyone else, someone... oddly familiar.
This young one bore too many similarities in appearance of a being in Tanglewood he had met a while back but Olalla could never be sure, he licked his crimson laced lips to shake off the suspicions. But he stood unphased, still focused on the warmth in his guts from the recent kill. Well, as much as that tiny bite could be considered a kill. The beast stopped, he glanced at the two feathered rats above to make sure they wouldnt try to dive-bomb him again. He gave one last snarl at the birds. Little effect.

- ♔ -But his curiosity was peaked, nonetheless.
Dim yellow eyes locked on the creature, following her attentively.
A moment's silence would fill the air - save for the incessant bickering from the two robins - as he contemplated his actions. His thoughts. His words. With an audible and a head bob for the greetings. With an intense breath in, the beast would shrug, wearing a cloak of thick indifference, "Yes ma'am. You must be?" His tongue lazily swiped over his lips; his nose, collecting the rogue remnants of crimson youthful robin blood, "if you were wondering about the birds, it's their chick that's making 'em scream and screech.." Or, more specifically, the death of their chick. But these were petty details.

- ♔ -Rolling his shoulders, Olalla faced this creature squarely, this time not bothering to hide as he sized it up. Studied her "Whats a Tanglewood doing out here in," he would say this next part in a weird geekie voice. "No- Man's Land." If anyone had joined his band, he would have been more direct. But with no one at his side he had to throw coyness into situations, especially peculiar ones like these. A short grin spread on that wicked maw, trying to find its place, trying to reclaim its domain, as he held her gaze. "Please excuse my rudeness and unmannerly lunch behavior."

- ♔ -What brings you, oh familiar-looking one, so far from where I think you're supposed to be?
Or was crazed beast just connecting dots that did not exist...?

[align=center][div style="bgcolor= black; width: 500px; font-family: georgia;font-size:12px;text-align:justify"]By the words that the other spoke, she knew that it was Olalla, and she knew that he seemed different than the last time she had met him, though she couldn't tell how, and wasn't sure if it was a good change or a bad change. It was simply a change. When he finally answered her question, she would simply sit, "Moth," She would answer, still on the edge slightly, just in case, though trying to make herself look unafraid of the big wolf. She couldn't help but be afraid simply due to their size difference though. "We met in Tanglewood a while ago..." She'd trail off and listened to the other words he spoke, waiting for an opening before answering.

"I'm just out here looking for herbs, in case we need some more." She would speak, watching the male as he grinned, an uneasy grin that she didn't quite like. "There's a big battle going on right now, all of the groups are involved, so I'm getting stuff to make sure if there's others that are hurt they can heal quicker." Of course, she didn't know just how bad the wounds would get - or how bad they were getting right now - since she wasn't there, but she could only hope that her own friends and family wouldn't get hurt too bad.

Looking over to Olalla for a second, she would open her maw once more. "I see that this part of the territories wasn't really effected at all by it, I don't think word got out this far." If word had gotten out, it would have been interesting. She was sure there were some here that would have simply gone into the battle just to fight whoever they wanted, but she also knew there were some that would help fight along with the good guys. She had met one or two of the good ones before without knowing it. "What're you doing out here Olalla? I would have thought you'd found a place to bunker down by now, unless this is it? I didn't mean to intrude if it is."

[OOC: Sorry this is a little short, i was a tad bit busy]

- ♔ - Seconds passed as he was testing her name; letting drip from his tongue, Olalla looked like a light bulb had went off, better yet exploded in his brain as he remembered . A tsunami of embarrassment had washed over him, the wave wasn't cleansing to the beast. Yet he was oddly relieved to see a familiar face, but last time they had met she was a feline but not one as small this. "Nice to meet you again Moth," the beast said. Olalla tried to listen in as her voice grew soft. "My sincerest apologies for our last encounter." His grin spread wider; teeth protruding out of his black and pink mouth.

- ♔ - Olalla watched as the feline spoke, he didnt mean for her to feel uncomfortable but from past encounters with others, his being brought an uncomfortable 'vibe'. "Battle? What are those birdbrains fighting over now?" the beast didnt want that to sound like an insult, he actually envied the pack creatures. Some say that violence cant and wont solve everything, but if that were true The Pitt wouldnt be a feared pack; Tanglewood wouldnt have champion like fighters; The Typhoon wouldnt be well respected. "Stuff, as in herbs? Well miss Moth, i may not be a healer or a professional but if you'd like i could help you look around for some."

- ♔ - The beast nodded in a agreement, not much news reached these land. Infact he had no idea there was even a battle occurring, Olalla snickered at his words a few sentences ago. "If word got out then only the birds got wind of it," he glanced up at the two robins. Their expression of fear still plastered to their faces. "They've been trying to get back what was once theirs, but its now my gut's." She asked him a few questions, his chest tightened and his eyes grew pale. He hadn't thought out his words this far into the conversation. "Im just wandering around; was looking for my next meal. The youthful feathered rat wasn't exactly fulfilling," he huffed. "No ma'am, my territory is a little more east from here. Even if you were intruding, i wouldn't have minded. Actually i wouldn't have recognized you."
