[align=center]— breena | halls of hiraeth rouge | druid —
A quiet face lingered in the back of halting crowd.  Dark, curious eyes constantly on the move.  Too keenly aware of how many bodies were close to her.  The myriad of voices hushed around her as the strange hybrid they followed began to speak, his words reaching out across the crowd.

A welcome.  Breena felt as though she stood on the cusp of something.  A new dawn.  The first chapter.  The first page.  The beginning.  Was it dread or excitement thrumming through her veins?  Or some sort of mix in between?  Would she belong here?  Truly?  Was it a matter of simply trying to?

Long claws dug restlessly in the dirt, eyes flashing upwards.  Her little round ears remained attentive, even as her gaze seemed to float over the overgrown buildings rather than focus on Redvox.  As they studied the power of nature, the druid hummed under her breath.  An old, soothing tune she'd forgotten the words of.

Perhaps her mind had began to wander... Stuttering to a stop upon the realization she may have missed something Redvox said.  Templars... Rouges... Promotions...?  Right.  Yes.  Yes, of course.  Some of that made sense... Though Breena lacked the understanding of common group hierarchy.

As the Harbringer finished his welcome, Breena scooted backwards towards the edges of the crowd, which was likely to disperse soon.  She didn't want to be caught in all the flux of different faces moving in different directions, off to follow Redvox's first directions.  Settle in.

The youthful badger simply remained where she sat, still staring up at the old town hall, tracing the vines that crept along the building with her eyes.

Re: AND THIS IS NOT THE END ☆ hoh founding - fulzanin - 11-03-2019

Sheer curiosity had prompted for Aslisk to follow. Curiosity as to why a sudden surplus of people had gathered their things, then gathered themselves. She'd never actually traveled in a group before, either. It usually was her or one or two other people. Not a gargantuan party searching for a new home. It had even taken the wyvern a few hours to realize the actual purpose of the sudden movement. Aslisk simply said that she'd been too distracted to fully realize the purpose of the trip. It was fine. This was fine. She could put up with moving, and getting away from a lifestyle that reflected her childhood. Yes, the wyvern had said that it reminded her of home. That didn't mean that she liked home. No. She still felt twinges of disgust for her upbringing as an experiment, of false promises and the ranks that could be only be earned by leaving your claws or teeth in someone until their life left their eyes. Of how her first friend used her, just as everyone else in that wretched place would. Leaving such a place? It brought a feeling of relief that she hadn't fully felt in a long time.

Aslisk's spiky tail slowly swung back and forth behind her while she heard the other speak. She didn't like how she felt respect towards him. She hardly knew him. Yet he reminded her of people that were close to her, and so she couldn't deny the barest twinges of.. not-animosity that she held for him. No, no, it couldn't be respect. She respected absolutely no one! Spare her wife and kids, no one was allowed to see her more pleasant side. Aslisk couldn't banish the feelings of familiarity. Appearance reminded her of a friend, and the personality another. She couldn't just ignore them, she couldn't force herself to shove down the feeling of disdain that she had left both of them without so much as a word of warning. Now she was here, and the similarities were terrifyingly present. But this was without her violent history in the way. She wouldn't dare to let her past repeat itself. Yet here she was, leaving a place that was like her birthplace, and feeling that same feeling of relief. Aslisk supposed that if history did repeat that she already had the knowledge to ensure that the complete clusterfuck of the rest of her life would not, in fact, make it's return. Wasn't this a good step towards making sure such a thing didn't happen? Instead of being kicked out, she was leaving of her own will? The wyvern softly huffed - it would have to do.

Her tongue pressed against her teeth as the speech came to a close. She rocked back on her feet, aiding to the look of milling amongst the crowd. So Redvox would take the reigns of leader. Aslisk supposed such was fair. He'd been the one to lead them here and promote such a thing. In addition, he was setting up the entire system of the place. Fair. It was fair to her, and she would not complain or fight against things that she deemed fair. She wasn't that stubborn, surely. The wyvern rolled her shoulders, moving her feet. The overgrown plants reminded her of more pleasant places, places that she liked a lot more than her birthplace and The Pitt. Yes, she could like it here. It wasn't as if she couldn't just leave if she didn't. Right? No one could tell her what to do - not in her mind. It was mere mutual benefit to not disrespect authority that allowed for her to not butt heads with those higher in power. Getting in trouble wasn't worth it, and so the wyvern would not do such a things. On purpose, of course. Her mind turned to more important topics, clicking her tongue, trying to eye somewhere that she could stay. All this traveling had exhausted her, and gave her a reason to continue to move and shuffle on her feet.

ive always had to get my hands dirty, a patrol to make sure no one hurts me

the halls had still been taken care of with the few faithful that remained. there weren't many left after the departure of their harbinger, fleeing from the thought of being left unled or misplaced. for those that stayed, placing their faith in their pantheon to protect them after the devastation.

and they had. clearly, as cottontail still stood tall in their cloaks and legs wraps. the sigil of sachin's pendant worn proudly around their neck. the fisher stood tall as they scented strangers first, then slowly mingled in with... that's interesting. the rogue crept up onto a perch from the town hall, seeing an all too familiar figure address a crowd below. the fisher pulled down their hood, revealing their narrow, weaselly face.

"redvox?!" they called down, expression unsure but also shocked. there really wasn't many bat/goat things out there. it had to be him, right?

"redvox! redvox has returned!" the follower chanted, climbing down from their perch and dashing to the old harbinger. they came from beside him, looking out at all the new faces. "who are these people? is that where you went; to spread out? recruit?"

their heart jumped for joy as the harbinger spoke, nodding at every single word. the fiery flames were no match for the weasel, their mother had said. when redvox had saved them from it, their mother had explained how fast their recovery was even after he had left. the only thing remaining from that day was the permanent lack of fur at the tip of their tail, which never seemed to bother them until the cold months came.

cottontail jumped, excited to hear he was coming back for good. "yes! we've been keeping it put together since you left. not all of the damage from the fire has been completely repaired, but we were still able to regain most of what was lost. some of the followers left after you did, but mother kept the rest of us safe and comfortable until you came back." cottontail's voice held an upbeat tone, clearly expecting for redvox to return some day.

"oh! we're going to have so many follower rituals to prepare for..." once again their gaze looked out to the unfamiliar faces, but they made no hesitation to step out and say hello and introduce themself.
