popcorn [★] BON BON - Tena M. - 10-02-2019 [div style="width: 527px; line-height: 1.4; text-align: justify; font-family: constantia; font-size: 11px;"]Tena Moonspinner —
The greenhouse presented itself rather overgrown at times. The myriad of plants often overwhelmed the desert-originating feline. She could hardly name half of them. Luckily, her vibrant blue eyes locked onto something tall and intriguing. Corn. The petite Demdji quickly but carefully retrieved a few stalks, brows creased in thought. Her greatest talents in the kitchen remained preparing drinks. Teas, specifically, and her family brew of Tzai. Every attempt at something else never... Ended well, exactly. She supposed in the end, Ebra simply presided as the family cook. So long as their mother wasn't in competition... A soft frown nearly overtook her features. A hollowness she couldn't quite escape in her chest. Squaring her shoulders, she returned to the matter at hand, gritting her teeth. In an almost organized fashion, she dropped the corn stalks in a small woven basket and headed out of the greenhouse. Across the beach she trotted back into the sea town. As autumn rolled in full, she grew more commonly seen below the mountain, wary of potential snowstorms. Contrary what many often believed, Tena could handle the cold quite well. Desert nights well made up for the blistering heat of the sun during the day. She simply remained utterly baffled by frozen water and wary of finding the caves blocked by the stuff one of these days. Her time in Snowbound clearly did nothing to remedy her curiosity of snow. Oh well. Close to the town center, the young Magna found herself setting a quick fire. A mini-bonfire of sorts. According to word, she needed to heat the corn... After precuring a pot that could hang the food over the fire, she removed the corn from the stalks. Here goes nothing. She dropped the corn into the pot and waited. Soon, her tail began twitching behind her, brows seemingly permanently etched into thought. Then small, explosive sounds like something popping split the air. "Hey it worked!" She exclaimed to herself, eyes gleaming with her delight at discovering something successful food-wise. larkspurkit's best abilities were naps, consuming things that shouldn't be, and causing messes. nothing out of the ordinary for a three month old, right? on multiple occasions lark had bounced around a bit too rambunctiously, spilling over tools across the floor. hearing stark sigh in frustration was a daily occurrence at this point, and it would be strange if the malamute hadn't at least once in a day.

while he had absolutely no interest in greenhouses or plant upkeeping, his bout of exploration had led him with tena. at three months she was still bigger than him, but only for a short amount of time. once he reached eight months he would be twice her size no doubt. the kitten looked up to her, covering his ears as the popping rattled his head. the sound held no taste, but the color orange kept appearing to him. he hated the color orange. © MADI
