AN EYE FOR AN EYE |{OPEN, JOINING} - Sorrel - 05-02-2018

He was so close. He was almost there. Kurapika didn't care how long it was going to take him to accomplish his goal either. He just had to accomplish his goal and that was all that there was needed for him to do. It didn't matter to him as long as he got the revenge that he was seeking. He knew that the powers he had were because of the limit that he had put onto himself. To avenge all those that were killed when he was young. They didn't deserve to die, and yet they were all murdered just because of the way that their eyes ended up looking. The brilliant scarlet that was sought out for treasure seekers of the tribe that he had lived with. He had gone out on a hunting trip, having been allowed to leave the main area that they lived in, and because of that, he hadn't been in camp when everything was practically burned down to the ground. What should he have done? What could he have done? The hatred from that moment had boiled up to its breaking point, but now he was strong enough to take on most creatures that got in the way of his goal. No, he was looking to try and take out the groups that were around here, instead, he was looking to take out of a certain someone. A group that had been responsible for killing his friends and family were almost completely eradicated except for one.

He had heard rumors of the female living somewhere in these areas, whether or not she was living in the place where he was going now he wasn't certain, but he would gather all the information that he could. At this point, he was like that of a bounty hunter, searching for his form of justice, even if other's for some reason tried to stop here. He wasn't here to make friends. He was here to get a job done, even if it meant sacrificing his own life to do it. He was indeed self-destructive, but his hatred blinded almost every part of his logical mind. He was consumed by it. There was no longer anything that could be done to quell the inner rage that he was feeling constantly. He was so CLOSE. Just a little bit farther. Just thinking about those that were slaughtered made blossom in his chest. The only way to get rid of that pain was to get rid of those that had caused that pain and he would finally be free. Right now though, he was going to have to control his thoughts before his eyes did end up changing color. Which had been the reason his people had been hunted because during that time for animals to change their eye color was indeed a unique trait for them to have.

Kurapika was walking through the forest of the outskirt of this 'clan'. He knew what clans were of course, as he wasn't going to go in blind without having some sort of plan. This place was called the Ascendants, and seemed like an ample place to station himself while he dug for more information on his target. The king cheetah was basically fully grown, although he still had a couple years left before he reached his full height. The sound of chains rattling could be heard with each step that he took toward the border. There were four chains that weaved their way up his right arm, the ends of the chains tied to each of his four toes. His grey eyes were calculative as he stopped at the border, distinguishing the scent that was telling him to stop. He flicked one of his spotted ears before sitting himself down. His fairly long tail curled around his paw, and his chained paw as he wondered how long it would take for someone to notice him. "My name is Kurapika. I'm here to join." The Kurta stated with confidence, but there was no emotion that was displayed on his face when he did speak. Now he just had to wait. He had enough patience so far, just a little bit longer wouldn't kill him.

Re: AN EYE FOR AN EYE |{OPEN, JOINING} - Margaery - 05-02-2018

The borders had become Margaery's nearest and dearest friend, providing her with something to do when boredom ensnared her in its tendrils. Her newfound fascination with them also made it easier for her to come and go as she pleased, especially when she needed to hunt. Obviously potential joiners and her clanmates were not on the menu so it was up to her to travel as far as possible and kill those whom she had deemed to be awful, wicked beings deserving of death. It was hypocritical, she had mused more than once, that she was playing god, deeming who lived and who died so she could complete a sin on her own. Funny how life, at least her life, worked like that.

Her constant patrols offered her some refuge away from Suiteheart as well. Her wife was now a bear and the last thing that Margaery wanted to do was get close to the potentially volatile beast. She had been killed once by such a thing... she could not handle the thought of that happening again.

On that day in particular, she was situated in a tree that overlooked a border, paws tucked under her resting form as she waited. She only felt anticipation as she stared down upon the ground, desperately trying to shake the unsettling emotion as the sun rose higher and higher in the sky. It wasn't until she had what sounded like chains rattling that she stood abruptly, the branch shaking under her new distribution of weight.

A voice and a figure soon accompanied the sound and she, being the closest, quickly snaked her way down and towards the source. [color=#b14767]"Hello," She offered, trying her best to honey her words but failing. She was tired and so much tragedy had occurred in the last few days- she didn't have it in her. [color=#b14767]"My name is Margaery Mikaelson and you're free to join," there was a pause before she offered, [color=#b14767]"Will you be in need of a tour?"

[align=center][div style=" background-color: transparent; border: 0px solid black; width: 530px; min-height: 9px; font-family:; line-height: 110%; text-align: justify; padding: 20px"]Lions and tigers and bears.

Well, almost. This newcomer was a cheetah, not a lion. It was a little different, but for the sake of a joke, Suiteheart would allow this. It wasn't even a good joke - or a joke at all. It was just something ridiculous that had popped into her head; a momentary lapse of critical thinking. It was nice as it was a relief from the turmoil of her thoughts.

The large bear lumbered forward, halting at Eternalwar's side. This was amusing to her as well, for she used to be smaller than Etty. Oh, how the tables had turned. "Welcome to the Ascendants. The name's Suiteheart, but Suite works just fine."

As she spoke, she cast a glance in Margaery's direction. She could feel the worry and anger and confusion rolling off her wife in waves thanks to their bond. It pained her. She wanted Margaery to be happy, but that was impossible in this state. Resisting digging her claws into the earth, the polar bear simply gently fell into a seated position.
