— Obedient with Bones, but still spirited. May suddenly have "fuck you" moments, or something like that. Will bite back even if he knows it's going to be bad for him.
— Sometimes it's hard to tell that he belongs to anyone, in the sense that he's as independent as he can be and still has a vibrant personality. It can often be muted and quiet, since I do think he shuts down sometimes, but it's still there.
— Very very strangely attached to Bones at this point. Tells himself that if he could safely kill Bones, he would. May or may not be lying to himself, nobody knows.
— Perceptive and empathetic. Pays close attention to even the smallest signs that could tell him what someone is thinking or feeling because his life may literally depend on recognizing and soothing some emotions or urges.

He says it over and over again like some kind of prayer, a reminder. Those who haven't given up haven't tried. They haven't done enough. It's not his fault he met his match too soon, pressed and shoved against a wall that wouldn't budge, bared his teeth at stone. It's not his fault, but it's the reason behind how he sees the world now, in shades of dull grey envy. Every feeling is tired — so damn tired.
— Also: Theo's kids using him as a pillow. Him laying on his stomach and a child sprawled out across his back. Theo finding random things in his shoes because his kids think it's funny to put stuff there, or finding Tybalt drawn on in blue marker.

— Bambi, Strawberry, Sunshine, Peanut, Cupid. I feel like nicknames were common in his friend circle, so there would have been a lot of ones that didn't really mean anything to him, but I feel like the first two were personal for some reason. IDK why.
Two ideas:
— Meeting someone from his past again.
— A very quiet admission that he knows there's no going back.

Try revamping Winter and see if that helps with his motivation. I dunno what to do about Garrett. Maybe revamp him too. Try and go somewhere with Val, idk. Find a group for Jo, somewhere she can garden.
