Everything in this world had been surprising up until now, and really, Maes doubted anything could shock him at this point. In his opinion, nothing could top humans that could change their appearance whenever they wanted and animals that could talk. But he was unaware of just how much there was left for him to discover. There were things out there that were even more abnormal than multi-colored large cats.

The canine had been out and about, taking a walk in an attempt to work out his tangled thoughts. Everything was so messed up and he wasn't sure what to do. At least his best friend was there to stand at his side. He had never thought he'd see him again, so it was surprising to be reunited with him. Coming back from the dead had been just as surprising for him as it had been for Roy. He had seen death as an end, but now it was almost more like a beginning.

He lifts his gaze, spotting the multiple people gathered up ahead. Curious, he decides to check out what they were looking at, his steps hesitant. He had grown a lot more cautious after dying. His once confident form was reduced to a lesser version of himself, one that was uncertain in a lot of things he did. As he grew closer, he paused abruptly at the scene, his heart jumping up into his throat.

Hughes had read many tales of vampires, watched many films on the beasts of legend that feasted on blood. But never did he ever think he'd encounter one. They weren't real, right? They were just paranormal beings that were made up to scare little kids. But now, as he looked upon Margaery drinking from Bastille's arm, he wasn't so sure.

People just... volunteered to give Margaery their blood? Something stirred inside Suiteheart that was equal parts relief and worry, causing an odd look to paint her face. She wanted Margaery to eat something, yes, but she was not sure if Margy had the ability to control herself just yet. It worried her. Deeply.

But Margaery was her wife. She needed to take care of her. The white feline opened her mouth to offer her name instead of everyone else's, but Bastillepaw was already slicing into his arm. Suite's mouth hung slightly agape at that. Kid was all actions and no words. She respected it, but she couldn't help but worry.

When Margaery's stormy blue eyes shifted into that haunting red color, she knew she had to do something. Thinking quick on her feet, she would try to push Bastillepaw out of the way so that Margery's fangs would sink into her flesh in place of his. She loved that kid, and she did not want to see him hurt if things turned sour... She just hoped her movements were quick enough.

Bastille was a chaotic something, alright. He probably fell somewhere along the lines of good-neutral, but he tended to believe with his batch of souls, it was more likely evil. The only thing that one could be absolutely positive about was the "chaotic" portion. He did put thought into his actions, most of the time, it was simply that his train of logic tended to differ from others -- that, and he had such low regard for his own well-being that "danger" rarely factored into his plans when it came to himself. Others, sure; he could rattle off several considerations for keeping the people he likes safe and how to defend them as best as possible. Really, this situation was an example of both: Bast didn't care about himself; Margy was hungry; he'd rather that no one else be at risk. Low and behold, he was the best choice, by his own logic.

Okay, sure, there were other factors -- he had an extremely high pain tolerance, was not squeamish about the thought of sharing his blood, and had the fighting capability to get away from her if she lost control. Hell, he could teleport the fuck away if he wanted, even. See? He'd thought about it, for about 2 seconds, and then he'd sliced his arm open.

He hadn't really expected for the sudden uncontrollable hunger to erupt in Margy's aura, or for her gaze to go so... crazy, really. He'd expected a more civilized gesture of her daintily sitting next to him and sipping away. Her lunging at him like a maniac? Nah, not in the plans, but he braced himself for impact without much concern about this unexpected act.

He didn't brace himself for Suite's impact, though, and jerked in surprise as she shoved him away, his head snapping up in confusion and vague annoyance before he realized who it was. The bengal straightened himself up with a roll of his eyes, and huffed, "Well, that was a waste of me cutting myself open, then." He wondered idly if it was a possessive thing -- Suite would only let her wife bite her -- but was vaguely weirded out by that for several reasons. It is a delightful experience, Zaniel said suddenly in his thoughts, and he mentally smacked the idiot away with a hard NO. Nope. Gross, dude.

The corporal settled back, eyeing Margy idly, and figured he may as well just stick around to make sure Margy didn't murder Suite instead. That was still somewhat helpful, anyway.

MARGAERY MIKAELSON
The moment that Margaery's teeth met flesh, she began to feed, delirious on the rush that the  blood supplied her. It had been so long since she had feasted upon the essence of another feline and, as twisted of her to say it, had forgotten how satisfying the very taste was. Unless stopped, she would continue to drain her victim until they perished, unaware of the very fact that she could be severely harming one of her clanmates or even her wife.

This was a bad situation, her subconscious had deemed, but without the proper means of putting a stop to it, Margaery would continue to drain the blood out of Suiteheart. In retrospect, she shouldn't have made such a spectacle of her most recent development, instead resigning to silently escaping the Ascendants territory to hunt. Now, she risked killing someone. The little part of her that was still coherent just wished that someone, anyone, would pry her off of her victim.
