Awkward. Well, sort of -- Margy was clearly in a bit of a mood, but Bast was always in a mood, so he didn't really have any room to judge. He could practically feel everyone scrambling to make up for it, though, in similar fashion to how they tried to cover up his poor social feats. His gaze landed on Hazel as she appeared, but he looked away after a moment, choosing instead to focus on the kiddo as she spoke again. Mustering every bit of grace he had possible, Bastille offered an awkward smile and supplied, "Yeah, don't worry about it. Starry will be happy to have you. We can, uh, show you around a bit and find you a room." Gods, he'd just wanted to hurry this horrible exchange along, but he also hated himself immediately for trying to play nice with her. (He actually liked kids, more or less, he just wasn't very... good with them, per se. Not when he was thinking about trying to be nice, that was.)

No one minded joiners. This place was welcoming, and it was a haven to weary travelers. She hoped Xion would find a home here, just like she had.

She laughed at Eternalwar's words, chuckling loudest at the name "Hotel Hell." Damn, that was fucking fitting, wasn't it? She nudged the tigress back, still wearing an amused grin. Man, she really liked Etty. She was fun.
