GUNTHER
aggron - male
There was almost a rhythm to the way the Aggron moved, hauling piece by piece of asphalt out of the way to make room for grave digging. Bodies that were uncovered were either moved as carefully as possible, or piece by piece. Some Pokemon were clutching their trainers. Some parents hugged their children. Some trainers were cradling their Pokemon. All had tried to protect each other. It was both admirable and sad, which brought a sense of respect burning deep in his heart.

Gunther flipped another slab of rubble out of the way with help from his horns. That seemed like enough space for now. They weren't devoting their time to searching for bodies - just burying the ones they came across. The voice of an injured Nox caught his attention, and he looked down at the somewhat mangled Sableye.

With a nod of his head, the dual type took a look around. "Feel free to partake in whatever you're fit to do. If you find you cannot dig for the time being, perhaps you can fashion some gravestones for the completed graves. The fallen deserve that much," he rumbled, gesturing to the large pile of rubble that had steadily built up.

The squabbling in the background only made him want to work harder to drown it out. He hardly noticed the disappearance of Quincey, only looking around when he was about to call to him. Spotting him by Timedancer, who seemed to be requesting his aid, brought him to let it go and resume gravedigging.

ADRIEN
umbreon - male
The enraged Adrien seemed almost dumbfounded when Valentine didn’t get riled up. Her calm, degrading reaction brought a storm of emotions surging within him. He was faltering in front of the Sylveon that was twice his size (or, rather, the average size), as it was obvious that he’d won.

Gaze drifting to the ground, the Umbreon was still when the shiny passed by. The tail flick on his nose, however, flipped the switch again. Whipping around, he was about to spit a wad of Toxic at his stupid ass when Timedancer invited him with them. His nose was scrunched in a snarl. With a toss of his head, he stormed forward to her. ”Fine. Whatever.” Prove this bitch wrong. He’s not a Rattata. Adrien shot a darkened glare in Valentine’s direction.

[align=center][div style="max-width: 420px; line-height:120%; font-family: arial; font-size: 8.5pt; text-align: justify; margin-bottom:5px"]Predictable. Routine, worn beneath the ceaseless course of time as though it proved nought but a stone caught beneath the turbulent waves of an ocean. Within some corner shadowed by the prior events his mind crumbled, broke beneath pressure slow to build, accumulating as the seconds gathering into the structure of minutes. Quiet had he grown, silenced a tongue that had stumbled over the base structure of simplistic words contained in a simple vocabulary, breathing hitching with each breath, the salty tang of tears dancing across his tongue. The weight of what seemed an infinite stretch of time coiled atop the slumped shoulders, brittle the silver covering melting away into the heavy mane of alabaster holding tight the thin line of his throat, hiding the tight clench of his jaw.

Few and far the time between each word he had offered, tone lacking the faint heat of bite masking the tremor of sorrow, fragile the armour he clutched to himself, a life line within a time that proved turbulent. Breath caught behind the cage of teeth, delicate points parting before it pushed forth in a gentle exhale, next taken a gasp sputtering upon its next exit. Paw lifted, so small the tiny thing toned within shadings of silver discoloured by particles of brown lingering between each fine strand, soft the pads no matter the make-shifting cover. Hardened some had they become, split and cracked beneath wear Dakota was unaccustomed to – flickering memory, the softness of a back covered in heavy fluff toned in shadings of orange and yellow, the very paw he lifted pressing into his neck with its brethren, bright the laughter bubbling forth.

“Hungry...” Gentle voice arose amongst the din, swallowed within those lifted to volumes he may never wish to reach, breaking apart with a huff of breath. Twist of features, spill of tears gathering upon the soft point of his chin, patter of them upon paws slow in their progress towards his chest, tucked beneath him. Dejected the small eevee, a bundle of fluff settled amongst the darkly toned rubble, a bright spot fluffed up until he seemed nothing more then a discarded item allowed the chance to bypass time with minimal changes.
