It seemed she had never gotten rid of that little habit. She supposed it was her powers, urging her forward as cloudy eyes caught flaming auras in the distance. She could read each one as easily as words on paper; she could taste their emotions, feel them running through her veins. It was a blessing. It helped her get the information she needed, the information she craved. Today would be no different, she decided, waltzing forward as Agathe arrived.

Wordlessly, the black panther listened to the exchange between leaders, but she almost didn't need to. She had heard this tale before - the elders in the Ascendants spoke of it when she first arrived. She had caught the story in passing before using her powers to tap into their memories of the event. What had transpired was ugly and foolish, but the events of here and now didn't surprise her.

Everyone always came crawling back for forgiveness. Everyone made excuses and tried to explain how they were better people. No one ever owned up to their mistakes - not truly. In her opinion, this was Buckingham trying to clear his conscious. Sybil couldn't understand why.

He had dug his own grave and he ought to lie in it.

"Not all, not all," the soothsayer answered Atticus, allowing her telepathic powers to leech into the minds of all present. He didn't speak for her. She didn't care about this apology. Words meant nothing; actions meant everything. And so far, she was seeing inaction and too many words. "Long journey to the Sun. Best begin," the wildcat's cryptic thoughts were aimed at the Sunhaveners as she curled her lip back.
