Re: TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR // sleepless night *OOC Prompt 11/10* - Grimm - 11-13-2018

[align=center][div style="max-width: 420px; line-height:120%; font-family: arial; font-size: 8.5pt; text-align: justify; margin-bottom:5px"]Quiet the murmur of breath caught upon rose tinted lips, exhale lingering within the space between teeth before within is another drawn, small chest expanding. Again held, seconds ticking past before it too is raising in a slow, drawn out breath. Yet the steady pace, the slow set to each as it works through their system, is not from sleep. Close are they all, warmth touching along their sides where contact is made, distinct the lack of it where once another had laid. It mattered not the quiet way she had disentangled from the mass of flesh toned within various pale shades, shook from her back the tiny wing, departing with an intent the other had marked though could draw no conclusion from.

It had been some time prior another had left, Elijah stumbling amongst them all, the press of a tiny paw along the downy quills of feathers drawing forth a faint squeak though there had been no pain, mere discontent at the jarring action. Flick of tongue touching upon lip, soft murmur of sound escaping upon breath, tap of paw upon the boards of the floor. Strange was the difficulty within sleep, the first touches of it raising about mind pushed towards the brink for minimal was the reserves of energy they were permitted to hold, but something within them fought. Silence overtakes the soft lace of idle thought, murmur of sound grown still, touching upon edge of mind seeking to bring forth the darkness once more.

A scream rose, octave piercing as it found its climax, lingering upon such note for a few short seconds before once more it was drawn down with the need to bring within another breath. Difficult to piece together the broken structure of syllables, mess of sound barely contained in the structure of words.

Lack of grace and tact, no care to the warmth of others, press of bodies about their own small frame. Stumbling about each, dark mass each upon field of velvet shade, quickening the pace of breath as does the heart. Curl of it, dark the mark of claws touching upon the hammer of their heart, found within the complex weaving of strings, plucking it as though it were a cruel conductor seeking to play within a song of anxiety and fear. And such is what is was though they lacked such words to express it, felt within the sinking of stomach, the curled of it until it lurched, clutching at their throat. Tremor to body and so slow was the pace set though still Kaisa moved, door pushed open and allowed to slam shut behind them, no care for the others thoughts set upon only Eli and Stella.

Stumbling and unsure, difficult the trek through trees drawn close together about them, leaning figures cloaked in shade, the rustle of wind about the crown of their leaves laughter, rough and cruel, scraping along their ear drums. It matters not the weakness of sight, the minimal state of it permitting basic their ability to gauge the things around them, caught within the depth of night they are left with nothing. Against rough bark nose is scraped, sharp the hiss drawn from teeth but on they continue, ignoring the copper upon lips, slipping upon tongue and into the back of their throat. A mask almost is it for but seconds, mind believing the growing presence of it is nothing more then a trick, amplification of a minor scrape. All too soon does it reach levels that raise within their mind the clamour of warning, heavy the huff of breath, broken as it rose in a wheeze, want to cough lingering in the back of their throat.

“Eli... Stella...” Unfamiliar the weight of names drawn across tongue, wheeze of it parting beneath a sudden moan, hacking cough torn from heaving chest. Bundle within back of throat, caught in the space and grazing along struggling breath, shuddering each as from the lips it raises, fear clutches them. Second beat is it caught in the hollow behind their heart, quiet the murmur of it raising as it touches the network of fine veins, replacing within the river of blood until it is nothing, dark the void of it. Where once idle thoughts had lingered pace all too quick had found home, worked until they struggled to make sense of each thought, slight the register of warmth upon cheeks. At the line of jaw and chin tears gather, glimmering droplets suspended for mere second before they were falling.

“Bebi please, don't hurt him...” broken glass, fragments caught upon surface of lips left cracked as teeth had touched upon them time and time again, habit formed and left unbroken, difficult the first step after their momentum found a place to stop. Again they step closer, another until uneven was the gait they took, quiet the hiccup breaking through uneven breath, caught on the edge of crackling exhale. Reaching are they, small the paws hovering before them, trying to work between the two. Unsure are they as to their purpose, why it is they move to press a paw to each of their heads and push lightly. Yet gone is their strength, attempt made only for him, the brother so foolish and headstrong, a knight within armour that adorns lightly toned fur – a warlock who found the weight of crown adorning his brow, a child of imagination caught on the precipice, acting upon the beat of impulse. But was such not what they were doing as well, allowing it to work through their system and push them into such action, tear filled eyes finding Luca. “Please, you're... you're scaring me.” Difficult to form the words, to push them forth on quiet breath for though there is truth within so too is there a lie upon its edges.

What is fear to one who felt no such thing, bore no name for the darkness which lingered in the space behind their heart as though they had found a secondary lingering, within the darkness of night working through them until ice was all there was. Nothing but fantasy, make believe touching upon the edge of their mind as from Eli it raises, worming through the heavy heat of anger. It is too much, apparent as body trembles and hiccuping sob works through clenched teeth. They could last like this for only a few seconds longer before darkness would take them, time enough they hoped to see this end, wanting only their father back, the man they loved and held within a good heart no matter his actions.

Re: TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR // sleepless night *OOC Prompt 11/10* - MARCELLUS - 11-13-2018

With the night being cold and brisk Marcellus was able to enjoy a calming night stroll, the rays of moonlight collapsing along his back as his paws guided and carried him through the sand. Though, his short height made it hard for him to move easily. The night drew on peacefully with the guy lost in his thoughts and his head in a totally different place, his eyes wondering along the coastline as little crabs began to disappear into the water with his arrival. Talk about being rude. A low sigh escaped past his jaws as he reflected on his thoughts and then his family. He wasn't sure if he was truly ready to be a father yet and now with them exposed to the outer world, danger lurked at every corner. While he didn't want them to stay cooped up inside Junji's home, he certainly felt differently about then being exposed to everything ugly and hateful about the world they lived in. Due to this, he couldn't help but fret over every little thing they did. Even if they only got as pricked by a thorn, he would probably be the first one to go into intense panic.

With the thought of the children in mind, Marcellus was quick to direct his route towards the jungle in which he would make his way to Junji's house. His feelings about Junji and Luca at the moment were nothing short of complicated, always feeling the same things Luca felt didn't help as well. Clearing these thoughts from his head, Marcel felt as thorns scraped against his body, his jaws tightening as his face furrowed into a wince as he tried to pass by to where there were no more thorns to strike at him. He turned his head over his shoulder to look at his wound and give it a few swift licks before continuing on through the forest. Moments passed until finally the Toyger found himself at Junji's house with the door open a few bits. At first he didn't suspect a thing until he peeked his eyes inside to see that there were paw marks leading to the door where he stood, multiple of them.

"No, no, no, no. NO!" His voice was agonized as every worst possible scenario bounced around in his head and wouldn't shut up. Pain filled his heart and he could feel the fur on his back beginning to bristle. His claws unsheathed as he dug them into the grounds he stood on, trying to make sense of this and what was happening. In and instant the domestic feline turned on his heels and began to make a mad dash back through the jungle, barely acknowledging anything or any sounds around him in his frantic pattern until he felt his body clash with another. His body was instantly thrown back, a groan escaping past his jaws. Soreness soared through it as his eyes trailed up to see the figure of Goldenluxury, a wave of relief crashing over him.

"Goldie." He tried to speak the name but it wouldn't come out and that's when he realized that he was breathing too heavy to speak, his chest tightened to the point he felt like he could barely breathe. "G-Goldie." His voice was shaky though he managed to speak the name ever so lowly and dull. That's when it happened, Elijah's voice cutting through the jungle and him able to make out every word. His eyes widened and in an instant, Marcellus was back to his paws and running towards the scene as best as he could manage in his state.

It didn't take him long to reach the site of what was happening, his widened eyes going from fearful to angry. Though he held no personal qualms with his superior, Caesar, it was now that he would hold one. The Toyger shot forward in an attempt to block the path of his children, aiming to gently push them back away from the fighting forces. Though he wanted to show Caesar a piece of his mind, he was more concerned about the safety of their children. "Are you o-" The words cut short as his gaze landed on Stella's bleeding cheek. In an instant all he could see was black. Pitch black. Turning around, the domestic raised his claws in an attempt to slash them through any place he could manage on Caesar, rage spilling through him as his anger had consumed him.
