"What an ugly child..." The voice was deeper and snarky. Dagon smelled lightly of whiskey- maybe just a sip. This tom's coat was the same tabby brown as dimitri- dusty, mud, but lacked the tabby pattern and Dimitri's white spots. He shared Dimitri's scars, however. The tom's eyes were an empty black, no iris and no highlights. No lights.
There was a possibility that Dagon was a dark reflection of Dimitri, his shadow, perhaps, or the parts Dimitri hated about himself.
There was also discussion among the alters, something none of them wanted to admit, but Dagon's appearance was modeled after Dimitri's father, much how Desdemona looked like his mother.

Dagon had little patience in life. Little care for others outside their system and a pessimist view of this stupid world. "What kind of fucker leaves a baby at the border anyway?"

Maybe they thought something was wrong with it.
