Lup turned to glance at Suite, expression flat and unamused. ”I didn’t accuse her of anything, she took the guilt upon herself. She isn’t the only one who has lost an entire family, but for the record, not abandoning them in the first place will help keep 'em around.” Sure, she was being harsh, but it infuriated her that the two just walked out on Lil and let the poor girl figure everything out on her own. The worst part about it all was that, as far as Lup was aware, Lil was still searching tirelessly for them. Lup knew that she told Lil she’d point Margaery and Suiteheart in her direction should she find them, but she couldn’t hurt Lil like that; having her parents show up under new names and having settled down in a new allegiance would crush her, but at the same time believing that her mothers left in the night without her could be worse...

It only took a moment of thinking — Lup was a quick-witted individual solely out of necessity — before the red cloaked feline came to a conclusion. Lup would send Lil a note explaining the situation and hand control over to her. She’d also put in a request for Lil to write back so Lup would know when she got the letter. If it got to her at all, that is. Letters sent by birds weren’t exactly the most reliable, and now she seemed to be stuck in the form of a predator of birds. Any animal handling skills she had were likely all skewed now, so that would be... interesting to work with. But she’d figure it out; Lup always did.

Turning to Suiteheart, she finally finished her thought from earlier. ”I have lost people I love time and time and time again. I watched my my home planet be consumed by a force that we had no hope of stopping. Don’t tell me about loss as if I have not experienced it. Don’t tell me that sitting here moping is going to do anything about the loss. If someone is missing, go searching. If someone has died, then find a body. Find a spirit. Get confirmation, because we live in a fucked up world where dead doesn’t always mean gone. Do something, do anything, but don't just give up. Giving up will never solve anything, and there is always an answer. You must reject the blind acceptance of impossibility."
