Re: Migration - Tanglewood refugees - rhosmari - 10-25-2018
"Ya need a sense of humor. Ain't no one tryin tae get under ya skin." It was often not that her clanmates looked on the brighter side of life. Making sure to have fun despite the bad things that were going on and that was fine. They joked about things and tried to alleviate the tensions that could be spreading in the room or atmosphere. That was Sunhaven. They were the light in the dark she supposed and she often found herself grateful to have those around her because if it wasn't for them she wouldn't be the best right now herself. Not after that sickness that had ran a rampage through her body after that ghost had attacked her. Who knew what would have happened and she could still feel empty echos in her body from whatever it had been. But she was find now, cured so to speak and she wouldn't look back on those days of sickness. Though weak as she had been she was stronger for it and she allowed herself to think more on Sunhaven now and to be open about things that normally she wouldn't have been. Except for personal things. Her mind began to wander for a moment before she pushed him from her thoughts and the fact that she had declared her feelings in a grip of lingering death. Her massive form came forward with an ease of stride, eyes searching the crowd of Tanglers that had approached the border in the need for finding a home. Vivid green eyes landed on Morgan as he was the leader and she simply gave a light nod of her head before then looking to Leroy. Yes, she remembered the both of them and had actively spoken to Leroy about opening their doors to them should they have need of it. Right now the hellhound was sizing up the group of animals they would have to take in, feed, and shelter. Not too large but still they would all have to carry their work here just like anyone else. "Yeah, we might have ghost problems but they are less severe than what Tanglewood is sufferin. Ya may stay for as long as ya need tae but understand that while ya are living in here in Sunhaven that ya are under my rules and regulations. Ya have tae carry the load just like anyone else here." As far as she knew no one had been actively harmed by the spirits as she had been and so she knew how bad things were right now. Flicking her eyes from the group she allowed her gaze to rest on Axle and then to Leroy before she lifted her tails up and straightened her spine. This was her home and negative behavior didn't sit well with her but she wouldn't speak and just let her stance talk for her on the subject and so instead she turned slightly when the question of where they would be sleeping arose. "Ya all come this way. The village ain't too far from here and ya can rest ya heads in any of the vacant homes that we have." With that she fully turned to show them the way. Though her ears perked up as she listened to Jerseyboy and she turned to look down at the tuxedo feline. A part of her wanted to say something but she did something totally different. Instead of chastising him she aimed to pick the male up by his midsection and carry him back to the village. "SPEECH"

Re: Migration - Tanglewood refugees - toboggan - 10-25-2018 ”Ya need a sense of humour” - a comical statement to make in front of a man whose home and many valuables may very well be destroyed. The vexatious brat that Malphas almost sank his teeth into that one day - yeah, Leroy remembered - had not aided the case either, the childlike taunts emptying another canister of gasoline unto a dying bonfire. But, alas, the hound’s threats must have been made of counterfeit satin, as the single response which ushered out of his irritated maw had been nothing more than an irked puff. Shameful, really. He understood that a huge opportunity for a grand showdown had just been avoided, on account of the fatigue which plagued his mind, and his willingness to not rebel against Marina’s orders; perhaps the mutt was aging, after all.
Ensuing his less-than-sugarcoated prologue came a faintly familiar face, a former Tangler, as you will. Not much could the guardsman recall about this fellow; his tongue wore an irritating accent, that was for sure, and his name fell somewhere along the lines of New Jersey. Jerseykid, Jerseyboy, hell, it would’ve made the most sense if it was Jerseytot, taking his juvenile sense of humour into account. And that aforementioned accent, it was much more fierce than whatever held a grip over Leroy’s patter - with ‘a’s in place of ‘er’s, he perceived it as one of those old flicks starring men with greased-back hair and leather jackets. Of course, the poor chump of a hound was born with the misfortune of not being able to descry screens of any sort, so he’d never truly understand the look this guy was trying to pull off. As Marina approached, a tall canine whom nearly stood doubly as high in comparison to the Tangler, his worn gaze finally made amends with the other’s obnoxious presence, instead directing it in the direction of the Helion. As the Scottish-twanged hellhound declared that those staying would assume the role of a normal Sunhavener, Leroy’s indecisive glance swapped targets yet again, this time to Axle. From past experiences, the wolfhound comprehended that the Ocker teemed with a nasty tendency to end up in odd places, as he had when he was discovered chained to a pole in the deserts of the Pitt. That was quite the tale, actually, of how he single-handedly sprawled into the heart of the stronghold like a madman and recaptured Axle. Surely, if that dunce had an ounce of logic inside of his thick skull, perhaps he wouldn’t be next on the list of Tanglers M.I.A. Personally, he had no adversing thoughts to Marina. He was rather unfazed by her earlier philosophical comment, as bold as it was. It was a poor choice for wording on his part - none of what was being said actually upset him in any way, though he believed it would be the other story once more and more foolish taunts had been made. Timing was just not on his side in this scenario, negativity from recent events clouded his already dogged mentality. He had still yet to recover from Ophelia’s sudden vanishment, an issue made worse once Delilah was captured by those fuckers over in the desert sands. That was two girls in his life lost - the former as a lover, and the latter as a close friend. All that, and now he was being told to vacate the comforts of his home? Sorry, but to some people, that was not a-okay. Sighing once more, Leroy began the cloying hike behind his temporary leader- was that a stifled chortle in reaction to Jerseyboy’s sudden abduction? Ichigo knew about the spirits. As being someone that had to deal with spirits and ghosts every single day of his life he usually knows how some of them acted and why some of them wanted to stay in the world of the living. It was literally his job to relate the spirits that were in this world so that the place wouldn't be overrun with corrupted spirits which could just as well happen while he wasn't watching. The Shinigami didn't want anyone to get hurt by the likes of the spirit, but spirits were also everywhere so he knew that he was going to see them everywhere he went. There was no escaping the aspect of death in the wild, after all, so he was going to find sentient creatures that needed to cross over to the afterlife and he would be the one to help them. It was a hard job, but he had been doing it for almost five years now and had his own methods of dealing with the dead and making sure that they were comfortable to leave. It was dealing with the corrupted spirits that usually followed after regular spirits would end up becoming an issue if he didn't address it. From where he was from, the name for a corrupted spirit was called a Hollow. It names defined exactly what it was, and it devoured souls that it came across in order to make it stronger. Each Hollow was different and was almost completely invisible to the naked eye. Unless of course one had clairvoyance and had the power to sense the creatures when they were coming around. His sword was specialized to destroy the likes of a corrupted spirit and purify their spirit in the end so that they could cross over into the afterlife. Ichigo had only been in the clans for a couple days now and had a lot of information to absorb. So much information that the Shinigami hadn't bothered to try and get any sleep since he had arrived, as he had a lot of work to do. Seeing this many spirits at once and everyone didn't make all that much sense to the Shinigami. He usually would be able to get into contact with others like me, but he wasn't sure if he would be capable of to where he was at right now. It would certainly be difficult, but if he needed back up he wasn't going to have much of a choice but to contact them. Either way, he had no idea what was causing the influx of spirits in the area or where they were coming from. Ichigo didn't have all the news in the world when it comes to the clans that live in the area, only knowing of the Ascendants, the Pitt, and the Typhoon. That was the extent of his knowledge as he hadn't managed to travel through all of the different clans that were around the area. He also had to choose the one that had an ocean attached to it, Ichigo having been terrified of the ocean in general. But he was going to stay here for now until he got his bearings. Up until this point he had never heard of Tanglewood in his entire life. No one had mentioned them to him, whether it was in a meeting or just a simple conversation. He didn't blame them as they weren't supposed to educate him on anything, hence why it was common for him to go off on his own to seek the answers that he wanted. When he was a leader of a clan, he had made sure that all of their allies would be welcomed, whether they were in contact a lot or rarely so. He wasn't going to just leave them out to dry because what kind of person would he be if he did that? Everyone needed some sort of remorse for those that they interacted with and needed some form of sympathy too. Thinking in such a way helped so many, and it would always be the way that Ichigo would begin to think when it came to the clans. Hell, he didn't know what would have happened to the clan that he had returned to that was about to be taken over if it hadn't been for him asking a larger ally for help in driving them away. The wildcat had thought he was going to lose his home forever, and he knew that his clan hadn't been keeping in contact with them for who knows how long. But the leader knew him, her name being Tama, and she had a caring soul. When he had sent a message through the use of his owl, the female didn't even remotely hesitate to help them. Ichigo had been glad that he had stopped them in their tracks so that he could have his home again. That would be the second time he would be a clan leader and he brought his group all the way back to greatness once again. Leading a clan wasn't easy, and sometimes tough decisions were going to be needed to be made. The Shinigami didn't really have all that much of an idea of what was going on as he walked around with his enhanced hearing on. he was trying to listen for anything suspicious on the border considering what was happening with the Ascendants. But he also had his clairvoyance on to be on the lookout of souls that he could help to the afterlife. He had tried to keep Sunhaven as free from spirits but he was only one man and could only do so much in the end. A sigh escaped his jaws as his paws were starting to ache after constant walking. Indeed, Axle would be right about the aspect of a cougar living in the area. As far as he knew, the wildcat was the only one of his species that lived in Sunhaven. A familiar instance that Ichigo was used to because even from the clans that he came from cougars were rare. He heard voices off in the distance thanks to his enhanced hearing and began to make his way over toward where the voices were coming from. The armored cougar teleported himself near the largely growing group. What in the world? There were so many of them. They looked like an entire clan. Hearing Marina's words, his attention turned back to the group that was mostly canines. Although the shape of an owl took Ichigo's attention in the trees. It was obvious that the owl was a ghost, and his job as a Shinigami was to keep a tally, especially if there were ghosts that were living with clanners. The Japanese swordsmen attention didn't remain on Airin for very long as he looked at the rest of the canines that had gathered. Ichigo didn't seem remotely all the suspicious for the group and didn't see any issue for the group. He flicked the black tip of his tail as he adjusted the large sword on his back before speaking, a tired grin spread across his facial features. "I'm sorry to hear about what is happening in your territory. But as stated by others, stay as long as you need." The wildcat said calmly toward the clan that was in front of him. He didn't know what group they belong to, but if they were going out seeking shelter that was all that mattered to the Shinigami. "The name's Kurosaki Ichigo. Nice to meet ya." A former leader would say casually, as he would make a mental note to figure out where the group's territory was at. Sounded like the problem was worse than he imagined and he was going to need to try and fix it as best as he could. Re: Migration - Tanglewood refugees - buckingham barnes - 10-26-2018
Tanglewood had their own problems with ghosts? Bucky knew that Sunhaven was having their own situation with some ghosts, but clearly Tanglewood's been pounded more. Bucky couldn't even imagine Sunhaven having to retreat to an ally for shelter because their territory became unsafe to live in thanks to some pesky ghosts. He can't even imagine what the ghosts did to drive them out- he only hopes their ghosts didn't follow. The former assassin silently padded in after Ichigo, padding up beside the male as he looked over at the Tanglewood members. His light blue eyes blinked, as he opened his mouth to speak. "I'm so sorry about your territory- that sounds awful. Like Marina said, you're all welcome to stay here." Of course, as long as they listen to Marina's rules and regulations. Though, he felt quite confident that they would oblige, as after all they are taking refuge in a foreign clan. If Sunhaven were to take refuge in Tanglewood for example, they'd be expected to follow their rules & regulations. So hopefully they won't have a problem with that. "I'm Buckingham Barnes- Bucky if you'd prefer. It's nice to meet you all." He said, with a curt nod of his head. Re: Migration - Tanglewood refugees - HAMMOND - 10-26-2018 [align=center][div style="text-align: justify; width: 60%; font-family: georgial; font-size: 11pt;"]More insensitive comments came in from Sunhaven, and whilst he didn't believe so much in letting other's words justify a forming opinion, this was a new situation that required such reckless judgement. What he was hearing was a sure sign of apathy, that they didn't truly care for Tanglewood and instead just saw it as a way to boost their 'PR', as one might say. No sane creature would jest about another being driven from their homes, then offer no forms of apology when such behavior went unpunished. With rules about respect so easily abandoned, the Heeler was left with the impression that these folk were on the verge of collapse - perhaps one day they'd turn into the Pitt. Regardless of his sudden mental tirade, the tiniest hints of a growl were offered in Leroy's defense, at least knowing better than to attack them straight up. Others started apologising, but it felt so jaded, he couldn't help but stare right through those with a sudden conscience. Once everyone had seemingly spoken their peace, Axle began taking steps backwards, refusing to show his back to these guys as he stepped away. With no need to introduce himself or follow them into the lion's den, the male would use the time to find the closest thing to a fox's den he could. When far enough to protect himself from a sneak attack, the male turned around, looming off towards unknown lands. It truly felt like he was leaving, like he was back on the road and fending for himself. The feeling was lonely, and for the moments of calm within him he had to wonder if living with a group for so long had left him spoiled and vulnerable. His gaze hardened. No, he wouldn't think about that at the moment. |
