Re: LOUDER THAN WORDS | FERAL UTAHRAPTOR - PINCHER - 10-17-2018 CAPTAIN PINCHER ROUX | resides in the typhoon and is the demigod of rough seas. he is a muscular dark gray panthera hybrid with frigid glacier blue eyes, marked with scars and glowing tattoos. he is the head of the roux family and is currently single. he is known for being a charming strategist with dark secrets. be cautious around him. —— ⚓ ❝ A MODERN GOD IN A TAILORED SUIT — WHO'S LIPS TASTE LIKE FORBIDDEN FRUIT ❞ Pincher held mixed feelings for ferals. He understood that some animals lacked the basic intelligence that everyone else seemed to have, their mind only evolving to remain in a reptilian brain. He had read a few books about the information of how a reptile saw the world. Food. Survive. Fight. Mate. There were basic simple things that they desired, there was no ambition to become advanced or to have some sort of complex hierarchy of needs. It was just the impulsive desire to survive and thrive the best one could with their abilities. He knew that if he was feral, he would behave he same way but Pincher wasn't and he would use the knowledge he had to make sure to at least be able to have the ferals that roamed the island to at least be controlled somewhat. Or that they knew that some things were simply off limits. He trusted Owen enough to be able to do his job in maintaining the peculiar unique raptors in check but once again, he kept an eye especially because he knew that some of them tended to compete against one another to be seen as the "alpha" of the pack or whatever the fuck they called their group. Pincher was strolling through the territory of the Typhoon, tattooed shoulders tense as he wondered what was the unfamiliar scent he could identify in the slightly colder air. He wrinkled his dark pepper black nose, his forked tongue slipping out to gently taste the air as the scarred healing male was just trying to make sure it was a complete trespasser with hostile intentions. Part of him desired for it to be an enemy so he could completely tear their jugular apart and make them regret taking one step into pirate territory but at the same time, he felt too tired to fight. He was still healing from the rescue raid, his bandaged throat hiding the jagged healing wounds that were still raw but healing quickly thanks to his medicinal members and his own personal healing capabilities. He swallowed awkwardly, grimacing ever so slightly at the pain of doing so but his attention was grabbed when he heard peculiar growls and snarls fill the warm tropical air that was hinted with the growing temperature of colder seasons. His electric sapphire blue gaze narrowed and he began to quicken his pace, wanting to see that hell had not broken loose. Or well for now. He wasn't in the mood to clean up whatever tensions were bubbling within his crew as fights and arguments were quite common. The panthera hybrid stepped into the clearing where everyone was, his ivory white paws gently sinking into the ground and he quickly analyzed the situation. His eyes faintly widened — not out of fear but out of shock — and the towering dark storm gray male glanced to each creature that he could currently see. Most were raptors, but one raptor he did not recognize and it caused his eyelids to droop, half-lidded with suspicion and concentration. He noticed that Lucifer was there as well and that Owen appeared to be trying to ease down the dangerous touch of the situation but his attention snapped to CCLIV, his obsidian black ears pricking as he headed over and aimed to wrap his paw around her and draw her away from the situation as he murmured "Owen, the fuck is happening here...? Who is that?" The captain glanced towards the other male with a glint of confusion gracing his ice blue gaze as the immortal wondered what the hell was happening. ❝ THE TYPHOON — CAPTAIN — IMMORTAL — DEMIGOD — FATHER — THE HERMIT ❞

"Alpha, Promise." Came the reassuring babble from Owen as Blue began to freak out once again, teeth jutting out of his jaws as he warned Blue silently. Don't go after them. Don't. "You're safe, Blue. You're home." He spoke calmly, his tail slowing down as he lowered his form to the ground. "Down. Come on, Blue." Owen's order was absolute, but he just wanted the girl to calm down. He wished he could shift into his shepherd form, to let her know he merely wanted her to calm down. He didn't like it when his daughters freaked out. Whoever did this to her, obviously traumatized the raptor. When Pincher came to the scene, though, Owen visibly tensed. He didn't move his gaze away from Blue, keeping it on her the whole time, but moved to stand directly in front of the demi-god and his child. A protective stance, one he wasn't going to budge from. "Her name's Blue, she was the Beta of this pack originally. She's.. It look like she was captured and tortured, I can't exactly pinpoint it, but she's scared." He replied to the Captain as calm as he could, before a single amber eye glanced over to Delta. "Eyes on me, Blue. Focus." He ordered again, trying this once more. If he could just get the utahraptor to look at him and hold his gaze, maybe he could get everything to simmer down. It was the same in every animal that existed. Everything needed to eat, drink and reproduce. There was nothing strange about that, but what about an animal that was created? One that was crafted from the DNA of others? Would they act the same? Considering up to this point, it would seem that those assumptions would actually be correct. They exhibited carnivorous behavior when it came to the environment around them. They were one of the smartest creatures that had roamed the earth other than humans of course. Which made them highly valuable and there were some instances where humans didn't want to just let them go and wanted to try and take them back to be part of their entertainment. Blue had a distinct distaste for humans or anything that acted like them. This was because while she had been shipped away from the facility that had created her, they had once tried to get her back using a helicopter and a electrified net. An electrified net that was set over the safe threshold and nearly cooked her alive when she was trapped in it. Her sisters and others around her had managed to save her but she was out of commission for a while. The female hated humans even before she was shipped, especially those that would be outside of her paddock and would stare at her. Eye contact could be a good or bad thing debating on how it was used with animals. It could mean a challenge when something gave eye contact, which could prove to be fatal if one wasn't careful. It could also end up being an intimate moment for both of the creatures, but those instances were rare and far between one another. There had been one instance where a new employee got too close to the cage that had windows in the early installments of the paddock. He had leaned up against the window while he was watching Blue, and the last thing that the employee expected was for Blue to grab his arm. It was there that she had managed to twist and turn her head fast enough that she ripped the employees arm off, everyone already being alerted to what was happening thanks to his screams. The Utahraptor swallowed his arm, and it was then that improvements were made to the paddock and there were no longer windows in certain areas. Blue didn't like being controlled. She enjoyed following her own mind and doing whatever she wanted. If someone from the Typhoon were to try and give her a command it would mean that they would e lucky if she didn't attack them right off the bat. Animals that were tensed and stress definitely didn't like when they were surrounded, and this was no different. How many creatures were around her right now? Too many, especially with the appearance of Pincher. The creature was a lot smaller than the nearly 7ft tall creature. She had eaten tigers in her times, and a smaller fur covered beast would be easy for her to take down. Her dark amber eyes flickered from the smaller furred creature that soon had the larger one standing in front of it. Blue had to remember that this was indeed a pack. But if this was another pack, why weren't they fighting them? It meant that they were competing for food after all. One thing was for certain, her aggression was to hide the fear and pain that she was in. Blue listened to Pincher speak but didn't understand anything he said except for the word 'Owen'. This made her turn in the direction of what others were calling Owen, in her term as Alpha. Blue let out a loud exhale from her nostrils as she shifted her weight from one leg to the next, her shackles rattling loudly as she did so. Her attention skipped from one animal to the next until she looked at one of the larger beasts that were speaking to her in her pack language. He was saying that he was the Alpha. Her fings flexed as she started to hold her arms closure to her body, standing up in a regular posture, except that her feet were slightly spread from one another so she could move in a moments notice. Anxiety rippled through her body as the large beast began to lower its body to the ground. It hadn't made a motion to try and attack her yet. That was a good sign. But was there a reason to it all? She wasn't quite sure at this point, but she would take any reprieve she could get. Blue slightly mimicked Owen's movements, but she didn't put herself all the way to the ground as she was still apprehensive that this was Owen. The creature continued to address her by her name. There were very few animals that were capable of doing such. Maybe in the other place that she had stayed in a long time, but this one looked and sounded completely different, which only left a couple options. Her nine-inch long sickle claws dug into the gravel earth, Blue's chest rising and falling at a slightly slower rate. Blue's eyes began to trail away from Owen as he began to speak to someone, using only a handful of words she was able to understand and associate. Her tail lashed behind her, showing that she didn't like the situation that she was in right now, and when the command was given again, she looked back on Owen. While she kept eye contact, she would sometimes fidget, whether that be her lip curling up slightly, or one of her appendages twitching. Another scale fell off from the side of her neck onto the ground below. However, she seemed to start slowly following orders. "Good, Blue. You're doing great." Owen rumbled the praise, reaching back with his tail to search for Masie. "Masie, up. Head." He babbled to the child, allowing her to climb up from his tail to reach his head, where the blanket always sat. When she did so, Owen would stand back up on all fours calmly, chittering a few commands as he prepared for the pack to leave. To return to their nest, so they could all rest. Blue needed it. "Blue, Delta, follow." Owen called out to his two girls, before turning to Lucifer and Pincher, nodding silently to them. He didn't know how Blue would do in the Typhoon, but they'd figure it out. It felt like he had to earn her trust back, though. Silently, Owen wondered when he'd see Charlie and Echo again, but that was a thought for another day. Quietly, with a barely audible rumble, Owen slipped back into the trees, heading back to their nest that wasn't too far away. Owen subconsciously wanted to rip those shackles off of Blue's legs, to free her, but he couldn't. Not right now. She liked to do her own thing and there was very little one could to do change her mind in the end. The Utahraptor was almost like that of a child, which was why Owen had his work cut out for him in the very beginning. Luckily for him, he had raised them when they were just hatchlings and they were able to imprint on them. This was able to be noted due to their bird DNA that was put inside of their genes. Blue didn't get a lot of bird DNA, and instead, she got an increase in black-throated monitor lizard DNA, which had given her the signature blue stripe that ran across her body. They were pack animals, and that meant that more of them were almost made instantly. Being the oldest meant that she was able to grow a lot quicker than the rest of her siblings and get a bit of a head start. This allowed her to assert her dominance on her smaller sisters and fights would eventually break out between them. There would be squabbles here and there for dominance, but once a line was drawn it was rarely crossed again. An instance with Echo is where she had challenged Blue for her position in the pack and Blue was quick to punish her for it, leaving a long scar along the side of her face because of it. Echo usually didn't speak out of turn from that and Blue was glad for that because it didn't mean that she had to waste her energy on useless fights that already had everything dictated on it. Blue was the Beta, and when Owen wasn't around she was in charge and she made sure no one tried to get overconfident. She ruled with an iron fist but it was because of that, that her pack was able to survive as long as it did without Owen originally helping them out. The Utahraptor was strong-willed and so were the rest of her sisters. If they had each other, there was nothing for them to fear or perceive as a threat as they could take on much larger creatures together. And if they couldn't, they would devise a plan on how to do it. Blue made sure that she remained on the other side of the deer carcass that was still not completely eaten in front of her. Blue's shifting movements slowly start slowing in intervals and were less rapid. Which was certainly progress but it was far from being anything good. She would still look out of the corner of her eye to make sure that there weren't any of the other beasts that would try to attack her. Blue blinked her eyes once when she was given praise, and hearing that gave her a bitter memory of the creatures that tortured her saying that when she did something remotely right. This memory caused her lips to curl slightly until she heard the beast in front of her speak to the other raptor that was near him. She broke eye contact to look at the smaller raptor, before turning to look back at Owen, her sickle claws tapping the ground as she clenched her fingers. She moved into a standing position into the slightly lowered one that she had been in. Blue did lower her head to scratch at her left arm with the shackle to scratch at the irritated area. Her attention turned back to Owen when he turned around and commanded her and Delta to follow. Blue's eyes looked toward Delta for a moment wondering if she would follow what he said, and she watched him go into the trees. She wasn't sure if she wanted to follow that command or not. The Utahraptor looked at the other creatures that were still there, and especially the large dragon that had always caused trouble for her. She would much prefer to be away from him that was for sure. A loud exhale scaped her jaws as she let out a frustrated growl trying to decide what she wanted to do. She looks down at the deer in front of her again, and there was no way she was going to leave that. Blue lowered her head, steadying the carcass with her left foot, and used her sickle claws and the claws on her fingers to slice away the flesh of the deer's leg, before twisting her head to the side as she heard the joint pop out of place on the deer's hip. From there, she was able to rip the leg off of the dead animal and start moving slowly in the direction that Delta and Owen went. Blue was extremely cautious, making slow progress as she looked over shoulder and looked at the animals that would be left behind. Blood coated her claws and teeth as she carried the severed deer leg, before finally disappearing in the trees. Even now, she was going to be avoiding the beast that called him Alpha until she came to terms with the idea that it was indeed Alpha. |
