Re: CALCULATE // o, joining - Grey - 09-13-2018 Always, the ring of a single bell whether it be once or twice will always trigger a swarm of crewmates to appear sooner or later. It was never advised to ring the golden brass more than once for it would be anger that follows, a swirling storm of vexation and furious eyes. And yet, at this moment in time, the reaver was rather thankful for hearing the sound of metal clangs. For a moment there, he thought he had gone mad, trapped within the spasms of his mind, neurons firing false signals in every direction. Even now, he feels nauseous. Perhaps going out was a bad idea, he should have stayed home and in bed. He should have gone to sleep, forget about his responsibilities and ignore the smoking air which circulates about him. Bakugou, of course, still puts in the energy to roll his eyes when Linux and Luciferus appear, deciding to join in on all the sharing. He was not here to make friends, simply oversee business and be on his way out. Regardless of what the ragdoll was convincing himself of, he saw more pirates join the growing 'welcoming party' including their infamous Officer Caesar. He wonders if anyone even bothers to acknowledge the savannah cat's rank. His eyes almost fail to catch Marcellus' lanky form.
Bakugou stares again at the dragon through a stone-cold glare, noticing the way the reptilian creature observed his pain. He must have been making notes, questioning or even belittling the reaver that the tabby's upper lip begins to curl without him noticing. Bakugou has never liked being stared at. It only draws his attention back to his own body that's still shaking, unable to keep still. It frustrates him more because it feels as though the world could see it, his own cells darting back and forth. If he looks down at his feet, he's convinced they're moving but no one can see it let alone decipher the nausea that was ridiculing him. Beck. That ghostly child, the one that looked like a phantom and was strange in many ways. He personally doesn't like him but Bakugou doesn't really like any of his crewmates. He's always finding a reason to bicker and argue with them, always giving everyone a reason not to approach him because of his antisocial behaviour. Then comes the next line of dialogue which actually mattered to the reaver, the dragon asking to join. It intrigues him how Ska'arq wished to join The Typhoon shortly after -... Bakugou begins to cough, doing his best to keep himself together despite how much it felt as though his ribs were going to crumble ...- asking for the whereabouts of Beck. He doesn't, however, have to speak up. It seems that Caesar was far more in tune with this conversation than Bakugou was. Well, he thinks to himself, it is to be expected. The ragdoll isn't surprised that the Officer was so willing to sell out the ghost boy's existence without stopping to ask what the reptilian's relation to the male even was. It bothers him mostly because Bakugou pays a lot of attention to a creature's use of words. 'Intel' doesn't sound so friendly. His sanguine hues flick to the savannah once more, nose twitching at Caesar's lack of aggression. It seemed like his vile behaviour only existed for the irritation of his crewmates. 'The Hell y-you want with h-him?' Bakugou blinks confusedly, breaking from the trance that was his mind. He replays the young girl's words in his head again, realising he had been blocking out the sounds around him in order to try and think and forget the pain that came like a static television, hushing and buzzing at his fur. Protective. It seems that their Dealer was quite protective over their crewmate Beck, interrogating the male in a manner that he expected from anyone but her. As Bakugou thinks on it further, he can see how it is in the bengal's nature to react in such a manner. "Well, welcome and whatever," Bakugou rumbles, half-heartedly waving his fire-coated tail. For some reason, no one ever questions it. They merely accept that there is a ragdoll who has a tail of fire, fire that doesn't spread because of a masterful control. The reaver begins to reanimate, moving his limbs and stretching them so that he doesn't trip over his own paws when he walks again. "Uh, Barracuda Bay is that-a-way," the reaver adds, raising a paw and pointing towards the track. He trusts the dragon will find the place eventually as he shrugs his shoulder and leaves to his hut, uninterested in staying around for too long. |
