As the odd boy flung himself from her grasp and hobbled away from her, teetering on three legs with sheer traumatic rage, the healer simply blinked back at him. The shock that burned inside her mind barely managed to slip through to her body; the curl of her tail-tips seemed the only outward sign of how he startled her so. After a moment, she managed to recover enough to chide him, "I'm sorry, but I have to - you're badly wounded." She spoke her words slowly, her broken tempo betraying how she lamented over her diction.

"Your jaw is badly broken, among other injuries, and you're probably exasperating the injury with every syllable. If you can, just try to think, hard, at me and I'll pick it up with the telepathic link I created earlier," Rosemary continued, trying to concisely explain the extent of his injuries without losing his attention or exciting him further. Though she couldn't help but feel a bit annoyed at him, too; why couldn't he just sit still and let her fix him?
