"Look at you." Alex murmured, smirking when Bastille officially claimed Oni as his own Fireball, wondering how such a combination would turn out in the end. Unstoppable force vs. unmovable object, you know? Then again, he wouldn't pretend everyone could handle such a ball of energy, the kid wanted to fight the sun. He winced slightly though, the idea of being second best to Carolina, if she accepted at all anyway, was a little bitter to him. Not that Carolina was bad mentor material, no, not at all. She was a tough, scary lady. But he didn't think he was good enough to be her Fireball, not strong enough, not like Thea. She wouldn't get any use out of him. But it would be even weaker to express his feelings about it out loud, so he stayed silent, looking up at Bastille when his name was called.

Was he allowed to get away with it, forge similar-looking knockoffs and not have to deal with a crowd? Probably not. And besides, he didn't have to wear the necklace all the time, did he? Only if it was stylish, which he found wasn't the case in many of the accessories he had come across, save for an olive green military cap he was quite fond of. But even that was being used to block out a hole left in his quarters that was created due to...well, an accident.
He'd rather not be mistaken for a fireball. Of course, that was not the case in appearance alone, for he was decently much older than the average apprentice, though he was relatively youthful in comparison to his real age. Flamey, the former inhabitants of this form, was around six years old as an animal, give or take. Zjarr himself? Maybe close to 200 or 300, though his memory of past lives didn't extend much past the 160-170 year mark. Regardless, in all technicalities he wasn't really an observer, having held onto something to put the beads on, of course, but not actually seeking out the beads themselves in the process. Six new additions, he figured, was in order: five for the fireball achievements, one to be an observer. As such, the cyborg wolf would appear before the Astral Seraph. Bast seemed to know what he was doing, thankfully. Then again, distributing beads wasn't exactly a difficult process, was it? Lord have mercy on 'im if he knocks over that bag.
