Vandal tries not to let her irritation crest at Bakugou's comment, letting out a small huff in acknowledgement but saying no more to him other than that. If he doesn't like crowds, he can go - that's what Vandal does, she walks away, doesn't have to complain about this thing or that thing or anything that shouldn't even be worthy of a complaint. Her irritation only swells further at the way she sees Decius look at her, harrowed by the grin on his face. Something uncomfortable pricks at her, crawling like bugs on flesh, their spindly little legs stabbing into her skin.

She feels something press further into her side, and it's then that the maned wolf recognizes Goldie's familiar presence, enough to sent waves of soothing calm into her trembling bones. Gently, Vandal keeps her side pressed against the other's, not a single pocket of air left between. When she notices the young bengal shivering, she's quick to extend one wing and gently, tenderly, curl it around her niece, a blanket of soft black feathers around her back.

Vandal keeps looking for a second, tempted to ask what's wrong but figures... figures it's not the right time to be asking such questions. Instead, she files it away for later, and turns her attention to the shimmering ocean, almost invisible save the reflection of the moon dancing in silver spirals across the ever-moving waters. "The sky is beautiful, but the ocean equally so. When the moon is out, it sets sail across the waves." Her voice is light, shimmering in the cold, night air. Silver dashes in the waves. "There's something very humbling about the night, don't you think?"
