Vandal meets his gaze head on, smirk rising to match his - a challenge, she presumes? No matter how she feels inside, she's not exactly one to turn down a battle, and she regains her composure the more he dares to look into her eyes. She faces him head on, teeth beginning to bare in an adrenalized grin as energy surges through every fiber of her being. He dares... he dares? He dares to try and one-up her? She's rather petty when it comes to certain matters, and she refuses to look away even when all of her senses are telling her to, trilling for her to leave him by the border and never look at his face again.

She doesn't miss the way his gaze traces over her body, but considers it a victory of her own to have been the last one looking. Still, the way he had watched her - unnerving, back to feeling that bitter sense of dread - continues to crawl across her skin uncomfortably. Vandal gathers it all and tosses it into the back of her head for safe-keeping, knowing that she would never let anyone, anyone find out that she's capable of feeling fear so strongly that it's shaken her to her very core. A secret held only in the whispers of the night.

"My name is my identity," she responds in kind, teeth clicking together to punctuate her sentence. At his lingering gaze deeper into the territory, she takes it as her signal to begin the march back. "We always have room in the Typhoon - and if we don't have room, we make room. We control the conditions we live in," she adds with a wave of her tail, words heavy with meaning; it's a proclamation of her homeclan's strength and resilience, how they continue to thrive despite the odds.

"Well then, best follow me - that goes for all of you," she begins, waving her tail at the other Typhooners gathered, before continuing, "We can get you all settled in a day if you don't mind the huts or the tavern - building something, of course, will take more time but I'm sure you can manage." Having said what she's needed to say, Vandal offers them all an impish smirk, so familiar on her face, before leading the way back towards camp.
