[div style="width: 45%; margin: auto; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 11px; line-height: 110%; text-align: justify"]Oh, Sunhaven sounded like a very nice group, at least going by its name. Hearteyes joins her clanmates at the border, hazy eyes going from Jericho to Bridgette, and then back again. What a charming pair. She feels a purr start to rumble in her chest, eyes crinkling into half-moons. "I can't say anything about an alliance, sorry, but um, but that trading thing sounds interesting! What do you guys trade?" Hopefully it's okay for her to ask things like this - she wasn't too sure what the line between a normal member of the clan and someone like Bastilleprisoner was.

BASTILLEPRISONER AURELIUS
BY THE GRACE OF THE FIRE AND THE FLAMES
Ah, fuck. That meant that this was Bastille's business, unfortunately. The bengal let out a sigh, and he might look a little bit put-upon for a moment, but then he reminded himself to be polite. Right. It wasn't this Jericho guy's fault that he fucking hated his job, after all. Forcing a more neutral expression, he gave an idle nod and drawled lazily, [b]"Right. I guess being up and coming you wanna get some shit established... Why us? You just looking for allies in any one at the moment, or did you choose us in particular for some reason?" He didn't really care if they weren't special, but he didn't want to end up shacking up with a mutual ally to the Typhoon.

Agent Washington
former human - freelancer - manipulative
Physical injuries were common where he was from. He was the second most likely to get injured during a mission that they went on, just behind Maine who was the muscle of the group. He was used to having his bones broken. Was used to being shot. But there was one thing that always happened, and it was that no matter the injury, the Freelancer always ended up coming back from his injuries. He was basically known for it. Although he was also known for getting a grappling hook attached to his crotch, that was a story that would never be told unless Carolina decided to tell it others that didn't need to know that event. Ever since he had arrived in the outpost that they were in now, he had been informed that there were other outposts that were around them. Considering Typhoon was an enemy, he wasn't going to try and trust other outposts that they came into contact with just to be careful. Maybe it was the overall paranoia that he had with everyone and it was increasingly difficult to try and interact with others, but he was getting better because he had no choice but to try.

Either way, he knew what it was like to have an injury, a disability though was something that he didn't and one that soldiers rarely often got. Half the time they died in the field instead of surviving long enough to deal with the long-lasting effects of their injuries. One of those instances had been during a training session with Texas when York ended up losing his eye in an explosion. It was horrible, and they weren't sure if the other would be able to continue working. The program didn't really give him an option, and he was going to try his damned best to help his family though. Washington was surprised when the other had been there for the Sarcophagus mission and actually managed to do his job. What he knew of York's current status, he wasn't sure after the crash. In his mind, everyone had survived and made their way to this world, but he had yet to see the other and it was fairly concerning. It was rare to see anyone that was blind, and in fact, he wasn't sure if he had ever seen anyone that was blind when he joined the military. A long stretch, but one couldn't get into the military if they couldn't see as it would just be another body piled up during the war.

Washington commonly did border patrols, as there was no reason for him not to, he just ended up doing it alone though. Usually, others would be concerned with the appearance that he did have. That being he had metal armor covering the front portion of his body and that he wore a helmet that hid all of his expressions so no one could see what he really looked like and how he was reacting. That was the point of him constantly wearing his armor though. Washington made his way over as he noticed that there were two cats on the border, but since he wore his helmet, he couldn't smell anything through it. There was no way for him to identify scents, and he didn't bother when he could use his ears and sight. Instead of using the traits of an animal to his advantage, which he constantly refused to believe. The armored Freelancer stopped himself a little bit of a distance from everyone else, although sat slightly behind where Carolina was sitting. She was shorter than him before, but now she was even shorter. He looked at the one that was talking, and the blind cat seemed to be the leader of the group.

Could someone blind lead? In Washington's case, he didn't think that was going to be a good decision to make. All senses needed to be made if they were going to end up going into war. Washington may be skeptical, but again it was none of his business despite the rank that he had in this outpost. Which he didn't even really use all that much anyway. Traders? That could be useful to them if they needed it, and whether or not they had an alliance wasn't his business again. The former human waited for the other to stop speaking before talking again. [b]"What kind of resources do you commonly have to trade and what currency do you ask for them? Do you have any weapons?" The soldier questioned the other. More specifically he was looking for some sort of knife that he could use if he needed to. A magnet was incorporated into his armor so that if he wanted to carry anything that was metal he could carry it on his back. After speaking in the usual deadpanned tone that he used, the armored creature spoke again. "Agent Washington." The smilodon introduced himself. It would be beneficial for the Freelancers to get onto the good side of the traders as it meant that they could get more supplies that they would need in the future.
