Re: leave out all the rest --- keona - SÉAMUS - 08-27-2018 ☠ I will not take this anymore; these words will never be ignored. you want a battle? here's a war —
With an amused glint in his eyes, the male trailed his niece. A silent shadow with an absent smile. A memory of Haliaka's smile flashed in his mind's eye, but he chased it away with a scowl and creased brow. Keona was lucky in a way, he mused bitterly, to have no memory of her mother. That way there was an empty hole perhaps, but no real pain of remembering. It'd been years and years since he lost his own mother and father, the memory burned into his skull, fueling the fire of a deep rooted hatred of those mortals who'd torn his family apart.
#psychosocial. He shook his head sharply, keen sea-green eyes locking once more onto his niece. He hummed softly in acknowledgment to her question, letting his attention wander across the arena thoughtfully. It was spacious. "Larger than the Tempest," he offered after some thought, hoping it would suffice. "You'll tire yourself out 'fore running all the way around, I'll tell you that, Sibi." God knows she might try anyway; he'd seen the way she ran across the beach some days. It would certainly give her some exercise. That said, he wondered if now was a good time to ask about her interest in training. She was still a minnow, by the crew's standards of age, as far as he was aware. She was a blackjack, if he remembered correctly, and been a Striker for a while, but that did not mean she was trained. It did not mean anything to him, who at her age had been receiving lessons from a private tutor in combat. He'd known how to fight since he could walk. Keona probably did not know a thing about properly defending herself. That wouldn't do. "I've a different idea." He offered softly. "Let's play a game, Sibi." "Hit me three times an' you win." Did he plan on playing fairly? No, not really. He'd let her figure that out though.
