malphas grinned. so far, no questions. he rather liked putting his herb knowledge to good use, and with iota at his side, he was strangely confident. that, or it was the alcohol in his system. who knew? he kept up the grin as he fished out the next herb. "this next one is called tall buttercup- or just buttercup, really. it's iconic," malphas nodded, showing them the beautiful bright yellow flower. "however, as pretty as it is, it's actually dangerous. just like me," he joked. "don't eat this under any circumstance. it has little medicinal use and it grows like a bitch all over the place and it will fuck up your stomach and make your mouth burn like hell. milkweed is harmless in comparison to this lil' guy," he set it down.

"next up. nightshade, of course," he spoke, showing them a purple-and-blue flower hanging off of a weak stem. "now, i've only found two of these plants out in the swamp so they're pretty rare, and these will fuck you up. wink wink, make somebody eat these and they will not live too long," he said, looking at morgan and winking, since morgan had warned him not to poison anybody earlier. "any questions?"

"How terrifying," Morgan muttered as the feline described the plants. "Who knew plants had such... such power?" He made a mental note of all their effects, almost afraid to sniff at any of them. The new knowledge was comforting, and Malphas' words were even more so. He nodded, thankful for the acknowledgement of his safety concerns.

There was one thing which he had wondered about since the start of the lesson, but he did not want to interrupt until he was able to speak. "Malphas, if we don't have something like swamp milkweed nearby, is there anything we can do to stop the other plants from hurting someone?" He tried his hardest to keep his voice steady as he asked. To the cream samoyed, something unavoidably lethal like nightshade was inconvenient in the worst way possible.
