A soft hum slipped from the feline, the snow leopard shuffling closer to Byr, attempting to lean against him. “There’s no need to thank me Moonlight, I only speak the truth,” they mused. “Sometimes I wish I didn’t have to feel the beauty, I miss being able to see the moon and her stars, if only I could see them one last time,” the said, their words laced with a longing sadness.

He blinked at the movement, looking down at Saturn as they leaned into him. He leaned a little toward them, keeping them supported, keeping them close. "Oh, who knows. One day you may be healed, one day you will see the stars again. One day you will.." You will see me for what I am. And he could not finish that sentence.
There was part of him that wanted Saturn to be able to see again, but the other part hoped they never regained their sight. Not because of malice, but because the god, and he would never admit it, was scared they'd leave him. He was beginning to think he was becoming soft, fearing his tainted, bloody soul was getting too close to this pure soul. He drew in a deep breath, exhaling it while letting a gentle sob escape him.

Saturn perked up at the sound of the sob, the feline tilting their head to peer blankly up at Byriath. They wanted to reach up and wipe Byr’s tears away but sadly they were too small and so instead they just nuzzled their head against the him, allowing their tail to wrap around Byriath’s leg.
“And if I do your face is the first I want to see so I can admire how lovely you are,” the hummed, a soft smile dancing on their muzzle. They hadn’t meant to make the war god cry but they also had to tell the truth, it was a thing that needed to be said and if he had to they would do it all over again.
