Thank god there was someone else hopping into the conversation because quite frankly, Horizon was getting annoyed with Jadeire. If it wasn't obvious by his hackles raising, of course. Though as Auberon spoke and came over, the devil forced himself to relax, though he was still very obviously annoyed with Jadeire's comments. "I think carving out some steps in the mountainside would be better. Just in case there are other animals like me." Or had a fear of heights, which Horizon still has figured out if that was the main reason that he was on edge or not. "I might take up a home in the mountains, then. If there's a spare one that you know of?" He asked Auberon next, looking over at the Sage now.

Oof, doing it the old fashion way would... be hard, to say the very least. Still, if that's what had to be done, then it had to be done. At the mention of flooding, Horizon seemed to tense up. "Y-yeah. I'd, uh. I'd definitely want to be off the ground if that ever happened." He commented, casting Jadeire a glare as if trying to say, Don't say anything. The water was one thing that he knew he was afraid of. He'd definitely want to keep away from that.

At the question of what he was looking for in a home, Horizon pondered it for a moment as he started to relax now that the idea of a flood was out of his mind. "Nothing really in particular. Just, y'know. High enough so I don't get swept off my paws and low enough so I don't accidentally fall or somethin'."

Jade could tell she was annoying the shit out of Horzion and let a joyous smirk spread across her maw, giggling quietly to herself as she let Auberon do all the talking. Her feathers fluttered as Auberon mentioned old-fashioned and she smiled at him. "Old fashioned sounds fun, doesn't it?" Horizon then spoke quickly in response to the flooding as if he absolutely despised it, stammering a bit. Oh yeah, he definitely didn't like water. Jade kept her face carefully neutral as she began plotting ways she could prank him with other children's help, or alone.

"Sounds fun, but exhausting." Horizon agreed with both Jadeire and Auberon, though he definitely leaned more so towards Auberon in this case. In this specific situation, digging a burrow through a whole ass mountain sounded like it was more work than what it was worth. The leader's assurance on the dens being high enough did help Horizon feel better and the devil quickly trailed after Auberon as the other headed off.
