AURUM
DO NO HARM BUT TAKE NO SHIT !

There were many faces all gathered around, some of which Aurum recognized, and some of which he very much did not recognize. Even from his days back splitting his time between the Typhoon and Tanglewood, there were some new faces that didn't immediately spring to mind with names and memories. It made him smile, if only because it meant that he had the opportunity to make new friends, while also hanging out with the old ones. As if on cue, he nodded his head to Sam, Leroy, and Vathmos, glad to see his clanmates had come to attend. Vathmos's meal was... well, less a meal and more just a slab of meat, but he was sure it would be appreciated anyways. He had no idea what Leroy had brought, but judging how the canine buried it deeply amongst the other dishes, Aurum couldn't imagine it was anything superb. Finally there was Sam, the female having brought with her a bunch of booze and some ice to keep it all chilled. He immediately found himself smiling gratefully at her, chuckling a bit when Goldie pulled her into a tight embrace. She looked embarrassed, but the proxy saw little reason for her to be. After all, it wasn't supposed to be a secret that her and Goldie were close, was it? Pushing that from his mind for now, the lion blinked at Goldie's comment before he laughed, saying with a crooked grin upon his muzzle, "I know that my fish probably can't beat the fish that you guys wrangle up around here, but I tried pretty hard to make sure it would be decent." After his nice little back and forth with Goldie, Aurum allowed himself to get comfortable, hooking his claws around one of the drinks that Sam had brought with her. It wasn't hard to pop it open, and he took a long sip of it before allowing himself to relax. He had no intention of getting drunk tonight, but he wasn't too worried about that at the moment anyways. It was difficult to get someone as large as him drunk on one bottle of beer alone. After he had taken his swig, his ears perked with interest when Rosemary spoke to him, quickly followed up by Roxanne introducing herself to everyone. They both seemed vaguely familiar, but he assumed that was due to their status as Rouxes. Although the family was chock full of all different kinds of people, that all sort of had that distinctive confident flair that made them fun to hang around, and these two were no different. Tail flicking behind him, Aurum took a deep breath inward before he introduced himself, "Hey there Rosemary, Roxie. I'm Aurum, and I'm the proxy of Tanglewood. I think I might've seen you two around before, but that wouldn't be too surprising. This place is like a second home." He then continued, thinking back to Rosemary's comment and biting back laughter as he glanced over at the table full of food, "Oh, I'm sure whatever you made will be great. Really I'm curious about what people will bring, considering how many different kinds of people are in the Typhoon and Tanglewood." In Tanglewood alone, their culture ranged wildly from person to person, so when you mixed The Typhoon into that as well? It wasn't at all surprising that the table full of food was a cacophony of mixed smells. The lion spared a glance or two towards Sam as conversation continued, trying not to get too worried about her. He'd already been told off several times about being a mother hen – although not from Sam herself, mainly just from Snarl – and he didn't wanna work himself up into an anxious panic over nothing. Besides, it was probably just residual need to recovery that was making her a little bit weak in the knees. After all, it wasn't as if the feline hadn't been through quite a bit in the last few months, things that needed a lot of time to fully bounce back from. ━ I'M GONNA WIN.┆PROUD. WARM. PROTECTIVE. ━ |
