AURUM
DO NO HARM BUT TAKE NO SHIT !

Aurum wasn't stupid, and he definitely noticed the way that his brother's eyes went down to the scar, staring at the twisted and rough pink flesh. He almost snorted at the way that Poet ripped his eyes away with some effort, evidently scolding himself internally for being so rude. A faint smile came to his face at the question, and he found himself glancing over at Roy's empty bed, mumbling, "It's... nice. It's good. I like having someone to take care of. Roy... he's a good kid. I just wanna make sure he has a good life. I wanna make sure he's protected, and happier than we... happier than I was when we were kids. He's my son, and I love him. Seems simple enough to me..." He then let his eyes linger on Poetking's face, one blue eye focused intensely on both of Poet's. He let out a dry little chuckle before he continued, amused and tired, "I know that's not what you really wanted to ask though, Poet. You're not subtle." ━ I'M GONNA WIN.┆PROUD. WARM. "what.. what happened?" Re: HUMAN PROCRASTINATION ☆ poetking - wormwood. - 01-31-2020

AURUM
DO NO HARM BUT TAKE NO SHIT !

The older lion couldn't help the soft chuckle that left him upon seeing Poet's face, a guilty look flashing across it before being replaced with embarrassment. He didn't really care much about the other asking, but it was pretty amusing to see him so worked up over something so simple. Stretching out his legs a little bit, Aurum let out a thoughtful hum before speaking, his one blue eye focused downward on the massive chest scar, along with all of the other smaller, more minor ones, "I was stabbed. With a lance, right through here." He tapped a paw gently against the middle of the scar, wincing a little bit at the sting of the still raw skin. When he pulled his paw back away, he continued, "I was out in the woods in a different form, trying to hunt myself some breakfast, when all of a sudden I was confronted by... well, by an angel. Uriel, actually. He was in the form of an ocelot. He asked me if I was ready to return home, and when I told him to go fuck himself, he called me a traitor to my fellow angel and stabbed me. I wasn't quick enough to stop him, and I ended up collapsing. I even... I even died, for a few minutes." The story was so ridiculous that it could've been mistaken for a joke, but it was pretty clear from the look on Aurum's face that it very much wasn't. The entire story was true, and he could still remember it all in painful detail. ━ I'M GONNA WIN.┆PROUD. WARM. "whoa, whoa, back up. what?" he gasped, getting to his feet and scrambling so he could get a closer look at the scar. "angel? traitor? since when are you religious?" AURUM
DO NO HARM BUT TAKE NO SHIT !

Aurum made a soft noise as Poetking got closer, shifting a little uncomfortably before he just sighed and puffed his chest out so that his brother could see it more easily. The scar was angry and still an unpleasant pinkish red color, with the branching little offshoots looking like little burns curling off of the initial stab wound. When he heard his brother's bewildered voice, he snorted before explaining, his eye narrowing briefly, "I'm not... I'm not religious, not really. But a couple of months ago, I started having these... strange dreams. I was in this place full of light, and... there was so much crazy shit going on, really. But everybody kept calling me this... weird name. An angel name. And I found out that... I'm an angel. I was an angel, way back before I was born. And then I got sent down here. I know it sounds crazy, but... it's hardly the most crazy thing that has happened the last few months." He shifted one of his wings up a bit, twisting it slightly to the side so that he could inspect his own feathers, "After I found out, I think the other angels expected me to... go back. Up there. But I didn't. I stayed here, so Uriel came after me." ━ I'M GONNA WIN.┆PROUD. WARM. "you.. are you being serious?" he asked. maybe aurum was just joking- the other knew he was religious. Re: HUMAN PROCRASTINATION ☆ poetking - wormwood. - 02-02-2020

AURUM
DO NO HARM BUT TAKE NO SHIT !

A soft sigh left Aurum as he looked at his brother, his one blue eye looking entirely serious as he met Poet's gaze. He then nodded his head, his voice dry as he rumbled, "Yes, Poet. I'm being entirely serious right now. You can choose whether or not you'd like to believe me, but these wings and this scar are my best evidence." He tapped softly against his chest scar again, wincing a little bit at the rawness of the skin. Despite what Poetking might've thought was going on, Aurum had no intention of punking him. His brother's religiousness hadn't even come to mind for the briefest of moments when he had discovered his own angelic nature. ━ I'M GONNA WIN.┆PROUD. WARM. PROTECTIVE. ━ |
