Re: favorite stuffed bear ● litter introduction [o] - idyllfields - 01-26-2020

idyllfields
stars did fall
idyll giggled as bai rested on their flank, allowing the dragon to hold them for a few moments. at least until the next to hatch arrived. when it did, idyll gently removed themselves and a gentle smile. "don't worry. we're going to work through this together." they were thankful halo was there to provide the physical comfort where they couldn't.

"okay, next one's already out! oh, seemed to have caused a minor injury when breaching." they peeled the rest of the egg remains from his body. their movements were careful and cautious, not wanting to cause any accidental harm. they took to their bag to retrieve some items, quickly applying some cotton to his lips to clean up the injury. "it's nothing too deep. if anything, it will leave a little scar but he's rather healthy." these cubs were still hungry despite anything, and idyllfields wasn't keen on keeping them from it for too long. they began to describe it as they carried him to bai's side with the firstborn. "this one's a bit more vocal." idyll joked. "his fur is beautiful, though. it has a reddish tint and dark brown rosettes. it looks like... light blue scales covering most of his legs and some around his face. oh, he seems to have a little growth for horns too. two tails as well. he's a bit of everything, huh?"

another began to crack through before they could continue. they gasped as it's head did not break through, but a section of... a wing? they were in awe as the kitten thrashed itself about. "this one is... lively." idyllfields commented as they picked up the kitten next and brought it next to the others. they were a bit concerned that it did not move, but hoped that its instinctual behaviors would kick in now that they were with the others.

"this one has wings! lots of green, some neon. on ends of his neck and scales scattered about his body. horn, too and... a tailfin! a bit more of a muscly kitten, too." for now there seemed to be a minor pause in the hatching, but they remained on the alert for more.

like most of his fellow hatchlings, this one was no different. wielding his tiny claws outstretched, fighting its yolky captive. it's pocket of oxygen had been broken through, giving him a limited amount to time to continue. he shot his muzzle forward, cracking a small surface of the shell. clearly not satisfied with it, he continued to peck. over and over until he was able to make his head breach through. the kitten had lacked an egg tooth that some of the others had, making a bit more difficult and time consuming, but his energy seemed to have no bounds.

his body was clearly that of a domestic feline. rather small and still just a scrap of fur, his rowdy mewls in protest made one think differently. the rest of his body was still trapped in the metallic shining egg, wriggling against the filmy substance keeping him trapped. his legs writhed and kicked, eventually, finally breaking through more from the side and tumbling out of it.

his mewls now no longer in complain, but rather triumph, he started to claw his way forward to the other scents and sounds, most still muffled from his ears and eyes being closed. a cream kitten with orange points, otherwise average lookin if it weren't for the collection of scales over their forehead and down their neck. a hardened underbelly of more black shining scales. to add more to it's monstrosity of genetics, a tail tapering down into a sharp spear that seemingly had a mind of its own as it lashed at the air.

One egg sat quite still. The markings of the shell being unremarkable...at first glance. There was a warmness to the dark color of the egg and it was less of a stillness and more so a wait. The little one had been in her cozy container for long enough, why was it that she was expected to leave now? Although...it sounds so comforting outside. Perhaps taking a small peak out wouldn’t hurt...

Biding her time, the little one was finally ready to leave her egg. It shook as the being within tried to push out. There was a crack as the infant caught a hold and then pushed out. It was harder then expected, and slippery too! Eventually though, with enough time, a small feline poked out of the shell.

It was hard to tell what exactly was going on, what with the smells and the sounds. It was all different and all new. It peaked the cub’s interest. She stumbled around, trying to get used to moving around in such a large area. Conveniently, it allowed all those older then her to see the dark pelt she wore and what looked to be orangey patches besides her jaguar spots. Although it took a bit to see the patterns now, it wouldn’t be awful to assume that they would only grow bolder with time.

The little jaguar female brushed up against mainly of the adults during her small adventures although not exactly stopping at anyone of them. This one was a curious cat for sure.

[OOC: ]

Not mine. That one isn’t either.

Kydobi would look at the little fox and even though he mewled at Kydobi... the brute was sure the pup wasn’t his.

For a brief moment he thought the dragon cats were his but upon further inspection they were in fact little servals.

Finally, however.... there would be one little jaguar that he knew was his. He smiled as he looked at her. He nearly got up.

“This one is mine. She’s beautiful. But surely I have more? I’ve been known to be potent.”

KEKHAI   dragon-jaguar hybrid - alithís evgenis - they/them

Another egg rattling, another youth attempting to barge into the world. Tiny talons scraping at the inside of the egg, trying to break free was the creature within. Chirping, peeping, chattering were the sorts of noises that came forth from the shell. Small cracks would grace the surface of the egg. Then, out would peek a small talon. Scrabbling at the rest of the egg in order to remove the creature within from it's confines. Clawing and scraping at the shell, trying to escape as best as it could. A struggle it was, but the hatchling within managed. Out peeked the young creature's head. Small, yet to have developed any significant traits. Fur would come in later, and so would other spotty variations. For the time being, it was almost foreign looking. A draconic body, certainly, but equally as odd. Two sets of ears and gills were present on the silver colored creature and were the most notable features spare the odd looking protrusions of fins that seemed to still be in development. Young, covered in the mess that came from those that had only now entered the world. Chirping noises demanded for attention, limbs sprawled out from the newborn's sides. A jagged mewl broke from the hatchling's gaping maw. Limbs awkwardly kicked at the remains of the discarded eggshell, peeping and continuing to weakly administer a noise to achieve attention as any newborn creature would. Slowly the youth's head tried to raise, but barely managed to do so before falling again. Hatching had been an exhausting feat, and it had taken it's toll on the newborn. The chirps and peeping died down as the silver colored youth tried to squirm forward - towards what, truly, was a debatable notion.
