with a heart, that was beating, out of my chest
To say that the cacophony of noise going on around the lion right now would probably be the understatement of the year. Aurum felt his ears pin down to his head immediately as several voices began speaking at once, and the lion found himself leaping down through the hole in the roof before he had fully processed what he was doing. He landed with a heavy thud beside Arrow, although thankfully a few flaps of his wings enabled him to land without any injuries. His one eye was full of fire as he focused on Kaito, his wings spread out in a menacing fashion as he took a step forward. He had every intention to run the kid out of the building and hopefully get him caught, considering it really wasn't the time to consider killing him, and Miller was hopefully waiting to snatch him up outside. As he stepped up from beside Arrow, Aurum rumbled in a warning snarl, "C'mon, kid. Just come with us peacefully and your punishment won't be as severe, alright?" Despite his challenging tone, his words were even and true. Aurum had no intention of doing anything terrible to the kid, provided he actually cooperated. Unfortunately for the both of them, it seemed as though Kaito wasn't keen on doing so. Aurum got ready to leap as soon as Kaito picked up the large gem, but... suddenly the other seemed utterly disinterested. A crushed look spread across the thief's face for a moment before he seemed to force it away, dropping the gem at Arrow's paws before giving a crooked grin. Aurum cursed especially loudly as Kaito darted towards the wall, disappearing just as fast as he could appear. The lion's paws slammed into the wall just a moment too late, and he silently cursed his own lack of intangibility. Letting out a snort of angry air, the male turned to shout outside, "He just goddamn disappeared through the wall! Make sure he's not around out there!" Once he had done that, he moved over to Arrow, saying with a frown as he inspected the sapphire, "What the fuck... why didn't he even take it?" The question was mostly rhetorical, considering he doubted Arrow had an answer. template by orion
