He was in mourning afresh, to learn of this. He could have been bitter, he could have just scorned, mocked and ridiculed the man who had died times previous again. Sides heaving, and his lungs burning as he whined, and whimpered, tears running with reckless abandon. "Why are memories stained yellow?" he croaked in his agony, his body just shaking from the effort of keeping his mouth shut, he couldn't take this agony for much longer, and just sobbed brokenly. This hurt way too much to handle.

Rene snorted in his anguish, but that was the only thing that would make him remotely better about himself, he felt better even if it did sting and make his heartache so much slower than normal. He closed his eyes, and just took into the embrace, even if it would take months, years, who knew how long for that massive wolf to reappear and the walk the earth again.
" What comes out of something like this, at least my memories with him are worth it, and even more colorful with just the yellow tint." he murmured with seldom resolve for his own thoughts, and he would adapt with everything. Even though the resolve for himself would probably break again, the moment he clasped his gaze back onto that idiot again, in time to come. As of right now, he would move through his process of grief even if it was a quiet moment.

they bowed their head respectfully, saying nothing but wordlessly embracing their uncle and trying to share their comfort with the smaller hybrid. "then keep those memories close and fond, until he comes back to you." they murmured gently to him, eyes warm despite their blindness. oh what they wouldn't give to have astro here again. they missed their beloved more than the world, and each day spent raising eclipse was a day too fsr away from him. they understood how rene felt, better than they wanted to admit.

That was the only thing that could push him forward, and he was wanting that more than anything.
What he wouldn't give to have his entire family here, although not the one who disowned him twice, only to bring him back when they have found something that he was of usage for.

the smoldering rage displayed within their eyes would be the main reason that the dragon shifter survived the next matter of months, maybe even years.
