Samantha wasn't sure she could be Samantha Brannon without losing a piece of her now. She wasn't known, she was left behind- to die, to perish. Her eyes shifted a bit as she looked back towards the shack, trying to abstain from frightening thoughts and scary past-time beliefs. She had tried to abstain, also, from the sight emitting from her eyes. The loneliness pierced, make her ache to help. But from the way she's acted, how she's made her presence a bit distant? She wasn't sure. The encircling thoughts in Sam's head clearly emitted a bit of a harsh taste in her mouth, something like bitter copper. She was sure she was overthinking it. Right? She gave a gentle nod. "Anything for you, I s'pose." She relaxed as she spoke, understanding how she seemed to emit her feelings currently. "And yes, that's where we're going." It took only a couple more seconds before she stepped away from Goldie, moving to push open the door. Inside, it was a quaint little place. Dim, with covered windows, and cobwebs here and there, but overall it smelled okay and was clean enough. She gestured Goldie in, heading towards the small bits of blankets here and there and a couple of spare throw pillows. "Not a lot here, but enough to sleep. Better then a bush, hm?" She let Goldie pass her, standing and awkwardly observing her. She seemed to toy with the blankets a bit. It was almost a dog-like, or nesting instinct she supposed. Had she known Goldie wasn't a typical blanket user, there wouldn't have been as much there. But she shifted her weight from paw to paw with a gentle tilt of her head. Sam herself was smaller in form, and probably shorter in fur length anyways. She got cold easily, so to make up for a length of body warmth, she leaned into the blankets and the weight of them instead. Her ears gently twitched as she spoke. She felt the softness radiate a bit, and took a hesitant step forward, letting her finish her statements. The way she spoke alone had made Sam lean into her a bit more. She felt her breath catch, for a moment. Somewhere in her mind, the click of a cassette tape sliding into place, and the hum of drums, synth, and guitar flooded to life. The bitter taste of betrayal hit her tongue again, her eyes shifting to the side. Could she let herself trust again? The music started to overwhelm the bitter taste, and when she looked back towards Goldie, it was only amplified. "Friends? Yeah, 've got to rebuild all of that." She replied with a snort, the synth music gently fading away as she ambled closer by a bit. Sam was exhausted, just the same as Goldie, but it originated from lack of energy due to being, well, just bones. She cleared her throat as Goldie spoke again, spluttering a bit by the end. One paw raised, gently tapping her own chest. "If.. if you want." Sam replied, slowly stepping onto the blankets and laying down. A faint wince pasted onto her face for a moment, making it clear Sam was still in pain. "Do what you want, though. You should be comfortable." She gestured towards the pillows. She didn't exactly mean herself, but if the loopy demigod chose her, well, Sam couldn't exactly fight.. right? "What, self proclaiming yourself?" Sam joked gently as she managed to make herself comfortable enough on the set of blankets she had assigned herself too. Now that she was back, Aurum was slowly starting to warm up to her, same with Leroy- but there was still so many people she didn't really know at the moment. They were all new faces, and they seemed like they had gone and made family without her. But they were immediate, they were close. Her eyes lifted towards Goldie's.. the travel distance had made it so hard for Goldie. Maybe.. No. She writ the idea off as soon as it arrived. However, she paused both in movement and breathing as Goldie shifted closer. Her ears flattened gently, not out of fear, but perhaps embarrassment. The gentle headtouch, she leaned into, even if briefly. She needed it, she finally realized, to be closer to her. She blinked, her nose twitching a bit. "Then sleep, dummy." She muttered in gentle response. She glanced down at Goldie again, before sighing, laying her head down and stretching her hooved legs out, leaving their shoulders just touching. "M' not going anywhere. Promise that." Sam replied quietly, her tail twitching for a moment, before lying still. Not like she could be sneaky and grab another touch with a tuft of tail, really. Damn deer tail was shitty for that kind of thing. "SPEECH" Re: FIND ANY WAY TO YOUR WILD HEART / sam - bubblegum - 01-22-2020 Re: FIND ANY WAY TO YOUR WILD HEART / sam - deimos - 01-27-2020
Danger was something that Sam had had too much of in her past life. The travel from California, all the way to Georgia. It hit her now, the distance they traveled, the people they met, killed, passed dead bodies- it was nerve wracking, the feelings it brought back. It made her sick, didn't it? She grumbled softly, reaching up to rub her temple for a moment. The soft chuckle of Goldie brought her stable again, like Dean's back did. It brought her back to reality, back to feeling and back to the moment in front of her. She looked at her, giving her a tiny, tired and achingly longing smile. More friends, something more then friends. The loss of Dean had been a wrench in her plans, that was for sure.. But Sam really didn't make plans. She wasn't organized enough for that. But it wasn't like Sam was dumb enough to miss the looks that Goldie threw her way. There was longing, yearning there too. The genuine smile after her protecting statement, the deep trust that she wasn't sure how far it truly ran, how far that Sam should hope it did. She was never sure, really, of what the situation truly meant. It was like a dance, a cadence even, between Goldie and Sam so often it made her head spin. Her heart, too, where she stood beside Goldie- friend, or closer? Friend, or closer? It seemed she didn't have to answer that. A warm touch, a curl of a paw over Sam's smaller and more damaged form. Her ears relaxed for a moment, and her breath held as she leaned into Goldie. Intimate touches was something she barely shared, so she reserved it. Dean was special, Aurum was protective light she needed when she returned, when she truly needed it. The question posed made her pause for a moment, uncconsidering she needed to answer when she was leaning back in return. Her head turned for a moment, tucking as much as she could before those antlers of hers would poke at Goldie. "It's perfect." She replied in a muffled tone, thanks to being stuffed inside of a certain tiger's fur. "SPEECH" |
