Re: gentle heart — joining - imperia - 05-05-2018 [align=center][div style="max-width: 600px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 9pt;"]It is safe to assume that Imperia is not like most newcomers. Not to say that she is any better or worse than whoever might have undergone the joining process before her, but there is no denying her careful attention to each and every person with whom she interacts. Sterling eyes shine with interest, making careful note of every unique marking and accessory, and her almost comically large ears pricked to catch every word. Unlike those who pretend to care about meeting others, or even those who simply float on with a minimal "hello", Imperia is genuinely interested in getting to know everyone. It is important to her that she takes the time to listen to everyone and make sure that everyone knows that they are worth attention. The doe is tired, bleeding, and still recovering from the loss of her friends and family, and yet, in this moment, the most important thing to her right now are the people before her. So when the male finally seems to realize that Imperia addressed him, her expression only seems to become warmer. In fact, the same glow from before seems to return to her pelt. As delicate as that faint halo of light around the moon, her alabaster pelt shines like diamonds encrusted in the snow. Peri does not even notice his social awkwardness (and if she does, she does not mind at all). It would have been much worse had he not even spoken a single word; therefore, Imperia is extremely grateful that she is not doomed to suffer in uncomfortable silence. "It is wonderful to meet you, Bastille," responds the lovely creature in an equally beautiful tone--like Spring personified. It's clear that she means her words from the way she (quite literally) sparkles. Ah. "We." Peri notes the way he glances to Suiteheart for help. That and his lack of "I" leads her to believe that although he, too, brought up the idea of a tour, that he is uncomfortable with taking on that task himself. It's a little disheartening, but she tries not to take it personally. Overcoming her timidity is always a struggle when it comes to meeting others, so the doe does not hold it against anyone else who might struggle socially. "That would be wonderful. Anything helps." she giggles softly at his slip-up. It is evident from his expression that Bastille did not intend to include profanities in his response. Luckily, Peri is not one who is easily offended. "It's beautiful," hums the creature in response. She is doing her best to maintain her warmth, but is it clear that the fatigue is finally getting to her. Her legs nearly buckle as she struggles to stay standing, the blood continuing to flow, albeit noticeably less than when she first arrived. "I do not wish to be rude but..might someone show me to someplace where I can rest?" It's all she can do to not collapse. The polar bear did notice the way the doe lit up as she heard someone say something in her native tongue, and the large creature made a mental note to try and study more. If she could make the deer feel more at home, why wouldn't she try? Plus, it would be a fun hobby. "Three years next March," she commented. Albeit, she was somewhat baffled the girl had guessed she and Margaery to be married. Suiteheart lifted her eyes from Imperia as the winds picked up. She didn't need to turn around to know Bastille had arrived. These days, he seemed to be the walking personification of the winds of change. It was interesting to say the least. It also invoked sympathy within her, for she knew the boy had troubles controlling his powers. She smiled softly at him as he greeted the newcomer and went back and forth with her. A large but gentle paw found its way to his shoulder to steady and reassure him after he looked at her for help. Poor kid seemed to be struggling. Social interaction was not his forte, but he did try. He tried damn hard this time, she'd give him that. "I know Bast offered it first, but I'd be more than happy to head your tour. But first, let's head to camp, you look like you're gonna fall over at any minute," Starstruck Guardian rumbled. [color=#73B1B7][b]"I can carry you, if you'd like?" |
