Re: I mean I used to feel so sure [o, at the border] - Vathmos - 01-06-2020 Vathmos' eyes did not leave Snarl as Wormwood spoke. She flicked her ears in his direction to listen to him, standing with her tail up and squaring her shoulders. Her laughter ceased, and she let a line of drool drip from her mouth. "An escort would be fine." She said, eyes still not leaving her fellow hyena. Vathmos heard the hints of a growl, and gave her jeering chortle in response, at a much lower tone. A bit. Yeah. Maybe. Vathmos wasn't too sure about that. She had Aurum here, and food, and a home, so she didn't really have an advantage to leaving. If this other hyena didn't like Vathmos being here, she would have to force Vathmos out. She glanced up and down. She could take her, absolutely. Wormwood wouldn't let this other hyena kick her out anyways. Maken-Kimel? Vathmos' head tilted in the slightest, brow torquing in confusion. Her name? What about her name? What? It sounded like Gnollish, but it was off somehow and she didn't quite understand. Her name didn't mean anything, at most, Vathmos' lack of title designated her as an exiled. She would have been Vathmos of the Spotted Hide tribe, but she lost the right to that title. This hyena was not like her, and Vathmos wondered what Snarl did to get herself here. Hyenas lived and died for their tribe, they didn't just leave willingly. At least, never to Vathmos' knowledge. Hyenas needed companionship to survive, and life was about survival. One of those scars had to mark her as an exiled, didn't it? She stood straight as Snarl passed her, lips rising to better display ugly teeth, ready to growl or snap at her as she walked by. Vekkteman. Clanless. She knew that one. Vathmos' ears drooped and her mouth closed. She felt shame hit her in the gut as she watched Snarl disappear into the wilderness. The Spotted Hyena's bite marks marked her as an exiled. The first one was clearly displayed her on right shoulder, along with two new ones circling her neck. Discomfort washed over her, as the taste of slave blood rekindled in her mouth. "Nevermind. I'll just go back myself." She didn't to deal with the right now, and certainly not Snarl. She was going to grab some food and go back to her house. With that, Vathmos dashed off, disappearing in the underbrush. ━ [b]MY SKIN IS A STORY┆LONELY. CLINGY. HATEFUL. ━ |
