Re: valkyries || open, joining - london r. - 05-04-2018

As her clanmates arrived the girl felt herself relaxing slightly. Her sleepy eyes had not really registered that the other could possibly be a threat, but as soon as she had begun to register that, she was glad to have Killua, Jacob, and Mel around. Had it been just her and Harrison, and had this stranger become dangerous, things may not have turned out very well. She would have done her best to protect the kid, but she had a habit of bleeding profusely, even from minor injuries. That, combined with her lack of combat experience could easily get her killed. And yet somehow she was the only one of her family left still standing, how ironic, and terribly sad too. Fate must have made a mistake there, it should not have been so kind to her when the others had deserved better.

When the stranger finally responded, his response was unique to say the least. Most people did not just choose not to reply, how peculiar. It seemed at that moment the clouded leopard decided she wanted to know more about this stranger. He seemed a little antisocial, but that did not stop the girl from wanting to befriend Kratos. So when he stated that he was going home, the girl found an opportunity and took it. There was no specific location that he was calling his home, actually he was rather vague, so that meant he may not even have a destination and was looking for a home. It sounded plausible, at least to her it did. "How about here? Snowbound could be your home. Unless of course you already have a place you're trying to find." the girl would say, her voice still rather friendly even though the others seemed rather wary. The girl's British accented words reflected her hope that this guy would stay, and her smile betrayed her anticipation.

If someone was to say that him and Kratos were similar in some way, Killua probably would have been immediately pissed at that notion. Sure, the two of them were probably killers to a degree, but the assassin had always considered himself to be the worst of the worst. He had killed more than any warbound or anticlan combined, and that was certainly not a title that he was going to let others know about him either. The assassin had no reason to try and justify the things that he had done in the past, because it had been through the manipulation of his family that had caused him to be what he was right now. While Kratos had a goal when it came to killing those that he did kill, Killua never ended up having that goal in his life. It had all simply been about payment and nothing else. He had done the job that he was tasked with, without really much effort in the end. Killua had no reason to really want to argue with his family because he trusted them. And even now, deep down, he cared about his family to a degree. Did he want to see them dead? Not exactly. He just wanted them to have a lesson taught to them so that they wouldn't forget how they had betrayed him. Killua didn't hate his family over the fact that they were killers, as that was the only life that he had ended up coming to know. Instead, he hated his family because of the lack of freedom that they offered him. When he joined the clans he was able to see how no one was stuck in the camps unless they were injured themselves and had to rest. It made no sense to him as to why his family would try and keep him sheltered from the world around him. He got a wakeup call when he finally decided to try and leave his family once and for all. Killua didn't want to stay with them anymore, and even if they refused he would have fought his way out. Which he had done, attacking his own mother and brother in order to get away. They were probably pissed at him for stabbing them, but he could care less about how they felt about him. Sooner or later he was going to be dragged back to that family, and he doubted that there would be anyone that could stop them. The clans were still weak after all, no matter how much he was starting to care from them each passing day. They were weak, and wouldn't be a match for the likes of his family.

The one thing that Killua hated about Kratos now, was the factor that the other was looking down at him. Like he was some child that deserved to have a lecture of how he should speak to those that were stronger than him. Killua knew that he was more than capable of killing a bear. He had slain dragons. Mythical creatures. He wasn't about to discriminate against someone that was obviously a threat and that was trespassing. Killua's eyelid twitch with aggression at the other's words. Others huh? "Bullshit. I'm always around at the borders and my senses are sharp enough to keep track of who comes in and out of the clan." The assassin almost spat the words toward the bear, not really caring if the other agreed with him or not. His metal claws flexed into the ground, his short temper definitely getting the better of him. When the other said that it was none of his business, Killua's jaws went slack for a moment, before clenching again. "Nani?" Killua growled toward the bear. How was it none of his business?! Was the other daft and blind? Or was he just an idiot when it came to what territories actually were? Most animals knew a territory marker when they saw it, a territory marker being a universal sign to stay away from their land. "It is my business old man because if you haven't realized we live here. Or are you that idiotic?" The other was getting on his nerves, and it seemed like the assassin was just asking for a fight. He wasn't like the rest that lived in Snowbound. He wasn't welcoming, far from it. He was suspicious and didn't want to take any chances. he knew that the other had a pack on his back, and he had no idea what was in those. Probably not something good if he did start a fight. The bear's name was Kratos, which the word really meant nothing to Killua, as most names were names unless he knew them. Others started to arrive, but Killua's attention never turned away from the bear that was much larger than he was. He lashed his short tail behind him, but he was glad that at least Mel was around. Would she fight with him if the bear did attack? She was larger than he was, and he had lethality that he could use at any moment. Probably a good combo if a fight did break out. "Well then you should have walked around instead of walking straight through. You're old enough that I would think you would realize that you wouldn't get really far. If you aren't going to stay or seek shelter get lost." Killua stated, his voice calm instead of growling this time. He didn't like the idea of London waiting to keep this guy around. Sure, Kratos could have some use as a meat shield, but would the other even listen to what they had to say? Not likely. The other seemed to have a thick head and thought that everything revolved around him. Which in theory, was exactly how Killua held himself.
