[div style="width: 480px; height: auto; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 13px;"]Hm, not surprised by that. Admittedly, maybe Crowley had projected a bit, for just a moment. Crowley, for one, spent too long questioning things. How did it work, and why? What caused these variations? What made this place safe, and why did it stay that way.
Gradually, Crowley was relaxing. He didn't mind talking to people -- in fact, he kind of .. enjoyed it. He liked people, and he liked how strange they were. And, anyways, Snarl really didn't seem to know what to make of it. A temporary peace, then -- minus Crowley's usual paranoid thoughts.
"Nice guesses!" His grin sharpens. She hadn't been right, and he didn't bother to hide it, despite his praise. Questions, questions, questions. He's so fucked. Maybe Crowley wasn't hiding the demon thing, but he hadn't openly admitted it, either. He sure as hell wasn't gonna start now! "Nope. I mean .. i've always had them, but they're .. different. Haven't seen normal people like this til' now," Crowley pulls his wings tighter against himself, unable to help himself. Maybe his answer was a bit nonsensical, but -- well, Crowley was a shit liar, and shit at being evasive about targeted questions. It didn't help wings were such a big theme. He'd only started bringing them out recently, and, like his eyes*, he was a bit .. touchy .. about them being adressed. Marking him of angel stock, but demonic black.
He never did like reminders of his demonic nature, despite his fondness of his wings aside from the whole .. color thing.
*artfully hidden behind his sunglasses, and to an even higher degree,

[div style="width: 480px; height: auto; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 13px;"]Crowley could tolerate some curiousity. A lot of it, in fact -- if he were in the loop, he may have mixed feelings on her methods. As was, he was just slightly nervous about the stream of questions, and impressed by her persistence. He'd give her some points. If he could force anything other than awkward half-truths, that was.
"Ah,'" Floundering a bit. Pace was picking up. Crowley wasn't one for exercise, true, but he had long limbs, and pretty impressive stamina. Why the hell were they going so quick, anyways? "Well, I can certainly say I've seen plenty more than you have," He grins charmingly. Evasive, hopefully. He's not sure why, on that one. He'd made references to centuries of life, before, unprompted. What's changed now?
And, oh, that's not quite what he meant. Crowley supposes it's what he deserves gor being absolute shit at half-truths, though. Lies, in this place, would just come back to bite him.
"Oh, to each other, they are," Crowley grins wolfishly. He might've said so already, Crowley didn't stand out all that much to the average person, here. Wasn't that something? ... Right. His wings. He'd implied his wings were different. Uh. Roll with it. "Mh. Imagine them as a reflection of the self. Kept 'em hidden for a long time," TOO MUCH, TOO MUCH. Better than admitting the flight thing, but there was some solid truth there. Angel stock's wings did, after all, reflect them, their state of being. A bit too .. complex for Crowley's tastes though. God forbid Snarl chase that line of thought.

[div style="width: 480px; height: auto; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 13px;"]It was simply fortunate for Snarl how much Crowley loved the curious ones. Maybe he wasn't a huge fan of it being directed at him, but, well .. it was fascinating to see where it was brought, wasn't it? Improve his evasion skills, maybe.
"Don't doubt that," He's still grinning. He never stops grinning. Three years wasn't a long life, but with their lifespan, they had to do so much in so little time. Even quicker than humans. He was still trying to pace himself down, to flow better. "That makes two of us,"  Six thousand years of being stuck in the middle of human atrocities. Crowley probably had more downtime than her on average, however. Lazy. Make of that what you will.
.. She's calling it interesting. Oh god. Oh fuck. Crowley's ears turn nervously and -- she drops it. Crowley will go so far. It's not a secret, see, but .. well. Crowley was a demon. Demons weren't good, demons got hurt. Demons had ulterior motives, and wanted to corrupt you.
Crowley was on vacation, for however long he was allowed.
"Bad ones," Toothy, now. Employees going rogue, being unable to use miracles. That was the real stuff, though. That alone was bad, see, but not enough to permanantly ward nayone off if they really wanted to go. "Lots of which were wrong, or dramaticized, of course. Figured it'd get me a bit of a, ah, vacation," He was a bit of a runaway. A rogue. He had no problem admitting it, at least in private.
He'd be dragged back kicking and screaming someday, see, but Crowley didn't mind being labeled as such. Get all the hellish rebellion out of his bloodstream while he could, see?

[div style="width: 480px; height: auto; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 13px;"]Time was a strange subject for Crowley. It came with being immortal, of course -- but, well, if you thought about it .. Crowley was born at the beginning of the universe, but the chances that he'd make it to the end were slim to none. And Crowley was fine with that. He's not sure he'd want to, anyways.
"I didn't even hear about that part, to be honest," Crowley huffs a breath of laughter. Angel stock fixated on wings quite a lot, so it'd been somewhat jarring to see that part had been left out, out of all things. Probably, they just didn't know -- saw some other mutations. "And I'm pretty sure I'm the exception, not the rule on that. Theirs are more like if you give an animal proper bird wings," Crowley's physical wings resembled a crow's, yes, but it was only an approximation. His true wings couldn't manifest in a physical space. They took after a bird's to better abide by this plane's rules -- so that, if Crowley weren't a demon, and could actually fly, he would be able to. Even still, as a mere approximation, they were the realest part of him. After all, it was just sort of like ... shifting appearance and matter, see? Into something conceivable and real. Crowley considers saying something more*, but ultimately decides against it. They were already questions edging too close to home, and in depth answers would bring up the whole .. metaphysical thing. The whole thing about Crowley's true form.

[div style="width: 480px; height: auto; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 13px;"]To be entirely honest ... Crowley didn't generally mind questions. He liked curious people. Even if it was about him -- that was a little jarring, and Crowley was revealing far, far more than he really enjoyed. ... ... Though. He didn't hate it. He didn't think that she had anything terrible plotted, but Crowley was sure that he could probably handle it if she did. Wasn't anything stopping him from returning his wings to where they come from.
"Bit complicated to explain, to be entirely honest, especially if you're not in the know," Crowley would've shrugged, if he wasn't already using his legs. That was the sort of conversation you would have when you weren't jogging -- face to face. Demonstrations. They said a lot of things, after all -- the color of his wings marked him a demon, his single pair marked him low ranking*. The sleek and shiny appearance showed personality, and the fact that his feathers fell out pretty frequently -- well. That was important, but Crowley didn't particularly want to read into that.
*at least among angels -- got complicated, with demons.
There's a long moment of silence when Snarl asks her next question. He doesn't ... mind people knowing. It's not such a big deal to reveal it, is it? His direct answer wouldn't admit a lot, but he's sure her resulting questions would. His demon status isn't a secret, and it's not his problem whether or not she knows, or figures it out from his answer. It wasn't even .. demon specific. It was just sort of ... outside of this earthly plane, which would probably be alarming to her. A big step up from winged animals, even. But it didn't have the same sort of stigma as demons do. So, He picks up pace, and, if allowed, will jog alongside the hyena.
"Physically, no. Look a lot like crow wings," He explains. To show, Crowley extends the wing opposite to her to its full width as soon as he sees a chance -- they really were rather large, his wings. He pulls it back in fairly promptly, not willing to risk bashing it against a tree. It really was kind of fascinating, the explanations behind all of it all. "These're more of .. an approximation of what my real wings look like, though. They don't really translate well onto, well -- this," He makes an awkward motion with a wing, presumably motioning to himself. Oh god, oh fuck. Looks like this particular can of worms is open now -- it really is a fascinating conversation, Crowley thinks. It's just ... a slightly uncomfortable one. Admitting more than he has to anyone, but, hey, she was the one who asked, wasn't she? It's not his problem if she can't handle it, since she was apparently fascinated enough to ask so much.
