princes don't become kings - joining - darci - 10-21-2018

[div style="margin: 0 auto; width: 70%; text-align: justify;"]A pounding headache held him captive, one that seared behind his eyes and across the sides of his head. He tried to ignore it to the best of his ability for he had suffered a lot worse than this. Sapphire-hued eyes scanned the horizon, paws kicking up dirt as he shuffled along. The past few months had been a complete and utter haze. It appeared his quirk had vanished without a trace. Was it possible to loose a quirk? Under certain circumstances, yes, but All Might convinced himself that it was simply lying dormant until it was absolutely needed. Unfamiliar with these parts, he would admit that he was lost, but he found no one to seek help from. While he retained memories of his life before, they were vague.

Perhaps he suffered from memory loss, to some degree. While that was a mere theory, he did not put much faith into it. All Might could remember bits and pieces, it was just that the dots needed to be connected. His body suddenly stopped, snapping him out of whatever daydream he had been encased in. The blonde lion looked up. He could tell this was the border of the group he had been in search of. Drawing in a silent breath, the male sat down, tail curling around his paws. They would be here soon, at least, he hoped they would be.

/ dad might!! Welcome.

If anyone would come to idea of seeing a lion at the border, one would assume other things.  Fin sauntered over towards the border, not really expecting anyone there as one might.  The brown tabby lynx point raised metaphorical eyebrows in the general direction of the blonde lion.  " 'Ello? Can I help you sir?" they spoke once they were close enough to look at the lion.

At this point Fin had seen an angel crawl from a crater, and watched a scuffle happen on the border so as of right now, this was relatively tame.

The last time Bex had been near the border an argument between Sunhaven and an Ascendants patrol broke out... and it wasn't pretty. Even Bex, who was usually rather calm, found herself getting angry. At least when checking the borders this time, there was no Ascendants in sight. Just Infirmaryward, who seemed to be greeting someone that was unfamiliar. A visitor or a new joiner, maybe? He didn't seem like any sort of threat, so it was likely one of those possibilities.

The creature was a lion - much, much bigger than Bex was, though that didn't intimidate her. The dawnguard put on her usual friendly smile as she approached the two, halting near her clanmate and finding herself gazing up at the lion. After offering a quick "Hey" in greeting, she kept her silence, tipping her head slightly to one side as she waited to hear what this guy's response would be to the question that had already been asked.

LUCERYS VELARYON // M, 20 M/O // SUNHAVEN

"Welcome, sir! Name's Lucerys." Lucy snickered as he arrived, the chipper griffon hopping around before settling down finally to sit next to Fin. The little book nerd, the guy was quite the sight, in his opinion. But really, the lion stole the whole limelight right now. He looked pretty buff, it was kind of attractive? Too bad he was usually the top and not the bottom.

Enough of the sex thoughts, though, Lucerys focused on reality as his talons tapped patiently against the ground, before dipping his head in greeting to Bex finally. Yeah, had to be nice. he had to play the nice guy.

WHY SHOULD I PLAY THIS GAME OF PRETEND?

Ichigo had a decent track record when it came to larger Felidae species. He own species could be considered to be somewhat in the middle mark when it came to size. Cougars usually being around the size of a leopard, but it also depended on the area that the cougar lived on how much they would end up growing. Ichigo himself was considered to be the over-sized version of his species, being slightly on the larger spectrum. Not when it comes to weight, but more when it comes to height. His height brings him up to the level of that of a jaguar, but his weight class isn't even remotely close to that species either. Not that size really matters to the wildcat, but in battle, it could mean a lot if the smaller opponent doesn't have access to a lot of powers in the end. Ichigo had his fair share of going up against lions and tigers. Most of which usually kicked his ass if he didn't have his sword with him. That seemed to be common to Ichigo though, that he would always end up with some sort of injury, and then come back a couple weeks later completely fine. It was basically his trademark in the clan that he had come from. One that he didn't hold with high regard, as compared to most creatures he hated the scars that he bared on his body. It just meant that there probably could have been something tone to keep him from getting that scar in the first place, but instead he got the scar because he wasn't strong enough. Something that he had learned from his mentor the couple months that he had been with him.

That didn't mean that he was impossibly strong, he had his own limits and with his growing age he was limited with what his body was capable of doing. Although the body that he was in now looked like it was only three years old, two years younger than what his soul actually was. Ichigo wasn't to the point of being old enough that he would notice problems with his joints, but he knew it would eventually happen. After the events on the border recently, the Shinigami had taken part in making sure that he was patrolling the borders both with his body and his powers. The wildcat wasn't going to let someone die again, not only because it meant more work for the Death God, but also because it wasn't right. It wasn't a corrupted spirit that was killing these animals, it was some sentient creature that was doing it and he intended to stop it. He flicked one of his rounded ears as he heard voices off in the distance, and decided that was probably where someone was waiting at the border. It wasn't hard to hear the armored cougar making his way over toward the group, the metal portions of his armor rattling slightly when he walked. The Shinigami came to the group, only recognizing one face and name. The rest he didn't know who they were, but that wasn't unusual as he had only been in the group for two days and already witnessed a massacre. The former clan leader sat slightly behind the three gathered Sunhaveners, looking at the lion with a neutral expression. Ichigo rolled his shoulders as he adjusted the large blade on his back, raising one of his paws to adjust the metal rope that held it to his back as well.

[div style="margin: 0 auto; width: 70%; text-align: justify;"]Five minuets had gone by, then ten, and nearing the fifteen minuet mark did he spot someone approaching him. All Might was rather patient, so he did not mind the wait. He had nothing better to do, anyway. The headache had started to subside, but a dull, pounding pain was still ever persistent. After getting accepted would he go out in search of some pain killers. Hopefully they would give him a few, but, if not, he would be alright. Blue eyes drew down Infirmaryward, his tail tip tapping against the group. "My name is Toshinori Yagi," he would refrain by going by 'All Might' for he knew trouble would come if that name got passed around. "I'm here to join." His voice was rather stern and intimidating, but anyone could hear the friendliness that saturated his voice. All Might was a rather mellow and calm individual, for the most part.

He looked to the dog, examining her for a brief moment. With a nod of his head did the return the greeting. The next creature was one that caught his attention. While anyone new to this... World would be taken aback, All Might had seen far crazier and more extravagant, though, most had rather malice intentions. This one seemed to be quite the opposite, going by the fact that they had not gone after him yet or made any snide comments.  He finally looked to Ichigo, who appeared the remain silent as well. They were not a very talkative bunch.

"Oh, ya are?" Came the woman's voice, slightly cheeky as she came forward toward the group of animals. Her tails shifted against her flank, gaze shifting over those that were already there. But she was making sure to scent the area as well just to make sure one particular smell wasn't there. But it seemed everything checked out and this guy was a friendly. Or at least she hoped that he was a friendly. After all she wouldn't want to let someone in that was bound to cause them trouble, not with days being as turbulent as they had been. But she'd trust first and deal with shit later on. The hellhound looked upon the african lion with intrigue in her gaze as she allowed her thick form to settle down with the rest of them. There was a slight up turning of her lips as if she knew something that he didn't and there was a good chance that she did but she was merely being friendly. "Well, ya are welcome tae be a part of Sunhaven. Do ya like tae sell stuff? We are a merchant type group and we pride ourselves on tradin'. If ya wand ya can become a craftsmen ya self and open a shop tae sell ya wares tae our allies. Oh, by the way name's Marina, or ya can call me Monroe. Whichever tickles ya fancy."

It was a rare occurrence that he came across anyone that had remotely a Japanese name. They were rare and far between, but it wasn't something that bothered him either. Ichigo was already used to being the only cougar that really ever existed in the clans. It was certainly a strange state to be in, that being a cougar meant that he was stuck in the middle ground when it came to size. Ichigo had no intention of becoming something that was bigger, because if he was his armor wouldn't fit anymore and he wasn't about to let that happen either. The over-sized wildcat was fine with the way he was, and his shape-shifting didn't necessarily like him either so he wasn't about to try his chance out with any of that. Either way, Ichigo's native language was actually Japanese. Something that others may have a chance to hear if they listened carefully with the way that he talked, barely an accent anymore as he rarely talked in his native tongue. It was almost sad but he didn't really care all that much anyway. If someone wanted to talk in English it was easier that way as most creatures were capable of understanding that language. It had been a difficult learning curve on learning English. He may have been lucky in the factor he was forced to learn around when he was considered to be an apprentice before he entered the clans.

He had a great mentor, and one that had taught him a lot in his life and would show him what he truly was. Even if the process had nearly gotten him killed, he had never blamed his mentor for that. Since he had arrived at Sunhaven, the wildcat had no need to speak in his native tongue, and no one really questioned the way he introduced himself or why his name was different compared to so many others. Not that most animals would, even with the group that he had come from they never really said anything or asked about where he came from. Having been attacked by dragons in his current form, the likes of a lion wasn't really all that intimidating to say the least. He flicked one of his rounded ears as the lion looked at all those that were gathered around him. Ichigo didn't know if the clans around this area acted any differently from the ones that he used to and this was the first animal that he had come across the border. He didn't want to overstep his bounds, and besides, he was exhausted anyway. Not having slept since he had arrived on the territory after the recent murders. When he heard the other's name, Ichigo's ears perked slightly. He figured that the male in front of him may even be a little bit older than he was. But it was blatantly obvious to Ichigo that this guy was Japanese. At least, from the other's name, and if he wasn't this was going to be slightly awkward.

A small tired grin spread across his facial features as he looked at the lion, raising one of his black and tawny paws to offer a small wave to him. "Yo. I'm Kurosaki Ichigo. Hajimemashite[sup]1[/sup] Yagi-san." Over the years chastised for not using honorifics, and so he had simply gotten used to using them. Although, he didn't use the more formal version of the honorific, and seemed to have it remain somewhat casual. His bi-colored eyes turned in attention to the female that he recognized being sick not too long ago. What in the world? He listened to the way that she spoke, and the female sounded similar to the way O'Fraiser talked when they were around each other. And he was able to acquire the female's name. Marina. Would he remember it? Only time would tell. Ichigo still had no idea that the female was still the leader but he had only been here a couple days now and hell had broken loose a long time ago.

[1: Nice to meet you]

Re: princes don't become kings - joining - darci - 10-23-2018

[div style="margin: 0 auto; width: 70%; text-align: justify;"]A trading group? That sounded almost nice. While All Might did not have any experience of selling and trading with others, he did not see why he could not start now. What trade could he go into? He thought for a moment before realizing this was not an appropriate time to be thinking about this. "Thank you very much miss. Though I don't know much about trading, I would like to learn," he rumbled, flashing the girl a smile. They all seemed nice which made him happy at his choice to come here. Open up a shop. He would make sure to look into that. Eyes drew back to Ichigo as the cougar spoke.

Like the other, Japanese was his native language as well. While he rarely spoke it, it was in his artillery. All Might generally stuck to speaking English for everyone else here spoke the language. That, and he did not feel like translating everything he said. "Kochira koso yoroshiku," the lion shot back at the cougar, the smile still planted across his face. All Might could already tell he was going to like this place rather well.

(translation: nice to meet you as well.)

So he was joining. Well, that was always a good thing! Still keeping a steady grin upon her face, Bex listened as Marina told their newest member a little bit about the group and their trading tendencies, her gaze flickering between the two for a moment before she got the chance to speak up once again. "Welcome to Sunhaven, then. I'm Bex," the dawnguard responded in a calm tone as she gave the lion a quick wink. He seemed pretty chill so far, which the collie appreciated. They needed more people like him around, though fortunately for Bex, Sunhaven was pretty calm all around. In fact, the way they had greeted her in such a manner was the reason why she had become fond of this place so quickly.

Bex's ears perked up as she listened to the two wildcats conversing with each other in a language which she didn't know. She must admit, not being able to pick up on and understand a single word which they spoke caused a feeling of confusion to arise within her, but at the same time it was kind of cool. She only knew language, and a tiny bit of Cantonese, really just basic phrases though, since her mother never really took much of the time to teach it to her when she was younger. Even if she had made the effort, Bex wasn't even certain how cooperative she would've been with learning it, anyways.
