RAISE HELL --- keona, quill, bryn - SÉAMUS - 10-16-2018 Enough time had passed. No other attempt by the Typhoon had been made as of yet. The faerie had heard of Pincher's retaliation, but nothing more. The Pitt member had been taken during the raid anyhow. Otherwise, nothing. No one likely suspected the endfield either. He'd played his part in the fighting, kept the Typhoon from getting their hands on every single captive. A fact Séamus suspected would bite him in the ass the moment his twin saw him again. Not a matter that needed dwelling on this second. The Irishman had spent nights memorizing the pattern of the night. The locations in the fortress the Pittians most often stationed guards, how often they moved, the direction they'd be facing most often. Random chance always existed, but the Faerie knew it was well past time for them to try leaving. Time to make good on his promise. Follow me Sibi. Closely. The endfield sent a mental suggestion, one by one, on the nearest guards, sending them into unconscious sleep. Precious time gained. Less chance of being spotted until they were well out. The vulpine turned back, keen sea-green eyes locked on the smaller figure of his neice, deciding to nudge her in front of him a little. Be really quiet. Not for the last time, Séamus felt relieved with their mental connection, saving them from the dangers of vocal communication. He led them to a halt once they were a good distance from the fortress, still within the confines of the desert. A moonless sky hung above them, the only light the stars. Still, the pirate wished for more cloud cover. This barren landscape felt too open. // [member=265]Keona.[/member] , [member=2078]QUILL H.[/member] , [member=2591];;bryn harbringer[/member] "word of mouth there's a snake in the garden" —-- Séamus Ó Faolán Re: RAISE HELL --- keona, quill, bryn - Keona. - 10-17-2018 [align=center] Quiet. Not a problem. The tiny feline barely made much noise as it was, more so when she desired silence. Even so, it felt like her heart could be heard across the entire fortress. Her paws tingled. Her pale sea-green hues gleamed lumionously in the dark, excited and frightful. Home. Going home. Dutifully, the child let him go first out of the fortress, into the desert itself. Her light paws stepped slowly and softly over the sand, holding onto the memory of the shore. A sandy place with salt in the breeze. A better place. Home. When he pushed her forward, to guard their rear no doubt, the fae tried to walk a little more confidently. Still quiet. But unsure. Keona just walked straight, until her uncle brought them to a stop. Was he looking behind them? Checking for pursuit? The striker's ears perked, her long tail slowly arching into a near question mark-like shape. The desert's size a mystery to her, she shuffled her paws. It had felt long when she'd been taken. Then again, she'd been alone and frightened; the day had stretched consequently. Her ears caught nothing but the wind. What's wrong, Uncail? It felt too early to rest. They needed to move. tá mé i dtiúin — ✯
Re: RAISE HELL --- keona, quill, bryn - ;;bryn harbringer - 10-17-2018 ♚ nighttime was normally the time of the day when bryn felt most comfortable being outside. there was no societal pressure or urge to hide when most were asleep. nothing but the shifting guards that patrolled the temples to keep her aware of when to return home. normally she wouldn't mind the company of her father or sister if they were up at the time, but bryn couldn't deny the solitary was... comforting. at least then she didn't have to worry about anyone else around her. she could wander as she willed and not feel the weight of her emotions on her shoulders. there was nothing in the desert at night to overwhelm her; not that there shouldn't be.
bryn had been very lucky thus far that she hadn't run into the occasional feral coyote or mountain lion that might be interested in picking her up for a meal. she almost thought there had been some sort of predator about, seeing the guards slowly collapse onto the sand in a soundless sleep. bryn halted, her ears perked forward and whiskers twitching. she couldn't sense any intruder by scent, only making her further uneasy. the ragdoll continued to move on to investigate, perhaps this wasn't an intrusion? maybe... "what are you doing." she demanded, eyes narrowed suspiciously at the two suspects. "i'll get my papa, I wouldn't take one more step if I were you." her heart began to beat against her chest, and the sand around her paws coiled up her short legs as earth elementals gradually grew out of her control. so far acting offensively; giving her hardened protection around her chest and stomach. "speech" Re: RAISE HELL --- keona, quill, bryn - SÉAMUS - 10-17-2018 Seriously? Séamus had never hated running into a child more than he did in that moment. The endfield's eyes darkened, a stray spark of electricity flying off his scarlet fur. "Am I to assume you're threatening a clanmate?" He inquired icily. "Use your nose, kid." The Fae could care less if the girl did or didn't care he was a "Pittian", he didn't take well to threats. Whatever. Doesn't matter now. "Please do," the vulpine growled, "run to your father before I get angry. If you think I'll let you threaten me and my niece, you're. Dead. Wrong." Stay behind me, Sibi. She can move earth. Séamus scowled, fluffy tail swaying. His talons flexed. "Leave. Go about your own business." For added measure, he tried turning the words into a mental suggestion. The girl did not frighten him but she was increasing the threat of being caught tenfold. No matter. He felt certain he could fight his way out if the desert, so long as the whole of the Pitt didn't get involved. Still. He had Keona to protect. To get home. // Mobile "word of mouth there's a snake in the garden" —-- Séamus Ó Faolán Re: RAISE HELL --- keona, quill, bryn - COSMIIX - 10-17-2018 Quill didn't leave his kids unmatched especially with so many people being captured and tortured, he had seen what had occurred to Rocky and well, frankly, he wasn't going to let that happen to either of his little girls. The direhound wasn't far away since he knew that Bryn often felt more comfortable at night whilst everyone slept, he knew that he would eventually coax her back to bed so he could sing to her yet his ears twitched the moment he heard her speaking. His pupils narrowed into dangerous slits as he lifted his head from his metallic limbs, he was laying a ways from his daughter but just close enough to make the forms of two individuals. Séamus and that slave girl, Keona, the one Valkyr had brought to the Pitt. As,much as he would have loved to let them leave, he was certain that Stryker wouldn't be happy in finding out that one of his trusted Marauders had let a slave leave with another Pittian. Quill immediately rose when he could heard Séamus speaking to his daughter and the the along his spine would lift up as he stepped forward from the shadows as he hovered protectively over his daughter, Bryn. His mixed gaze glowed in the dark as a soft growl erupted from him "I hope ya weren't planning to make yer stay so short, Seaman." His lips peeled back as he added with a snarl "Or even thinking about laying a damned claw on my lil girl or we're gonna have some fucking problems." Quill could easily end this, he had a bit of an advantage with his physical height and strength, and well, it only improved when someone he cared about deeply was being threatened. Much like Bryn, he had a few powers up his sleeve. Like father like daughter. He would could feel bits of sand starting to rise slightly from the ground, his gaze locked onto Séamus as he put a paw in front of Bryn in a way to shield her "I can't let ya go or Stryker will be mighty upset about yer leave." With that said, he aimed to throw some sand towards Séamus in an attempt to get it in his eyes and momentarily blind him. It was just a little sand but he hoped it did the trick as he felt a snarl ripple from his jaws, he took a step forward leaning in close enough to attempt to bite down onto the faerie. /mobile but sorry for the late reply aaaa Re: RAISE HELL --- keona, quill, bryn - Keona. - 10-18-2018 [align=center] Keona moved behind her uncle quietly, blinking. Sounded like a kid, like her. Nonetheless, the fae's claws flexed, the fur on her neck rising. The once still wind flared to life around the tiny feline. "Go away." She just wanted to go home. Sick of all these Pittians pretending she was something that could be owned. Controlled. Pirates were free. The Fae were free. No more. When Quill's voice reached her ears, she snapped. "Táimid ag dul abhaile!" Instinctively, the child attempted to slam both Quill and Bryn backwards with a harsh gush of air, trying to defend her uncle from the larger's attack. No thought involved, just feeling. tá mé i dtiúin — ✯
Re: RAISE HELL --- keona, quill, bryn - ;;bryn harbringer - 10-18-2018 ♚ "i'm threatening a traitor." bryn corrected sharply, looking between the two fae's suspiciously. she did not know who keona or séamus was, but the former held the same scent the slaves had. she could only assume this was a rescue attempt, but she couldn't understand why. this was how their laws worked in the pitt. if he preached about not taking action against unruly co-habitants, then he knew very well this was not allowed...
that's why he's angry. it took a moment for her to make the emotional connection between the two as the enfield had spoken. they were family... bryn couldn't allow herself to take pity on the unfortunate situation they found themselves in. there were rules in place. the rules kept them safe and alive, and she could not allow them to be broken over a family issue. at least, not when she could be punished for it herself. séamus' words would have worked if bryn hadn't had the power to manipulate minds on her own. it created a barrier around herself, though it was not as strong as the creature's own expertise. bryn took a step back, trying to fight off the urge to turn around but faltered, continuing to back away. her movements only stopped when she heard quill, shaking her from the trance. she felt a wave of relief as quill took his place above her, lifting her chin in a rush of confidence as her father spoke. she glanced up at him as he leaned forward, assuming their scuffle would be quickly diminished before keona shouted something in another tongue, and suddenly the girl was shoved back. she coughed as dust got up her nose and coated her throat. the protective shell around her chest had absorbed the pressure of the fall, but broke in consequence. bryn's eye's slowly began to glow an eerie pearl white as she stood back on all fours, her claws digging into the sand and a the ground beginning to shake beneath her. a bubbling line of sand headed directly toward [member=265]Keona.[/member] and broke into a circle around her before being shot up into the sky and attempting to encase the girl in hardened clay. "speech" Re: RAISE HELL --- keona, quill, bryn - SÉAMUS - 10-18-2018 "How very frightening," the faerie lamented wrly, a wicked gleam dancing in his eyes. Children in most cases were a no-go on Séamus's hit lists. In this case, he felt willing to make an exception, if only he did not have to deal with her father. Said father played with cheap tricks, just like him. As such, the Irishman barely flinched, ignoring the sting in his eyes and dropped low to a crouch, and rolled. A second later he rose to his paws, blinking at Keona in surprise at the sudden wind. Air elementals? Since when? Focus. Watch out. Séamus knew shielding Keona physically was not an option, not on a two-on-two situation. If Bryn had fewer powers perhaps, but he had to focus on one opponent. She'll be okay. Kid's not in full control of herself. Nor was, he admitted, Keona. Unfortunate, although it made things more even. "You're not stopping us. I'm taking her home," the pirate replied coldly. With bared teeth, the vulpine aimed to hit Quill with a blast of electricity. A stunning blow, ideally, while he kept low to the ground, prepared to move. ... Think of rain, Sibi. A hopeful guess. "word of mouth there's a snake in the garden" —-- Séamus Ó Faolán Re: RAISE HELL --- keona, quill, bryn - Keona. - 10-19-2018 [align=center] Her ears flicked back. So a fight then. Keona's heart slammed into her chest. From day one, the child had veiwed fighting as a less than ideal situation. Something to avoid. The stryker was no physical combatant. They're not giving us a choice. Fight or stay and suffer the consequences. Not an option. The faerie lowered herself, ready. Her eyes useless, but her hearing and sense of vibration... Excelled. She barely heard her uncle's warning, this time purposely surrounding herself with powerful gusts of wind as a shield. Unfortunately, Keona had not a single clue what to do now, simply urging it to continue spinning around herself. A small tornado. No doubt sending sand in all directions. "I said go away!" She hissed, rerouting the small funnel of air straight for [member=2591];;bryn harbringer[/member]. Not an entirely stable... Creation. By all accounts, the odds of the windstorm veering off course - and potentially causing problems for the other two - were somewhat high. Keona's aim significantly depended on her sense of hearing and smell. Successful or not, the child readied herself for more. Her fur stood on end, limbs unsteady. Already, the tiny feline felt herself wavering. What had she done exactly? Her father or uncle had never done anything like it... Focus. This did not end until they escaped. Alive. Home. She barely considered her uncle's, brows creasing in confusion briefly before placing the entirity of her focus on Bryn. . . . Rain? tá mé i dtiúin — ✯
