loyalty to the king — dual-joining - darci - 09-16-2018 [div style="margin: 0 auto; width: 60%; font-family: georgia; font-size: 13pt; text-align: justify;"]Perhaps he was a bit over his head with this one. Victor had not even been in The Ascendants for more than a couple days before he decided to try this. His first home was so.. Sparse that he needed some form of stimulation. Perhaps taking on another responsibility would help. The cream and silver hound managed to find his way to the border, gem-like eyes scanning over his horizons. He could feel an odd tugging sensation deep in his body and hoped it was not the blooming of a cold or an illness such as that. Victor would manage for he had been through much worse. As a former sled dog, a simple cold was to be taken lightly, given the situation, of course. Taking a seat at the border, he curled his tail around his paws before expelling a sneeze. Damn allergies. Re: loyalty to the king — duel-joining - Grey - 09-16-2018 He wishes that whatever was affecting him was just a cold or a fever, perhaps even just a sign his body needed rest. It was quick, however, to tell him otherwise when his cells begun to rearrange himself. Every part of his body repulsed by the idea of existing, wishing to evaporate into an abyss. When they made up their mind to go, disappear and tear themselves apart, suddenly they change their mind. They smash back into each other, zipping back and forth in multiple planes unable to decide what they wanted to be. He wouldn't mind it if his neurons weren't screaming all the time. If there wasn't any pain, maybe he would be fine with simply vanishing. Sure, there are plenty of things he still must complete in this world but maybe, because of the groggy influence of painkillers and the constant pain of his situation, Bakugou finds comfort in disappearing. He remembers, since first arriving in this world, he used to be afraid of sleeping. He was scared that if he closed his eyes for too long, he would return to nothingness - the state of both life and death where Bakugou's own mind was put to a close, forgetting his own existence and forgetting the very meaning. It is natural for him to be afraid of the dark, the dark where he has been drawn into the unknown and forever lost in a void of energy. Nowadays, his numbness only makes him tired and irritable.
A sneeze. So normal yet so suspicious to the lightfurred reaver whose sanguine eyes immediately snap towards the source's direction. A smell in the air, one that seemed to belong to an enemy. Bakugou had gone out of his way to remember the smells of different groups, note their relation to The Typhoon after he had so poorly represented the island in front of the Captain. He couldn't help himself. He just wanted to voice his opinion and his anger got the best of him. Damn anger. But, upon seeing the canine seated calmly at the border, Bakugou senses every reason to be angry. And yet it was those damn painkillers that made it hard for the male to consciously form a snarl upon his face, far too tired to express just about anything. His whiskers wriggle at the male's scent again, the scent of Ascendants clinging to his skin like a vengeful ghost. "I'll give you five seconds to explain why the fuck you're 'ere," the reaver snarls. The Ascendants and The Typhoon are enemies, he reminds himself. Maybe there is some current neutrality between them but as of this moment, the male doesn't care. All he wants to do is out his anger, his frustrations, his pain towards this stranger for merely being present at this time of day. "you don't need to rush your explanation, don't worry, this one's just antsy." as linux spoke, the child side-eyed the boy with a peeved expression plastered to her maw. it was tamer than her earlier words - mostly because those ones had earned a disproving remarks from older members. not that linux respected authority: but they were family to the child. "too antsy" "what's your name? i'm linux roux." introducing herself courteously, curious pink eyes gazed over victor's form excitedly. what an interesting lad. (welcome to typhoon!!) The endless Void, The gazing abyss, The bottomless ocean of horror...It coiled itself around your tender heart well theres really no need for him to say anything. baku and Linux seemed to have it covered in varying degrees of hospitality anyway - but he can't fault his fellow Reaver, the ascendants are not allies after all at least pincher had not reneged on that lately to his memory - so the dragon's presence is a mere threat from behind the two typhoonians, watching quietly with an eerie stillness. Re: loyalty to the king — duel-joining - darci - 09-16-2018 [div style="margin: 0 auto; width: 60%; font-family: georgia; font-size: 13pt; text-align: justify;"]The husky emitted a small laugh. It seemed wherever he went was he met with hostility. Was there something wrong him? Victor highly doubted it. No had yet to shrill and flee in horror, so, bu his standards, he was doing a pretty okay job. He thought, "is there something in the weather making everyone cranky today?" Maybe with the seasons changing was everyone getting antsy about the holidays. "What if it takes me six seconds?" Victor sneered, deciding it was best to have a little fun taunting the other over dismissing the demand. "Name's Victor. I'm here to join. I'm also with The Ascendants, but it's not very enthusiastic over there, so here I am." Saying it was unenthusiastic was just the tip of the ice berg. The dog had shown up at their borders, got yelled at by someone, and had not seen anyone else since. Maybe he should have stayed back in Alaska. Dealing with his siblings harassment was a hair better that what he had seen already. The aggression did not turn him off, no, just... The culture shock, simply put. Cocking his head slightly to the side, his eyes drew towards the other two that arrived, his attention mainly focused on Linux for she had addressed him. The male chuckled, "I can see that. Ever tried getting him a punching bag or a pillow to yell into?" He rose to his paws, shaking his coat. "Victor." He proceeded, "It's a pleasure young lady." Finally, some civility. Re: loyalty to the king — duel-joining - PINCHER - 09-16-2018 CAPTAIN PINCHER ROUX | resides in the typhoon and is the demigod of rough seas. he is a muscular dark gray jaguar with frigid glacier blue eyes, marked with scars and glowing tattoos. he is the head of the roux family and is currently single. he is known for being a charming strategist with dark secrets. be cautious around him. —— ⚓ ❝ YOUR HEART IS A BOTTOMLESS ABYSS — DEEPER THAN YOU'D LIKE TO ADMIT ❞ As much as Pincher was lax about most things that happened, he was strict on alliances and politics that he held for others. Ascendants were currently on his very bad side after keeping his children from him and it frustrated him greatly when the scent would be caught by his senses. He wanted to tear every single starfucker apart, limb by limb, and it was hard to restrain his temper as the male came to arrive to see what was happening, his brawny lean figure stalking out of the lush rainforest with his upper lip curled and his dark ears drawn back, clearly not pleased at the idea of an Ascendant member wanting to join them. "No, you are not allowed here. If you didn't know, Ascendants are enemies and that means you can't join us. Hop off, mate." Pincher stated flatly, ice lacing his tone as the storm gray jaguar became impatient by each passing second. ( mobile ) ❝ THE TYPHOON — CAPTAIN — IMMORTAL — DEMIGOD — FATHER — THE HERMIT ❞
Re: loyalty to the king — duel-joining - darci - 09-16-2018 [div style="margin: 0 auto; width: 60%; font-family: georgia; font-size: 13pt; text-align: justify;"]Victor had been unaware of the hatred between the two clans. He could sense the tension in the air, and simply put the two and and two together. Over what the two hated each other for, he could not care any less. It was not his fight. His expression did not change much at Pincher's words, but he did tilt his head back and hum, thinking. Four. Four people had come to meet him here, all seemingly to be lively souls. One, only one person saw to him at The Ascendants. It seemed destiny had its own path for him that he was unaware of. Convincing himself of one or the other was not difficult for he had no connections to either of the groups. Nonetheless, he was too tired to make the trip all the way back to The Ascendants. "And if I drop my alliance to them? They're not exactly a charming lot." Re: loyalty to the king — duel-joining - OWEN. - 09-16-2018

"Can I chase 'em off? Although I can agree with the kid, the Ascendants suck ass." Came the bark of a certain asshole of a german shepherd, his large form brushing sides with Luciferus promptly in friendly greeting before he moved to sit behind Pincher, a grin on his face. The raptor tamer didn't like the Ascendants now, not with how shit was supposedly going there, but he'd deal. This kid just needed to make his mind up. "You accepted me, sir. It'd be kind of hypocritical not to accept this guy in. How about I threaten him with the raptors to test if he's a spy?" Snickered Owen softly, his tone sarcastic. He joked like this way too often, his humor was way too dark at times. He liked to form opinions on individuals rather than groups, but maybe that's because he always used to be a traveller. He was new to settling down long term, trying to be loyal to a whole group rather than a select few people. It sucked. He hated following rules for the sake of following them. The hellhound trotted forwards after sensing a commotion, the tension drawing him in like a moth to a flame. He arrived shortly after Pincher, catching his leader's words and then the stranger's reply. It was easy to tell what was going on from that short snippet of the conversation, and Luca's good eye flickered from Victor to his captain and then back again. "That should be fine, I think," Luca said, tilting his head. He turned his gaze back to Pincher one final time. "Is that fine? I think it's fine." He always appreciated new faces. It would be a shame if this guy left before Luca managed to get a good taste of his aura. He turned his head to sneer subtly at Owen as the raptor tamer approached, lip twitching ever so slightly to reveal venom-coated fangs. "Shuddup, you, leave em' alone."
Re: loyalty to the king — duel-joining - Character Graveyard. - 09-16-2018 The smell of the Ascendants brought the Striker to the scene, a small frown and a suspicious look in his crimson-eyes. He would lift his ears upward upon hearing the sneeze coming from Victor. He was well aware that the Ascendants were enemies of theirs- so what could they want? Kirishima would approach the scene, deciding to stand beside Bakugou, as he warily eyed Victor. He wanted to join? The young male would blink before he decided to speak. "I hate to be paranoid, but he could possibly be a spy from the Ascendants. Why don't we test him to see if he'll remain loyal to us or if he's truly a spy and still loyal to the Ascendants?" Taking a brief moment to pause from speaking, Kirishima would glance in Owen and Luca's directions. He doesn't like the sound of the raptor tamer letting his raptors go after this joiner, as that would mean a slow and painful death for Victor. Sure, the dinosaurs could quickly eat him, but they also might like eating slow. He didn't know anything about dinosaurs, after all. |
