Cleanup - beach cleanup event A - Morgan - 08-11-2018

Morgan stepped onto the beach with a sigh of relief. On his back was a tall stack of empty flour sacks, all of which were taken from the farm near town. The samoyed dropped the pile on a flat rock right near his home cave, then sat in the middle of the open. The afternoon sky was a beautiful pinkish shade - perfect for the beginning of a new era in Tanglewood.

Fortunately, the dog had gotten a chance to drink plenty of water between the meeting and his arrival at the beach, so his throat felt far less irritated. He barked out, "Come, Tanglers! It's time to pave the way for the future! It all starts here!" He smiled wide, his tail wagging hard and kicking up bits of sand. "There's some bags right over there - take one, and pick up any trash or driftwood you can find. When we make this area nice and clean, we can start fishing for quality food, and we can even set up some beach parties after that!"

trash cleanup? malphas would usually grumble and groan about doing chores, but morgan was his friend- and his leader. malphas didn't know what happened to beck, but morgan had to be leader for a reason, right? morgan was charismatic and suited for the position. still, malphas longed for answers. the transition between leaders went smoothly, but he was still confused. what had happened? he'd do what morgan said nonetheless.

he approached the samoyed. "hey." he greeted, voice blunt, as he grabbed a bag. "if i pick up the most trash, you have to make me a sawbone," he joked idly as he begun doing his job, although he found it boring. still, morgan's whole modernization idea felt like a good thing, so he would gladly do whatever the dog told him to do. he was putty in morgan's paws now.

Re: Cleanup - beach cleanup event A - toboggan - 08-11-2018

It must’ve been a rough patch of days for Morgan. He recently got back from traveling all over, just in time to be promoted to leader. Not only that, though, as in the last meeting, the pooch had revealed all the rank changes, promotions, and news he had been stirring up. Which had begged the question: where the hell was Beck? He kinda just ditched, it seemed. Oh well. In the wake of all the confusion, Morgan was doing the best he could, and that was all Tanglewood needed right now.

Cleanup wasn’t a job that suited Leroy. Not that he was lazy, but similar to cooking, the mutt was much better at breaking than fixing. Yet, once again he had to step outside his comfort zone to help the folks here, this time clearing all the trash from the shore’s water. The wolfhound paced towards the bags, grabbing one, subsequently gazing into the offal-brimmed water. "There’s a lotta shit here!" he vulgarly thought aloud, staring at some lone driftwood floating along. It would be work, yet that’s more than anything that happened since he had gotten here.

Not waiting for Malphas or Morgan to begin, he would stride towards the shoreline, grabbing some sea glass for himself first, then starting the process of filling his bag with waste.

[align=center][div style="borderwidth=0px; width: 65%; line-height:120%; text-align: justify;font-family: verdana;"]While she was relatively new to Tanglewood and hadn't know much about this place before now, Ophelia was definitely excited for this change. Fishing was something she actually very much enjoyed, even if she'd hardly had much time to do it for pleasure instead of for survival before, and knowing that she would get to fish again was a very welcome thing. Feeling the water and sand under her paws, the soft breeze in her fur and feathers, the tensing of her muscles as she watched diligently for a chance to strike... All of those things were wonderful escapes for her.

Without wasting a second, she approached Morgan's pile of bags and offered him a small smile and a nod before picking one up and trotting toward the beach to work beside Leroy and Malphas. Getting to work, she began to shove pieces of trash and wood into the bag to be thrown away. This part wasn't that pleasant, but she was too happy about the end goal to care much about having to do some simple chores.

"I think that the fact there is a lot of shit here is why we're participating in this great group bonding activity." she said, voice as deadpan and stoic as usual even if there was a hint of humor glimmering in her eyes.

[div style="margin: 0 auto; width: 55%; font-family: arial; font-size: 11pt; text-align: justify;"]Aya very much liked this idea. She was something of a neat freak when the opportunity was given - despite her lab being messy with blood and other bodily fluids - so she strode to the shore cheerfully, starting to clean with unmistakeable enthusiasm.

Re: Cleanup - beach cleanup event A - Leonidas - 08-12-2018

GRIM REAPIN'
LEONIDAS V.C. — MALE — TANGLEWOOD — ROUGE — HARD DIFFICULTY
leonidas would not have minded bringing up a fancy chair, sipping on whatever kind of drink as he watched the slaves do all this work for him until the everything was spotless; and every time one of them would fail to meet the hourly criteria, he would make their head roll and play around with it in front of the others as a sign of motivation to give all their strength and soul into their work. oh wait, that was probably from a show he's seen. doesn't matter. anyway, leonidas found this as something he probably wouldn't be doing, but he decided to do so anyway. when he appeared, his gaze fell upon the pinkish sky of the sunset. for several brief moments, he would aimlessly stare at this sunset; clearly entranced by it for some reason. his fur, during the last of the brief moments, began to rise as pressure built. before it was too noticeable to others, leonidas heard the call of their new leader claiming that this is the new beginning to tanglewood. he sounded like an authentic pioneer at heart with those words; makes the demon wonder more if this is going to be a suitable clan for him.

anyway, leonidas was ready to begin at any time; making sure that he doesn't lose himself again from staring into the sunlight again. he doesn't want to get blinded now.

"Yeah, Morginator. You best be getting your paws dirty with us lackeys." Arrow snorted, lighthearted tone giving away the fact she was only joking, as per usual with the praying mantis looking little shit. She had finally recovered from her earlier hangover, good timing too. She wasn't about to explain to Morgan, "hey, I can't do manual labor with the rest of Tanglewood because of my own stupid decision".

She pulled at one of the bags, frowning at the driftwood and trash strewn upon the shoreline. First of all, this was a disgusting display, really. She hadn't come here often, but now it was obvious, the blatant disrespect for the shoreline in the form of this mess. Second of all, under all this mess had to be a pretty beach, somewhere you could take someone and chill out, right?

Re: Cleanup - beach cleanup event A - Morgan - 08-12-2018

Morgan was ecstatic to see so many Tanglers gathering to help. Funnily enough, Malphas' suggestion was not far off from what the samoyed was thinking already. Without a Sawbones in place already, the Medical Team seemed particularly lacking. Malphas had the most experience, making him the ideal choice even if his personality was still rough around the edges. He gave the Medic a smile in response to his request, but didn't say anything.

Aya, Leroy, and Ophelia began their own jobs next, performing well beyond the dog's original expectations. A part of him was worried that most other Tanglers would hate to have to spend time cleaning like this, yet it seemed that the group's overall enthusiasm was quite high. "Thank you all. You're doing great!" They had already made plenty of headway, having cleared out a good amount of trash and leaving a small part of the shore completely clean.

Vigenere's voice startled the General, who felt his muzzle heat up at the feline's arrival. He pressed himself against his boyfriend and lowered his head until it was close to his. "Of course. What kind of leader would I be if I didn't help out?" He giggled at Arrow's tongue-in-cheek comment, stepping over to the rock to pick up a pair of bags for himself and Vigenere. Noticing Leonidas' presence, he turned to him and nodded. "There's an area just on the other side of the cave that's got some litter, too. It'd be great if you and Arrow cleaned up over there." He motioned toward the cave, whose backside had a small accumulation of driftwood along with what appeared to be an old boot.

Turning back to Vigenere, Morgan gave the Captain a peck on the muzzle before taking some steps toward the shoreline. "This spot looks like a good place to start, my Vigenere."
