BURY THE HATCHET IN HIS SHOULDER — MEETING 08.06 - PINCHER - 08-06-2018

CAPTAIN PINCHER ROUX | resides in the typhoon and is the demigod of rough seas. he is a muscular dark gray jaguar with frigid glacier blue eyes, marked with scars and glowing tattoos. he is the head of the roux family and is currently married. he is known for being a charming strategist with dark secrets. be cautious around him. —— ⚓
❝ YOU SHOULD SEE ME IN A CROWN — YOUR SILENCE IS MY FAVORITE SOUND ❞
Life was always busy. It was filled with an endless array of possibilities for one to grab and focus on, willing to dedicate one's time on their decisions. Pincher was one of those creatures that had that mindset but tended to get sidetracked with manners of the heart. With his marriage, Pincher had been rather busy trying to spend a decent amount of time with Jacob. The fear that lingered with the haunting memories of his past marriage taunted him even after sealing the deal with his husband, mocking him in nights where nightmares scratched at his door, begging to be let in. But he tried not to let it control him and take over his mind completely because he loved Jacob even if it was difficult for him to show it sometimes. He loved his life despite how much work he had to do that his time with his family tended to suffer an impact of his absence, his duties of leadership forcing him to stay on top of everything. Not that he minded since he always enjoyed being able to aware of what was happening and it did make sense since it was his crew, they needed him to be around and to support them if anything happened. You would think being a demigod would offer you an unlimited amount of energy but it didn't. Exhaustion was still a bitch and it seemed that it had taken over his form when he had been staying up all night preparing for the meeting.

He enjoyed meetings, he really did. It gave him time to review over what had happened and where it was happening even if it may not have been there for said events. Pincher tended to lose the ability to be out more freely due to the paperwork that would pile up and become mountains on his desk if he left them unattended for too long. Meetings allowed him to be able to state what was happening to the crew, to be able to see the new faces that had decided to join them as well as anything else that was considered important to announce. Luckily, a decent amount of equilibrium between drama and calmness was something that the Typhoon always had. One day they would all be relaxing without a worry in the world and the other day, they would be covered in battle wounds from a raid. It was exciting and Pincher enjoyed the pace of how things went despite some events being negative upon them such as a few he was going to announce in the morning. Or so, he had believed he would have usually done in Sunday early mornings.

But, he had fallen asleep. His energy burnt out and him collapsing on his desk without even realizing it, soft snores coming from the dark jaguar. As the sun begun to rise, he was oblivious to the fact that he was late to his own meeting until his shifting head had bumped into his mug that was mixed with cold coffee and vodka. "W-Wha-?" came the dazed male as his head snapped up, his icy blue eyes twitching as he tried to wake up and then he noticed the sunlight outside, his scarred figure freezing as he hissed "Shit!" and pushed himself off his desk, oblivious to the fact that some of his children had put sticky notes on his back. He grimaced as he stepped out and the intense summer sunlight struck his face, his thin black pupils fluttering to the ground as he stumbled towards the cave entrance that leads to the aquarium. He glanced up briefly to signal to the monkey in the crow's nest to sound the alarm, the familiar conch sound blowing in the air for everyone to hear. With that, the male entered and reached the throne, settling down before noticing that some sticky notes had fallen off his back to lay on the ground, some holding hearts while others were saying "kick me" or "i'm smelly", causing Pincher to softly snort before turning to focus on getting the meeting started as more arrived.

"Well, let's get this party started, eh? Sorry for being late, I...was uh, tending to stuff." He lied, his ruffled bedhead fur showing that he had been slumped with sleep. "But, let's jump into who has decided to join our wild crew today! Welcome Malkyn, Ikaia, Finnishwars, Kirishima, Gabriel, Freya, Theseus, Doktè, Desperado, and Minigan. Snare as well as the fucking dino egg kids popped in so welcome to you guys. You all seem like decent folk or so I've heard so my crew better welcome you in and have cuddle parties with ya, if not, I'd be down to." He greeted the new joiners, glad to see that there were faces that he recognized but other ones that he still needed to get to know in his spare time outside of work. He flashed a charming smirk towards them, allowing members to greet their new crewmates before returning to what needed to be announced. "I would also like to give shoutouts to members that have shown incredible potential. Freya, Snare, Kazumi, Rosemary, Fischer, Goldie, Bakugou, and Desperado. You have all been contributing and around, keep it up." He gave a light nod towards the direction of the general crowd as he knew that some of them would most likely be attending the meeting, hopefully all.

"Promotions are the hot ticket of the meeting so I'll get to it. Lucifer and Papercutter are promoted to Striker and Vandal are promoted to Privateer. These three have been focusing on the crew in more ways than one and I believe they deserve it. Congratulations and drink up." Pincher pushed forward the three cups filled with the bitter yet relaxing green liquid known as Kava tea, his large white paws making sure not to spill before he leaned back onto the throne to wait. Once they were finished, the demigod cleared his throat, a small huff causing a tiny spark to bounce off his nose before he began. "Weekly tasks are being handed out so if you want to fucking do something, get off your lazy bum and get one. The Scavenger Hunt is still open for a third-place winner so for anyone interested in receiving 20k, head on over to get the prize. The final event for Calypso's Carnival is still going as well if you want to join us to get the Tempest to sail out. A new Soothsayer and a group of Sages have been promoted by Rosemary and if you wish to congratulate them, feel free to do so. I would also like to thank everyone that participated." He was glad that his sister had picked very good candidates from the tryouts but he believed that anyone that had been willing to participate deserved recognition for trying.

The storm gray jaguar flicked off a sticky note from his tattooed shoulder, one long claw piercing the paper before swatting it away as the male was used to now being seen oddly during meetings as his electric blue gaze flickered to each face as a serious air now filled the aquarium. "Now as you may have heard, Rosebloods have come to offer a possible alliance with us. If you have anything to say about the matter, we are having a discussion for it. The majority wins and we move on, is that understood?" Pincher rumbled, his onyx black ears twitching as he sucked in a small breath from all the speaking as he then added "The winners of the choice awards have been announced so congrats to anyone that won and also thank you to the ones that contributed. Meanwhile, I've decided to make a mass meet and greet event that is mixed in with a potluck. If you want to bring a certain dish/drink or try something new, get cooking and don't poison any of us, please." His voice was traced with a dry tone of humor as he knew that some members may bring some weird shit to the event but it was better than nothing. Pincher then gave a small huff of relief as he realized he had finished everything he had to say before stating "Thanks for sticking around, this meeting is over. If you have anything to say, feel free to do so now." He stated, his broad shoulders relaxing as he was glad that he had not slept in too late. At least his crewmates tolerated his bullshit and that was good enough for him as the male hopped off the throne, mingling with the other pirates.

goldie, having been late to most meetings lately, made sure to show up early to this one. her papa made it even easier due to the fact that he was late. she sat down by herself, eyeing the male with a warm gaze as he began to speak. she hoped he liked the little notes she and her siblings had left behind, she loved to leave him little messages. she thought it was nice, especially with all the sticky notes he had laying around.

the girl listened quietly, keeping note of the joiners. she'd finally began to catch up to most of them, which made her feel a bit of satisfaction as she realized this. upon hearing her name in the announcements, her face would lighten a little. she was always happy to receive praise from her papa, it made her incredibly happy.

she was also happy about all those who also received shout-outs and promotions. the rest of the meeting was simple event announcements, as usual, and went by quickly enough. "great job, and thank you!" she would let out with a happy tone as he finished up.

"The endless Void, The gazing abyss, The bottomless ocean of horror...
It coiled itself around your tender heart."
"Thank you and congratulations" the great drake rumbled, reaching for the kava tea and politely sipping the liquid as Pinch went over the events - the rosebloods discussion interested him most if only because such political climates always did raise something of an interest in the back and forth of what could be achieved versus detriments.

Re: BURY THE HATCHET IN HIS SHOULDER — MEETING 08.06 - Character Graveyard. - 08-06-2018

A meeting? So a few days had passed by since he had left Snowbound. That wasn't too big of a surprise, to be honest. Time always seemed to fly by and nobody could stop it. Sure, it may seem kind of sad, but that's how life worked. You could have worked so hard for something and karma could change everything.

He was tired. It seems he had wore himself out from all the training he had done in Snowbound and yet it had all been a waste. He had trained himself in his maned-wolf body, but now he was a feline. That had made him feel frustrated. Crimson-eyes had landed on Pincher as he approached the scene where the Captain called everyone for a meeting. He would listen and give a simple nod of his head- before he had decided to make his way back to the main territory.

Re: BURY THE HATCHET IN HIS SHOULDER — MEETING 08.06 - CAESAR CIPHER. - 08-06-2018

ALL ALONE HE TURNS TO STONE !
CAESAR CIPHER. MALE. THE TYPHOON. OFFICER.
Damn, had it always been this hard to get up for meetings? Caesar groaned as he heard Pincher's call, and the mongoose slowly made his way over to the meeting area. He was still pretty damn groggy over sleeping, and whatever illness he caught definitely didn't seem like it was going away soon. Caesar had a hard time focusing on the meeting, but he did take note of the promotions that happened as well as the amount of joiners this week.

//congrats to those promoted!!

[div style="width: 51%; text-align: justify; font-size: 10pt; letter-spacing: 0px; font-family: georgia; color: #633c00;"]Ah, his first meeting.  The wolf puppy would creep up with the rest of his crewmates, lifting his pale eyes up towards Pincher as he listened in what was being said.  He was about to sit down with boredom but he heard his name mentioned.  Twice.  Snare would perk up, his ears up and optics big as he listened in.  A shout out!  He was contributing!  He was being noticed!

Snare stood tall and proud, his fuzzy tail wagging as he stared up with a delighted expression.  ”Thank you!”  His voice would be enthusiastic as ambition flickered in his eyes.  Ambition of a wannabe powerful member, especially when he would get older and more experienced.  ”Oh, um, and good for everybody else!”  His energy was high so of course he would congratulate his crewmates, his mood high enough to care.

(congrats everybody!)

Re: BURY THE HATCHET IN HIS SHOULDER — MEETING 08.06 - Grey - 08-06-2018

Bakugou hadn't attended the last meeting. He heard of what had happened, the welcome he received, but he didn't really care back then. Now that he was injured and still recovering, he was relieved of a few duties and thus had quite a bit of time to roam and wander. That, of course, was when he noticed the sound of the alarm followed by members rolling in to hear what Pincher has to say. He doesn't particularly wish to follow this mob mentality but nonetheless he his swayed and his legs bring him over, Bakugou settling quietly next to Kirishima with a signature scowl upon his striped features, red eyes glistening harshly in the light. Dino egg kids. Those utahraptors, huh? He somewhat wished they were dragons but he supposed no matter what he thought about them, he knew they were feral and wild. He would rather not have the inconvenience of them biting him. Then, next in the meeting, came something interesting and his blood seems to drain from his face. He was surprised. Pincher actually thought he had potential. Although this part of the meeting was likely for positive reinforcement, it hit Bakugou like a life-changing truck. He actually wanted to keep going, continue whatever he was doing because it was getting him recognition. For that reason, the ragdoll was almost like that a foolish child.

By the end of the meeting, of course, he simply nods and - only because he's in a good mood - says: "Congrats to those promoted."

Re: BURY THE HATCHET IN HIS SHOULDER — MEETING 08.06 - Verdigris - 08-07-2018

[font=trebuchet ms]It would not have been the first time the meeting was late on a given week, nor the worst; there was at least one case, Paper recalled, when a month had gone by with only radio silence. Compared to that, being a day late hardly mattered- it didn’t really matter which day the meeting fell on as long as it occurred once a week. Besides, as much of a roller coaster as the crew’s life was, meetings were hardly at the front of his mind or anyone else’s.

After the “hewwo” incident, the sticky notes falling off of Pincher as he arrived almost made Paper fear the worst. Once he figured out that the captain didn’t smell strongly of alcohol, though, he breathed a sigh of relief. This would probably be a fairly normal meeting after all.

There was a large amount of joiners once more- curiously, if he recalled correctly, at least one of them had been tortured here just a few weeks ago. How times (and allegiances) changed. Dismissing that thought, Paper glanced to his left to eye each of the newcomers as they were named, internally memorizing their faces and scents. He’d need that information later, he was almost certain.

Something about promotions was said, so he quickly turned his head back to face Pincher- just in time to hear his, Lucifer’s, and Vandal’s names. Excellent; as he had thought, he was on his way back to the top. ”Thank you,” he said, stepping forward to take the tea. After nodding in acknowledgement to the other two, he drank from the cup, savoring the familiar taste.

After making a mental note to get a weekly task, he listened in on the rest of the announcements. Sailing off on the Tempest had not been especially kind to his stomach the last time, but if he was going to try and rise further in the ranks, he would have to get used to being on the seas. Having a larger medical team was good, given how frequently they seemed to get injured.

Then came the matter of the Rosebloods, which he definitely wanted to give input on, and a potluck. He had never even tried to cook before, but there had to be something simple that he could put together for that, that required relatively little finesse. Salads weren’t that hard to make, and maybe he could throw in some meat with the vegetables too.

He’d figure something out. ”Congrats,” he spoke up after Pincher finished. With that, he walked out to start pondering ideas and gathering resources for the meet and greet.

Re: BURY THE HATCHET IN HIS SHOULDER — MEETING 08.06 - ROSEMARY - 08-07-2018

ROSEMARY ROUX
The meeting covered nothing but good news, really - something Rosemary liked about the current trend of this month. So far nothing went too terribly wrong (besides Goldie's injury but... Goldie got injured every month so that was business as usual). Still, as she looks at the members gathered around, she notices Vandal's agonized state. The ocelot starts to walk towards her sister, but hesitates; she'll do it after the meeting, she thinks. There's too many people around, and she really doesn't want to start a conversation in the middle of all this.
