LIGHT 'EM UP -- O, LOST/JOINING - guts - 07-07-2018 [align=center][div style="width: 51%; text-align: justify; font-size: 10pt; letter-spacing: -1px; font-family: georgia;"]Agent Maine was gone, had been for a while. What had taken his place was an empty husk of a person. It had been a slow progression at first, but it gradually picked up pace and now only bits and pieces of himself were left. His head still hurt as he woke up, even more than before. But at least it was silent. The AIs were being quiet now, and for a moment he thought he had lost them somehow, but then whispering started in his ears and he exhaled. He was both relieved and disappointed to hear them. Now that that situation was cleared up, he took a moment to glance around at his surroundings. He didn't recognize anything, which definitely wasn't good. From what little he could remember, the Mother of Invention had crashed, or something to that degree. His memory was muddled a lot recently. Or maybe the rough landing had messed with his brain. Either way, it was hard to focus through the pounding in his skull and the quiet mumbles of his AIs. Needless to say, he's stunned when he realizes that he wasn't in his own body anymore. He wasn't sure what had happened after the crash, but when he looked down, he definitely didn't see his usual hands. Instead he saw large paws, adorned with large claws that came to a prick point. That was new. Still, he couldn't focus on it for long. He was more worried about finding out where he was. Picking up the pieces of what remained of his armor, he managed to squeeze it onto his new form, sliding his helmet over his head with mild resistance from his muzzle. The male looked around once more, grimacing with pain as the AIs began to give him instructions, all having different commands for him. His ears began to softly ring but he quickly shook his head and started off in a random direction, spotting a marshland off in the distance. With nowhere else to go, he headed towards it, hoping to find some other Freelancers--though not for any good reasons. Kauko had mostly lingered near camp after settling in, occasionally wandering a few feet before returning. After a few ventures out, he decided that he wasn't getting anything done by hiding within camp so he set off to explore the territory more clearly. It was during this excursion that he spotted something white amongst the muddy terrain. He squinted his golden gaze, searching the creature for a clue to what it was. It was vaguely canine-like, with a... helmet? He twirled the lollipop in his mouth, watching as Vigenere confronted the other animal. With a click of his tongue, the young male shuffled over to Vigenere's side. He didn't have anything to add, so all Kauko offered the hellhound was a half-hearted wave of his tail. Actually, scratch that, he did have something to say. "So, can you see in that? Or...?" Kauko trailed off, his curiosity at odds with his disinterested gaze. He didn't know much about human items - the most experience he had with them were the foods they made and his hairclips. For all he knew the guy was blind as a bat in there.♔ what's up with your true feelings? Re: LIGHT 'EM UP -- O, LOST/JOINING - Luciferr - 07-08-2018 [align=center] But Heed this lesson well,
When the weak court death, They find it - shadowing the two was the largest resident of Tanglewood, ever the watchful shadow when it came to border meetings, the dark hellfire form of his pelt blended well with the dark marshes, only the slight glow would give him away if he were not careful where the magma vents slitted along his ribbed sides. [sub]TANGLEWOOD - REGENT - TAGS - REF (9FT) - EXTREME[W]isker[/sub]Still he silently followed his comrades, content to shadow and play background bodyguard to whom ever so happened to wander into their territory next - and this was just such a time, hm, a white hellhound sporting armour, intriguing. Fenris stayed quiet but stood to the back of the two much smaller tanglers, faintly Lurking behind Vigenere and Kauko - just in case - while they awaited an answer, head tilted and idly assessing the stranger, hm, helmets never left much to read but he'd once been used to going entirely alone off body language - it's what you got surrounded by troops in war after all. Still, Fenris simply played watchman for now. He wasn't sure what planet they had crashed on, and he wanted to find out quickly, as he would hopefully be at an advantage, though it depended on whether or not the other Freelancers knew already. He regards the smaller creature with a wary gaze, then turning to the other as they approach. Tanglewood. He had no idea what that meant, but it didn't really matter to him at this point. What did was finding his former teammates and taking what he wanted. The souls wouldn't collect themselves. He growls low in his throat, not realizing it could be taken as a hostile action. Then a small orange light starts to glow just beside his head, settled on his shoulder, the form of a monkey with wide eyes appearing. "Hello. I'm Sigma, and this is Agent Maine-" the AI is cut off by a sharp growl, the hellhound jerking his head towards him at the name. "I'm sorry. The Meta is what he calls himself. We seemed to have crash-landed here and were wondering if there was a place we could stay for a little while--and he says that yes, he can see perfectly fine," As Sigma speaks with them, Iota and Eta are speaking inside his brain, the fearful soul demanding him to get away and the happy counterpart chirping it's excitement. Behind his helmet he grimaced in discomfort, still not accustomed to having other voices in his brain. Soon, there would be more, if only he could find the others. Zimavich didn’t like him. The bear dog approached, releasing a growl in return. He saw the hell hound as a threat and naturally growled back, bearing his teeth at him and barking roughly. A challenge, perhaps? © madi

When the weak court death, They find it - Fen blinks at the AI - hm, so the hellhound couldn't talk himself, it would seem - before the much larger beast nodded along with Vigenere's words " you can stay among us if you need, though you'll have to abide by our rules while you're here of course" that was just common sense, same as if you visited a friends residence. [sub]TANGLEWOOD - REGENT - TAGS - REF (9FT) - EXTREME[W]isker[/sub]the war god inclined his head "Fenrisulfr Grimm, one of the regent's here - we can take you back to camp, tanglewood is rather dangerous for its wildlife and traps" he shot Zima a quick look at the dogs growls but unless the other did anything, fenris was content to leave him be and focus his attention on the hellhound and his, companion. Re: LIGHT 'EM UP -- O, LOST/JOINING - guts - 07-11-2018 [align=center][div style="width: 51%; text-align: justify; font-size: 10pt; letter-spacing: -1px; font-family: georgia;"]The male quickly noticed the other's unease, but didn't consider it much. He had no other way of speaking after a certain mission a while ago, so he'd just have to adjust to the AI's presence. He simply nods at the given introduction and rank, though he isn't completely sure what it means. He must have been in a higher command, then. Either way, though, he didn't have much business here. It laid elsewhere, outside of Tanglewood, luckily for the members. He probably wouldn't get involved much with them anyways, his eyes already scanning the territory for the best place to set up a discreet base. He didn't need anything big. The Meta's attention is grabbed back, however, the growl aimed at him naturally encouraging him to attack. But then he's stopped as Sigma says his name, his step forward paused as he turns to the image of the other animal. "Focus on the mission, Meta. He has no AI, he is of no use to us," it calms his nerves slightly, but the hellhound still isn't happy with the other creature, offering a simple lash of his tail before turning to Fenrisulfr. "We'll try not to cause any trouble," the monkey says, giving Meta a sideways glance. "And that would be lovely, thank you," inside his head, the other AIs are somewhat quiet, especially Eta with the vague threat of the other large beast. He wants to rest already, but he knew Sigma wouldn't allow that, not yet. TAGS 7/8/18: |
