For a few days, Luna had been feeling more pain in her stomach. As if the kittens were wanting out of her stomach. She had decided to stay in her room that morning, knowing that the children were coming.

After a hour or so, Luna had curled around two of the kittens, protecting them from the sight of the two other kittens, who had been stillborn. "Sylva." She murmured, giving a name to the kitten who looked like Zjarr the most. Her blue-gaze would then land on the other kitten and she whispered. "Pele."

Re: A MOTHER'S LOVE / open - Suiteheart - 06-04-2018

She seemed withdrawn, hurting. A knowing look had befallen the white feline more than once, for she had given birth herself and knew when the time was approaching. She had checked up on the Starstruck Guardian from time to time, hoping the other was doing well. And she was. That being said, sometime in the early morning, Suite had fallen asleep.

When she awoke, she could smell the two new arrivals. Excitement burst to life in her chest, and she hurriedly entered Lunafreya's room. "Oh, Luna, I -!" The joyous sound of her voice broke off as her eyes graced the stillborn children. A grave look passed over her snowy features, and a frown tugged at the corners of her lips. "Oh, Luna, I am so sorry..."

Suiteheart stepped closer, eyes now falling on the two surviving children. They were both precious. A smile quirked up one side of her maw as she repeated their names in her mind. Sylvia. Pele. Though she did not know them, she would grow to love them both. "They're beautiful, Luna."

For a fleeting moment, all she could picture was Jacky. She heard him laughing in childlike wonder, and for a brief second, she swore she could smell him. Her smile faltered for a heartbeat before returning stronger than before. She wouldn't be sad. Not now. [color=#99182C][b]"Do you need anything?"

Re: A MOTHER'S LOVE / open - BASTILLEPAW - 06-04-2018

AND I'M JUST A DEAD MAN WALKING TONIGHT
Pregnant auras were a curious thing. They didn't necessarily betray the existence of little ones right away, but Bastille found that in studying Luna and Margaery's auras, he could detect the emergence of separate ones the closer they got to birthing. It was... peculiar, but he appreciated the minor detail nonetheless -- it meant that as his mentor (or former mentor, he supposed) approached her due date, he was hyper aware of it, able to track her easily and to know that it could be any moment now. He may have overcome his need to stalk Luna every where, ensuring that Beck couldn't snatch her again, but at times like these that protective flare could emerge.

So, he was checking up on her constant, and when he realized that she was going into labor he camped out at her side resolutely, too stubborn to go anywhere. He could have gotten Rin, he supposed, but he didn't want to interrupt her quiet moments with her new children -- and her lost children, for that matter. There was little Rin or Rad could do for her in the middle of labor that she couldn't do herself, and therefore Bast stayed still, monitoring her aura and watching her clean her kits gently.

"They're nice names," he said quietly, once it seemed that Luna had settled slightly. He felt vaguely at peace here, in the quiet, but Luna tended to have a calming effect on him -- he would be interested to see her channel that kind steadiness towards some children of her own. He was studying the two kits, repeating their names to himself, when Suiteheart burst in.

There was a flare of irritation -- did she really think she belonged here, when she could barely function as a mother herself? -- but Bastille simply ignored her entirely, keeping his focus on Luna and the kits. He felt a vicious twist of protectiveness, as if Suiteheart might infringe of the kits and ruin them in some way, and he did acknowledge her finally when she asked if Luna needed anything. "She's fine," he said, flatly, "She has water and herbs." She doesn't need you.

Luna didn't mind the fact that Bastille had been by her side during this miracle. She knew her presence was always soothing to the Seraph, in good and bad times. She had turned her attention to Suite when she entered the room, smiling towards the Deputy. "Thank you."

Upon hearing Bastille speak flatly to Suiteheart, Luna would send a scolding glare in the Seraph's direction and a somewhat warning glance in the other female's direction. "I will not have any sort of fighting in here while my children are asleep."

★  WHEN MY HEART IS MADE FROM GOLD AND FORGIVENESS SEEMS TOO BOLD
Hazel had never witnessed a birthing before, and that wouldn't change now. She appeared after the kittens were born, following after Suite and, consequently, Bastille. She did her damnedest to ignore him and the quite hostility that was bared towards them, and grit her teeth against it. Hearing the chill in his tone towards Suite almost had Hazel opening her mouth to tell him that Suite could give comfort and advice - something Bastille was unable to do. But that was for another day.

She wanted to see the babies - the little people she could help raise, if Luna let her. Hazel had always wanted younger siblings; Mother would gripe and complain about how her failed litter would have been ten times better than Hazel, and all she could think was that at least there would be someone else in the house.

"They're gorgeous, Luna." Hazel breathed, lips curving upwards. Her awe and reverence towards the situation easily overcame her own issues, and she found herself wishing the babies could open their eyes now. "Congratulations. You're going to make a wonderful mother."

The world itself was cold, unlike the warmth she'd spent the past almost two and a half months in. Though in time, Pele would learn that the warmth in the world came not only from the sun and fire, but from those in it as well. Currently though, she could feel naught but cold and the weird negative energy coming from her future adopted aunt and uncle.

/oof im sorry this is short i dont know how to do tiny itty bitty children.

Luna had looked at Hazel as she entered the room, greeting the young female with a smile- as she looked upset at the sight of Bastille. "Thank you, Hazel. If you'd like, you can come closer to meet them." She welcomed, uncurling herself from around the two children so Hazel could go closer.

Luna would look down, upon feeling Pele moving. A bigger smile had made it's way onto her facial features and she licked the top of the newborn's head gently.

[div style="text-align: justify;"]It had been quite some time since he'd been around kids- or even seen kids, at that. If he had to guess the last time he had been around any sort of pups, it had probably been back in his pack days before he was taken to the Gizmonic lab... so... almost a year? Curious to see what the others were up to, the male had followed them, limping up near Suiteheart only a few minutes after Hazel had arrived. As he gazed at Luna and her two newborns, Joel was reminded how adorable they were- and so tiny too. It was hard to believe they would be all grown up in only a few months. "Sorry, I hope i'm not intruding... congrats on the newborns, Luna, they're adorable." The brown wolf said in his usual, soft tone, giving the guardian a small, bashful smile and waving his tail.

[color=#b14767] ❁  ❁  ❁
Part of her was envious of Luna- Margaery's own children were far from due and growing hungrier and hungrier by the day. Beastly little leeches they were, so innocently preying off of their mother's life force out of sheer necessity. She didn't hate them though, she could never hate them. In fact, she greatly admired their perseverance even if they could potentially kill her. But all that didn't matter, not when she had to welcome the Starstruck Guardian's children to the world.

She arrived just after Joel, oblivious to the tension between Suiteheart and Bastilleprisoner as she pressed against the former. [color=#b14767]"They're beautiful, Luna," Margaery offered with a slight nod, forcing a smile upon her face despite the growing feelings of jealousy within her. A strange emotion probably amplified by her pregnancy... it seemed as if the only thing she could do was ignore it. [color=#b14767]"How are you fairing?"

Luna offered a small smile to the injured male as he entered the room next, though he worried that he might be intruding. "You're fine. Everyone can have a chance to see them before I get some rest." Luna said, hoping to put Joel's worries at ease.

Then Margaery entered the room. The Starstruck Guardian would look up to the vampire female and speak. "I'm well. How are you faring?" The winged-serval would pause before adding. "I'll make sure my kiddos are there to greet yours when they're born. Perhaps they might even become friends."
