It's a good idea to leave your troubles— The nearly-silent sound of paws brushing through grass and the soft calls of birds was all that reached Dale's ears as he approached the large canopy of trees. "Diane, I am currently approaching only what I could assume is the described territory of The Ascendants." said the canine, pausing as he did, seeming to speak to another person and yet there was nobody there with him. The light furred canine peered forward at the expanse of tree's before him with curiosity clear on his face. "These trees, there's a mix of so many that I truly can't name them all." he commented, shaking his head. The hazel-eyed dog continued now to push forward, edging towards the border that signified the beginning of the territory. "Diane it is currently," Cooper angled his head towards the sky, "nearing the sun's highest point and it's very warm. Twenty-seven days into my travels and I believe I have finally reached my destination. For now I must patiently await the arrival of a member of the group." And with that, the canine sat and waited; watching the treeline for a wandering soul, passing patrol, or perhaps a cryptid of sorts. —at home when operating a vehicle. It was the sound of an unfamiliar voice that brought Margaery to the border, in a more cheery mood than she had been as of late. Pregnancy certainly had been dragging her through hell but somehow, someway, she had woken rather pleasantly that morning. [color=#b14767]"Name and business?" She inquired lightly of the canine, her stormy-blue gaze studying him with mild intrigue. Had she heard right? Had he been addressing some individual by the name of Diane? She peered past him at that thought, attempting to make out any other figure that may have accompanied him in the shadows. Joining in pairs or groups was not completely unheard of after all. She couldn't detect any other living person though and frowned momentarily. Perhaps it had been a whisper on the breeze then, not this male. Who really could say? Re: What trees have you got around here? || Joining - GORDON CIPHER. - 06-03-2018 It wasn't too long ago that Gordon was here at the border, wanting to join herself. She often came back to the borders, looking for her brother to see if he happened to find her. And still, there was no sign of him, but she didn't - couldn't - give up hope just yet. Gordon followed after Margaery, staring at her paws as she walked, though her ears were pricked to show she was listening into the conversation.

It's a good idea to leave your troubles— Cooper's head lifted as he heard the approach of another creature, his eyes landing on a feline that most likely toward over her species. One of the first things the canine would notice and take a mental note of is that she was with child. Not that it mattered much to him, he had no intention of flirting or fighting any of the creatures here. When the feline reached him and spoke her question, Cooper stood to his full high and dipped his head in greeting. "Hello, I am Dale Cooper and I'm here to join your well formed group. I've come on the word that I would be accepted." he said, voice pleasant but seeming to lack any proper passion. He surely hoped that the words that had reached him a moon ago would be truthful and not an awful trick to get him killed. Cooper saw the short feline following after Margaery and felt amusement blossom in his chest. While the munchkin was already short, this fact was only exaggerated when she was placed next to her tall companion. He didn't let this amusement show through, keeping up his polite facade. He did dip his head in greeting to her as well, though. —at home when operating a vehicle. A canine. Something the group didn't really see. The Ascendants was mainly full of felines, big and small, so it was good to see joiners of different species join. The pregnant serval had approached, taking a stand next to Margaery, her eyes on the male.
"Welcome to The Ascendants, Dale." Luna would say. "I'm Lunafreya, but Luna is ok. Would you like a tour or would you prefer to explore the territory on your own?" space

Bastille skirted around Margaery as he joined the group gathering, a faint thrumming in his veins keeping him alert. He wasn't really sure what the girl on the border had given him, but he was fairly certain she'd referred to this one as an 'upper' -- and he did, in fact, feel slightly less bitter and empty than normal. He flicked a brief glance over the newcomer as he stopped beside Luna, and offered a lazy smirk in greeting as he provided, "Cooper? Welcome and shit. 'M Bast." Deus, there were a lot of joiners as of late. The Ascendants was growing more and more each day; the rooms filled up faster, the hallways were more crowded. And now, there was a sudden buffer between her and Bastille. There were more distractions to pull her attention away from the simmering fear and anger that sat against the base of her skull, thankfully.
Hazel trotted over, late to the conversation as she took up a spot beside Margy. “Ave, newcomer. I’m Hazel,” The cocoa feline greeted, a grin sweetening her expression. “I’m sorry, I didn’t catch your name. What did you say it was?” She asked. (Mobile!!) Re: What trees have you got around here? || Joining - GORDON CIPHER. - 06-04-2018 "Ah, yeah, w-welcome." Gordon piped up, finally deciding to look up at Dale for a few seconds before returning her gaze to her paws. "My-my name's Gordon Cipher." Might as well give her last name, since he gave his. Hearing Hazel come over, the little she-cat looked up at her, but didn't reply since she wasn't sure if she should introduce Dale for him.

It's a good idea to leave your troubles— Cooper smiled brightly as yet another member of The Ascendants approached. He was drawing in quite a crowd now, wasn't he? Well, it's a good thing he wasn't here to fight or he'd be easily outnumbered. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Lunafreya." he said, eyeing Bast as he approached. "I'd absolutely love a tour of your home," he responded politely to the serval, glad he wouldn't have to figure it all out himself. The canine directed his attention now to the grey bengal that had introduced himself as Bast, though Cooper had a feeling that wasn't his complete name. "Thank you for the warm welcome, Bast," said Dale. As he watched the brown feline approach, he had the distinct realization that he had yet to see anything other than a feline gather here. He wasn't intruding on a feline only group, was he? As the cocoa colored feline reached him, he gave her a kind look. "The name is Dale Cooper. It's lovely to meet you Hazel" he said, excitement readying itself to boil over. But, he forced himself to keep it contained as Gordon introduced herself. "it's nice to meet you, Gordon" he said to her softly. The warm colored canine lifted his head to look at the full group gathered around him. He'd hoped to meet the Starrynight he'd been told had formed the group upon arriving but, if not it was fine. Starry would have no idea who he was anyways but cooper would like to let him know that word of his group had traveled far. "I do have a question though. Could any of you tell me where I could later find your leader? His name is Starrynight, I do believe." asked Dale Cooper, unaware of the loss the group had gone through recently. —at home when operating a vehicle. He didn't look at Hazel, but he could feel the heat of her golden aura, radiating off of her in ways. He wished he knew why her aura seemed so lively and reactive, why hers invoked physical warmth in a way that few others did, but alas, it seemed like he was just forced to suffer through it. It was like she was trying to force him to acknowledge her presence just by existing, and Bast didn't really want to do that. Instead, he resolutely kept his gaze on this stranger, nodding vaguely in response to his reply. [align=center]BASTILLEPRISONER — ASTRAL SERAPH — TAGSIt wasn't until he started asking his question that Bastille realized that this could only be going somewhere that he didn't want it to, and for a brief moment, he wondered if his upper could withstand the sudden pang of hearing Starry's name. As it turned out, it couldn't. There was an uptick in the breeze as Bastille felt something in him twist, and he found himself speaking as if it was someone else, his voice low, "Starrynight died recently. He's gone." That was it. He didn't have it in him to offer anything else, and it wasn't like he was going to fucking introduce himself in Starry's place, anyway. Bast had never once offered his title to a joiner, and with the bitter loss fresh on his tongue, he wasn't going to start now. |
